Dealing with SeparationI second this as someone who divorced in 2017 after 6 years of marriage and 10 years together. Once you're in counseling, the foundation is cracked permanently most likely. | /r/Divorce_Men | 08/05/23 12:46 AM
How do you guys deal with the fact your ex-wives could pick anyone up in a week, but it might take you YEARS (or never)?I think you're being pretty hard on yourself, I was divorced at 40, hit the gym, quit smoking and drinking and dropped 60 lbs in about 4 months. Set some goals and get on higher ground, you can become even better than before but it's going to take work. Use that anxiety/energy that we all get through and after divorce for good use. I "dated" a 26 year old for awhile about 2 years after my divorce, it was fun and she was SMOKING hot! You got this bro! | /r/Divorce_Men | 12/04/23 07:30 PM

I just need to ventBro that's brutal, I couldn't even imagine doing that after my divorce, it was bad enough to see my ex on Instagram w someone else during our separation, much less getting ring side seats to her coming and going. Try to find a way out if you can, nobody should have to sit there and take this, that's just downright cruel. | /r/Divorce_Men | 03/04/23 06:43 PM
Help omg helpYou're definitely being tested. Been there man, sucks so bad, I know. Stay tough and focused, for you first then your son. Believe it or not, better days are ahead. We just have to get you through this first. Pray about it if you can and are one to pray about things. My ex-wife went absolutely ape shit on me so she could get her way. Gaslighting and manipulation all the way. Try to keep contact with w her minimal if you can right now. Less is more w them and you don't want to say something you'l… | /r/Divorce_Men | 01/04/23 02:12 AM
Big expenses during divorce processI'd tell her to kick rocks buddy......she can pay for that herself. This is about YOU now. | /r/Divorce_Men | 29/03/23 11:51 PM
Am I over reacting? She's moving on buddy, nearly same scenario happened to me in year 6 of marriage. I won't get into the details but it's time to start being strategic and protecting what's yours. Good luck, here if you want to vent. | /r/Divorce_Men | 25/03/23 07:03 PM
The BEST parts about being divorcedWow, this is trash, I'd never survive this marriage.....I have friends that are Disneynerds that are weird enough for me but I'm 46, no thank you on Mickey and the Gang. Let's go to Cabo! | /r/Divorce_Men | 22/03/23 06:19 PM
The BEST parts about being divorcedBro, I've been divorced 6 years now, those kind of trips you start hating 90 days out every year. We always had to go to her mom's for Christmas and Easter and well f my family or what I wanted to do or even invite them. It was miserable, I liked my MIL alright but she lived in a huge house that was very stuffy and looked like it was staged for a catalog shoot. They never played music or background noise so you can always hear people chewing and just looking at each other. ZERO personality on he… | /r/Divorce_Men | 22/03/23 06:07 PM
Wife and I starting The TalkI'd save your money and time on that therapy, I got pulled into that and it only made things worse. The therapist really triggered her to even be more upset and angry and we made it through two or three sessions and she filed. The guys are right, once they lose respect for you it's time to move on, you'll never change a woman's mind about anything, especially matters of the heart. | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/03/23 12:14 PM
What I've learned from this sub so farReading everything here takes me back to 4 years ago when I was going through my divorce. Women will say anything to a vulnerable man who is willing to do anything to keep his family together. My ex wife actually told me and I was dumb enough to believe this that "I want a clean start, a divorce so WE can start a new relationship together. We'll probably have sex after our hearing, but I need some formality (sign here here and here)" and when I didn't sign she flipped out and told me she never l… | /r/Divorce_Men | 31/05/21 03:14 PM
Your Every Once in a While ReminderI wish I had read this 4 years ago during my divorce. I didn't even fight for the house because I had other legal issues pending thanks to her and her Dad crying wolf about me. Strike first and strike hard is right, otherwise she'll bury you alive and never give a care less about it moving forward. | /r/Divorce_Men | 30/05/21 10:31 PM
Good days/Bad daysDating should be the last thing you need to stress over right now. Believe me man, I know there's a huge void to fill but find the new version of you, relax and take it day by day. Out chasing women got me nowhere but laid a few times and ghosted a ton more 4 years ago after my divorce. Make yourself a priority and it will pay off in the long run, I'm not wrong about this, I assure you. Good luck, it sucks man but you'll come out on the other end alright. | /r/Divorce_Men | 03/05/21 12:05 AM
