As a researcher I will tell you age doesn't disqualify a study. If that was so over half the things you learn in school would be invalid. I reference papers in my research all the time that are 30+ years old.

I said many; not all. I didn't even say most. I realize some posters here were hurt by men. But i don't think that is a good reason to slut shame men (referring to your comment about porn). The subset of women who are low libido sometimes have a hard time relating to the subset of men who are high libido. Understandable but it will probably be good in your life if you assume the best intentions in men rather than the worst.

I'm not disagreeing with those things, but there are more things correlated with the "romantic novel" male love interest. He can intuite your needs and feelings with a glance? No one is a mind reader. Is gorgeously handsome but also highly intelligent? Possible but rare. Has a highly successful job but has loads of free time for you? Also possible but rare. I could go on but romance novels aren't really realistic.

I see where you are coming from. And yeah it would be best if men (and women) improved themselves. However, we are all imperfect (and perfection is different for everyone). If you want a man like in romance novels the least you can do be the perfect woman. Unrealistic? Yes.

My response was cheeky, but in no way an insult. Didn't think you would take such offense. In answer to your main concern, men and women have the same frequency and levels of fetishes. That is the mainstream conclusion in academia of psychology, in the same way academia agrees the earth is round. Do you need sources to prove that? But here are some easy to read papers to get you started if you need them: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/2760402/ https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/7122770/ If you dis…

Oh sweet summer child if you mean to imply men have more fetishes than women, you have been deeply sheltered. As far as turn ons/offs (for both men and women), those are mostly determined by the media/influences you consume growing up. One of many reasons why women today are turned off by men so often, is you're attracted to imaginary people (true for men as well, see Japan for example). You compare the men you see in real life to fictional men written be to flawless. The difference is men as a …

I wish women would stop thinking every woman is like them. Can't tell you how many women think: no woman likes being flirted with by a stranger, no woman is attracted to men's butts, no woman likes raising children, etc. The list goes on and on.

That is just silly. Leo is legitimately still gorgeous. Just because you think he is ugly doesn't mean most women think he is. I sometimes think most women here are lesbians or asexual (which is fine) and can't relate to heterosexual women.

Yes and no. They aren't looking for millionaires, but they are definitely looking for someone with a healthy 401k. How many men have that now a days? Not as many as you think. And that's okay, not every man can be upper middle class.

To make a generalized statement on this would be misleading. In statistics jargon, there are 2 main clusters. Hot men form long term relationships a lot easier. The other men struggle a lot more. All jokes aside, we are not used to viewing men as helpless. In many respect modern men are helpless. Women don't know how to respond to more men being less confident and less men taking initiative in dating.

You've never heard another woman talk about how cute a guy's butt is or gawk at a model's abs? That's outrageously surprising. My friends would do that all the time. Maybe gen-Z is different from millenials. The data here shows women's choices are less spread out and more concentrated (on certain people). This implies similar preferences among women.

You're not reading between the lines where it would be helpful. Many men are too embarrassed to phrase it as "I can't find a relationship", but that is what their actual pain is. There is a common saying among incels, "Anyone who can afford a <sex worker>, is not truly involuntarily celibate". A crude way of putting it, but there is a grain of truth there. Would paying a sex worker make the incels truly happy? Would they stop feeling bad about themselves? Not really. What they really want is to …

I think there are some things that women find (nearly) universally attractive. Abs, toned butts, and tall stature are at least as prevalent on women's most liked features. If anything the data shows women have far more similar taste (as compared to men).

Since you probably won't get a self aware answer from anyone else, I'll tell you the truth. In comedy there is the principle of "punching up". Most women subconsciously think making fun of men or ragging on them as "punching up".

Dating/sex/relationships are fucked for gen Z. Their synapses are burnt out on constant stimulation. Best case their addictions lead them to have unrealistic expectations in relationships (see SO as a side character in their story). Worst case they become shut-ins lost in their addictions. To be clear, in the past it wasn't much better, but it was pragmatic. Women married for money, children, security, and socially acceptable sex. Men likewise married for children, family caretaking, and sociall…

Tips for increasing your chances with women as a man (nothing is absolute): 1. Have basic social skills 2. Be atleast average looking 3. Be extroverted 4. Have low standards for women (If you're a 5 be willing to date a 4) If you can do all four things you will likely find a girlfriend (no guarantees if you like her though).

I would say it matters a lot just not exactly how most men think. Too long and you will likely hit the cervix which is painful and no fun. Too short and you likely will have a hard time reaching the g-spot. But despair not short sausage men you can do what lesbians do and stimulate the bean (or wear a strapon). No man is too wide (we can fit a baby's head through there you aren't stretching anyone).

Yes, but no. Men sometimes tease about size in the high school locker room. No man out of college is ever getting teased about size from other men. Men care about their own size but only because most women care about men's sizes. My girlfriends talk about their boyfriends' sizes more often than you would think and they often laugh about how terrible sex is with short sausage men.

In the US, civil rights succeeded because of two things. The non-politians that supported civil rights were by and large those that were losing in society at the time, African Americans and hippies. AA's obviously wanted basic rights and hippies wanted to stick it to the man. The politians only passed civil rights because JFK saw that Democrats were losing votes in Congress and needed a boost to their voting base. Also LBJ blackmailed over half of Congress to get it to pass. Civil rights didn't …

I've seen plenty of your posts so I'm confident you are being honest about yourself, however your beliefs (as much as I admire them) do not represent the majority of women. Most women prefer the man pay for the date in full. Is that fair? No, but what can we do as a society to change that? And the gifts most women give are much cheaper compared to what their lover spends on them.

I get where you are coming from and agree with a lot of it. I agree the height thing is a slight jump. However, I will say men are told from a young age that to be an ideal man you need to be big and strong. That includes height. That is very much a social expectation. The dick size thing I don't think is a jump. Whether dick size preference is objectification or not is up for debate. What is clear is men often feel objectified when shamed for dick size. If they believe women only care about dic…

I honestly feel this must be a bad faith argument cause it's really easy to understand. The behaviors exhibited by women listed by OP (call it toxic femininity if you want) influence men to embrace toxic masculinity. Logically that is true, however human psychology does not assume people are always logical. Even though first world nations are way safer, women in first world countries are still by and large afraid to walk around at night. Men are trained to be mentally tough, so they are less afraid of violence even though they are more likely to experience it.

Thing about RP is when you talk about actions you may get some women to agree with you, but when you ascribe these actions to negative motivations or shallowness you lose most women. You have to understand language and framing is everything in these matters. Men and women have largely the same motivations. The difference is men have the privilege of generally being physically stronger. Mazlo's hierarchy of needs puts physical safety as the most basic need humans have. Physically weak people have…

Depends how it's used. Yes many take it to extremes and I don't condone that. However, RP fundamentally teaches men the real world is tough, so improve yourself, and don't wait for hand outs. It teaches women that we are accountable adults and ultimately responsible for how our life turns out. I benefit from RP content because it helps me to understand my husband better and how to strengthen our relationship. I assume by "y'all" you mean men. Unfortunately, I am not one them. Make no mistake, I understand that compromise and cooperation are options, but unfortunately they are misleading. They still contribute to one partner being dominant over the other. In compromise there is always someone with more leverage. You compromise with your boss, but she still has power over you. In cooperation there is always someone who benefits more. You cooperate with your boss but she still has power over you. If you…

Yes you are 99% correct, but like a government with no clear leader, a relationship where there is no one person who has more power than the other leads to stalemates. This leads to one of two outcomes: either no decisions are made when there is disagreement (which can go very badly depending on the situation) or one person backs down (thus the other person becomes the dominant in the situation). The obvious trend in human nature is one person will back down much more often than the other becomi…

I mean hormone therapy is kind of an exception to that rule. So that is not really a fair statement. When you have 300+ ng of testosterone, then yes you can understand what it is like to have 300 ng+ of testosterone, else you don't.

I don't know if this relates, but here I go. You want to understand the relation between women and men? Think of of humans as animals because we are. Men instinctively want to spread their seed to as many women as possible (polyamory/cheating). Women instinctively are selective with mates. Women instinctively want strong genes for their children (alpha fux) and a comfortable nest to raise the young (beta bux). Women have three hormonal settings: nonpregnant fertile phase, pregnant phase and meno…

Women vary in libido. Some want 3 times a day, some don't want any ever (and that varies with age). Despite what most women will tell you, yes some women play hard to get. (I am reluctant to say that because too many people on the spectrum misinterpret signs and can't read body language. If you're unsure caution on the side of she's not interested). Men are not actually thinking about sex 24/7. They want validation, just like us women. Because of how selective women are with men, men subconsciou…

Those are good points, but think about this: Men are going to college less and less. If we assume most women desire a college grad, that makes the dating scene harder for women. The law of supply and demand dictates that men with college degrees will increasingly have more levage in relationships

Hmm I don't know. Works in a short relationship, but can you keep that up for years? You may have baggage, but you can word it in such a way to save face. You could have the most pathetic depressing backstory, but if you have a silver tongue you can still look confident/competent.

That's a nice way of looking at it. I think you might be thinking I am making a more absolute statement than I intend to convey. My husband for example is not 100% all the time, but he rarely if ever panics. That keeps me from panicking. I have complete faith in him and he has complete faith in me. That allows the both of us to be united in virtually all our decisions. By the same token if you have a wife, no matter how strong she is, if you get sick/killed that is going to shake her world. Espe…

I wouldn't go so far as to say "they can't manage without him", but if your husband is sick/killed it will put a lot more stress on your shoulders. It is more psychological than anything, having a man who has his shit together makes you feel more hopeful or confident everything will be okay. Various cultures have slight differences obviously, but I don't think this is just an American thing.

I would say 9/10 times you can feel free to lose composure with women as long as they don't rely on you for anything. Your sister, mother, or most other women are fine. They may think you're a mess and not dependable, but that's fine. Don't keep secrets from your significant other, and tell them how you feel, but keep calm infront of them. Cry infront of your therapist, other friends, or family (even if they're women), but don't cry infront of your wife/gf.

Yes there are exceptions like you mentioned. To address your first point, yes some women ignore asshole behavior because they think they can change him (especially if he's hot). The second point, I couldn't really say how much those two groups overlap, what is important is many women believe the two groups are distinct thus why they ignore obvious signs when they see an asshole bully other guys. For example, I had a friend in high school who dated a real asshole who was always getting into fight…

Caution coming from a red pill girl speaking generally not individually: There is just a misunderstanding in some areas. In general asshole guys act nice to women when first meeting them (think chads) so women don't find out till later and think men who shit talk those assholes are jealous. Most women aren't that confident they can take care of themselves so desire a man who is competent. If you appear confident that is enough to fool most ladies to think you are competent. I agree with you that is ideal. That being said these are underlying desires that are hard to keep in check. Many don't keep these in check. And very few women hold out for a man that fits all criteria, we settle. But yes if only all of us were more mature.

This is why finding and maintaining relationships is hard in first world nations. To some degree all us women settle or feel like we are settling when we enter a long term relationship. We get all these expectations from the romance genre and expect men to take on all these paradoxical traits.

As a woman I can tell you my opinion. Straight women (much like men) enter relationships with people based on their psychological needs. However you never get everything you want. Generally: You desire a man who is dominant/powerful, but expect he will be submissive to you.
