Some people are just made for battle. In the same way a farmer finds purpose working with animals and crops, a warrior finds purpose in combat and survival. For some they simply lack better options. Plus there’s a lot of really good benefits to being in the military. No judging my dude.

The standard exists to determine if you have the physical capability to carry someone off the battlefield among other things that concern war. You either need to be able to run X distance in X minutes, or you don’t. 2 sets of rules for that is ridiculous.

Men are choosing to be a tradcon. Even if the reason has to do with society, it’s still his choice. Even if you disagree with it. Die on whatever hill you want, I won’t stay silent while you disgrace a man’s choice because you disagree with it.

Your hate weakens the men’s rights movement and makes us no better than feminists. And for what? Because you disagree with how someone else lives their lives?

Don’t be like feminists dude. Each guy should have a right to choose how he wants to live. Judging your fellow man for how he lives is no better than feminists demanding each woman work full time and judging housewives. Be better.

At the end of the day you have to ask yourself whatre your options? What can you actually do about people speaking out against your ideals? You’ll find that most of the time the answer is nothing. No one ever said the fight would be easy. There’s going to be resistance, you can’t expect everyone to just roll over and embrace our way of thinking. When faced with resistance I recommend stoicism. I’m sure there’s other answers but this is mine.

This goes back to pre-feminism. The world was built for men initially, so all the laws put in place were for men and designed to hold men accountable, where is women primarily had to answer to their husbands, not to say they were exempt from the law, women just weren’t significant enough back then to be taken seriously so the law and law enforcement officials mostly ignored them. Fast forward to now and we basically act the same when it comes to responsibility and accountability, even though wom…

Germany has universal healthcare, so I’ll let you decide if that’s free healthcare or not. The whole country has not “banned free access to abortion,” abortion is illegal but there is a very large amount of subtext put into all laws in Germany to highlight unique circumstances. For example if you’ve only been pregnant for a certain amount of time (I believe it’s 6 weeks or less,) they will allow it with conditions. Germany is an extremely accountable nation, they give access to a lot of resource…

This isn’t true. It’s illegal in Germany. They have certain circumstances that make it acceptable though. For example depending on how far along they are they can get an abortion with conditions such as they’re required to get therapy afterwards among other things. My wife’s studying German law otherwise I wouldn’t know that lol. But just so we’re clear I don’t agree that abortion should be treated in a black and white manner.

My wife and I had this discussion yesterday, because we concluded that “equity,” has its place. For example a dislexic student needs extra help. We got into the subject because she found a post that talked about a female office worker who asked her boss for a trash can in the women’s stall so she could dispose of “feminine products,” (tampons,) in a hygienic way instead of carrying a bloody tampon from the stall to the trash can by the sink. Her boss said no because it was a waste of company mon…

I was in a situation like that. Thankfully my job has me traveling a lot. The first time I wasn’t around her and couldn’t reach her was a big help. It might sound silly but the distance gave me a lot of clarity. I told her why I was leaving, let her spew out all of her rage, then broke it off and informed her that she’d be blocked because I needed space. My honest advice is to take your son on a “mother son trip.” The reason you’ll want it phrased that way, is because even if she sees you as a t…

Cry if you need to, screw everyone else’s opinion, cryings normal. As for not fighting meaning you’re a coward, it doesn’t, it just means you don’t like fighting. If you want to join the military, join the Air Force, they’re closer to a business than the other branches, you could join as a medical specialist, or even end up working in the dining facility, either way not every job demands you to be a traditional “warrior,” type. There’s military subreddits out there you can ask more about it on, …

To be clear 1st wave feminism believed men and women were both systematically oppressed. That being said the initial goal was to get women equal rights, (voting, working, etc.) in that regard they were oppressed, they could not work or vote and that’s a choice I believe everyone should be allowed to make. Somewhere along the way I believe largely during 3rd wave feminism, they stopped believing men were victims of an oppressive system. I believe this was also the beginning of the end of feminism…

I’m active in mra and this community. I’m somewhat moderate on most issues. That being said, I 100% call out toxic behaviors from all of my friends. I had a friend who I found out was cheating and I tore him a new one and he apologized. I had a friend who had poor taste in women and went through some messed up stuff, he started to hate women and drink a lot, I told him I preferred him sober and talked about my wife a lot until he realized good women do exist. I’ve seen a couple, tbh I preferred them to male therapists, I’ve got a lot of shit I need to sort through, I never really needed solutions, mostly I needed to vent and get perspective, between the 4 therapists I’ve seen 2 were men and 2 were women. The men offered solutions and the women listened and offered perspective. So far the female therapists were what I needed. Not to say male therapists won’t do this, it just hasn’t been my experience so far.

I think most of the people on this sub have heard that. I think we’re worn down, tired and silenced by our feminist counterparts on a frequent basis, so our responses stem from our experiences. That being said I think both movements could benefit from temperance, and I fear that if the people who speak on men’s rights don’t learn to temper themselves we’ll become the very people we hate. I think that’s what you’re trying to say, and if it is, I think you should share this sentiment with the femi…

If this isn’t a downer I don’t know what is lol. I don’t even know what to do with this adage. When you find the right person all I have to say is you don’t fixate on the divorce you live happily in the present and do everything you can to make sure it never ends.

I stick to my “pack,” mostly. I ignore a lot of the noise from the internet and the people around me, and just focus on what makes me happy. For a long time I simply couldn’t ignore it. Just keep working on yourself, once I met my wife, and started doing things I enjoyed, built a decent social circle, I sort of just stopped caring. I didn’t even notice it, one day I was simply more content and at peace. It was a hard and exhausting journey, but it got better with time.

For me I found a woman who made me happy and I wanted someone to love me. Finding the right person was a long journey, but once I found her life became better. We play video games together, watch movies, go on walks, discuss problems (mra, feminism, and others.) honestly I married my best friend. The key is not to settle, know what you’re looking for, and be deliberate in searching for her. I wanted a girl that I found attractive, who was easy and fun to talk to, and who would cook for me. I’d be willing to cooperate with feminists with conflicting ideologies if they gave a damn about equality. Honestly I don’t want to fight a fight to screw anyone over though. I’d rather fight a fight to help people as a whole, both men and women. Honestly it’s shocking to me that the men’s rights movement and feminism aren’t allies.

South Korean women do adopt more of a traditional gender role. Out of all the countries I’ve been in, American women have the strongest stance against traditional gender roles, the rest are more content with them. Honestly if we get into world war 3, it’s going to be genuinely insane how quickly everyone falls back into traditional gender roles. And the overwhelming weight of reality in that moment is going to humble a lot of people really fast. The only ones it might not is American women and t…

No unfortunately not, pretty sure I heard about it in a Reddit thread. I assumed it was a pretty common practice, I mean research takes funding, sometimes government, sometimes private party. If it’s private party, and the hypothesis of the individual funding it gets disproven then the research discredits their agenda, so it doesn’t get published.

To be clear people living a life of crime are often victims of a broken past. Completely random attacks are extremely uncommon also, so quoting that statistic is also misleading. Fun fact quoting any statistic at all is completely misleading. The commonly advertised gender pay gap is a misleading statistic, because it uses the uncontrolled metric which doesn’t properly measure what’s often being described, it’s a better determination for which gender holds higher paying positions in jobs, where …

I had a coworker who wanted to get paid for doing nothing, those were her exact words to be clear. Now at first I laughed it off and said “who wouldn’t?” That was until her supervisor started giving her tasks and she’d have a full blown panic attack then run to his boss and tell him that he was bullying her. So first of all, facts and statistics are tricky in an emotional setting. A men’s rights group is an emotional setting, we’re angry due to certain injustices they’ve faced. Second of all men went through a pretty hardcore identity crisis lately due to the whole “toxic masculinity,” thing. See by reducing the issue down to a cute 2 word statement, the issue became vague, men felt as though masculinity itself was being called toxic, this was true for a lot of us, because feminists were using the t…

I think after giving birth women should get 3 months maternity leave to recover from their injuries, then I think there should be 1 year parental leave at the parents discretion, they can divide the time however they want. Got some clarity from another comment that this wasn’t in the USA. But just to be clear it’s not an exaggeration lol. There’s an actual rule in the UCMJ that says you can only have missionary sex. It’s punishable by 25 years to life in prison. So is being late to a dentist appointment 🤷🏼‍♂️.

I think equality is achievable, but I think equity is what feminism aims at right now. I’m not a fan of equity because it can quickly turn into entitlement. Everyone feels they should be at the top, but didn’t put in the same work as the person who made it, so they assume it was because of some kind of injustice. So to me men’s rights movements should be pushing back against “equity,” and aspiring for equality. Laws that support equity are largely the problem from my perspective.

I couldn’t agree more, I think feminism was supposed to be about giving women the same rights as men, but it turned into a movement dedicated to new gender roles among other things. They often times speak out against women who want to be stay at home wives/moms. My wife’s a stay at home wife at the moment and will probably be a stay at home mom whenever we have kids. She enjoys taking care of me, and I don’t abuse her trust and take care of her too. At the end of the day though we’re happy, so s…

In the military absolutely. The articles in the UCMJ can get you for a lot of things. Military members aren’t legally allowed to have sex in positions other than missionary. It’s an extremely strict set of rules that’s technically impossible to adhere to. They can get you arrested for almost anything if they don’t like you 🤷🏼‍♂️.

I personally would not want a child to be raised without both parents. Coming from a broken home I know all too well how much worse off a child is with only 1 parent. That being said life has never once been fair to me, I don’t expect it to be, I make decisions and live with the consequences, that’s why I try and be careful what I stick my dick in 🤷🏼‍♂️😂. The feminist movement didn’t accomplish anything until enough people were on board. Think about what’s going on in a lot of Western European countries. Take Germany for example, the lawmakers tried to pass a bill to tax farmers more. Farmers didn’t like this so they protested, (the adult version of complaining,) now half the country is literally outside city hall with pitchforks and torches complaining. They’re doing this to put pressure on their lawmakers to make changes. So to be clear, we the…

Not alone at all, I’m right there with you, I even found a wife who’s the same way, so now we are both opting out of society. There’s 2 worlds that I see. My world, and society’s world. My world’s pretty chill, lots of snacks and gaming and laughing, and unfortunately I go to work but no world can be perfect. Then there’s society’s world, and that place is just the worst. I recently learned about this too! Weird, yeah couldn’t agree more. It’s deliberately misleading. I just tell everyone about it. When a woman says “women make 82 cents to the dollar,” I simply say that isn’t true, they get upset google it and show me, then I show them the controlled/uncontrolled pay gap and they get disgruntled and say they’ll have to look into that more. Then I never hear from them about it again and I couldn’t be happier for that.

This is a tough question. Personally I like when my wife does this. I can think of a few other guys who do too. I don’t mind being “seduced,” often times I only want sex if my wife wants sex. So based on my own experiences and bias’ I’d say no. However you should set firm boundaries with future partners, make sure they know if youre not ok with something. I’m going to focus primarily on one part of your post, the fact that you still want the best from her. This is a very decent mindset. If you truly want the best for her you’ll let her deal with this completely on her own and be held accountable to the fullest extent. If you try to help her she’ll learn nothing and continue down this violent and explosive path she’s on, and if she’s not doing it to you she’ll do it to someone else. It’s a tough one for sure. I think guys hanging out with each other would help a lot. Normalizing the idea of running errands with each other since the regular hustle and bustle of life makes it difficult to find time to do things with friends. Gotta go grocery shopping? Hey so does your buddy. Need to go to the bank, grab your boy. I think that would help a little. I can’t really think of a cure for loneliness other than friendship or a relationship though 🤷🏼‍♂️

I think you might have misread my message. I’m not lonely, engaging in conversations with people ensures I don’t get lonely, I’m comfortable talking to people that’s all. That being said I did prefer germans to Americans, I found them to be more straight forward and authentic. Because he did the actual killing he got the harsher sentence, plus he had a worse lawyer and he’s a dude. In terms of the law, it makes sense. In terms of right and wrong that’s a whole different conversation. My personal beliefs are neither of them should be in jail. I have no remorse for gypsy rose’s mother, if she didn’t want to get killed she shouldn’t have abused her power and ruined someone’s life. If I’m being honest I think the fact that either of them are in jail is a joke.

My bad I just realized I didn’t really answer your question. I’m not lonesome but that’s because I don’t have a hard time starting conversations with strangers. I go to restaurants ask the person behind the counter how their days going so far and actually want to know. I do this with everyone and it helps me feel closer to people. So I don’t have any practical or helpful input to the loneliness problem other than focus on yourself and how you can combat loneliness.

I can only speak from my experiences, but I considered Germans as a whole to be very grounded, practical, fair, and efficient. For example the autobahn: the left lane is exclusively for passing, if someone drives up behind you and you don’t move they’ll flash their brights. If you still don’t move they’ll honk. And if you still don’t move you can safely count on the fact that 3 or 4 other cars will start cutting you off and honking their horns, basically trying to kill you so that you understand…

I lived in Germany for a while and really liked it. My wife’s from there so I plan on moving there a few years from now. I recommend traveling, plane tickets to Europe from the USA (not sure if that’s where you’re from,) are very affordable. There are places and governments out there that prioritize these things. Oddly optimistic. I compared the number of followers on this subreddit compared to the feminism subreddit and was pleasantly surprised to see this subreddit had more followers. More and more people are becoming aware of the issues men face, I don’t think politically or publicly it’s going to improve, but I think there’s a good chance that the bulk of the people on here will teach their kids about the hardships men deal with and as a result the long term future will be better. It’s a messed up world for sure when that’s a risk you take when you protect someone. But like I said it’s just an instinct for me. Maybe it’ll be different if I ever do get in trouble for trying.
