Based on various news moves, it appears the left is tired of not dominating the military institution and wants to add it to its quiver of political resources to wage political war with culturally & economically against the right. They dominate the brass already but the rank & file have not been as cooperative.

The idea of raising children today as a father is terrifying. nearly no power almost all the responsibility off the chain accountability risks This is how the America is being destroyed. Not by guns. Not by force. But by making the raising of children with traditional values verboten.

Every remake, sequel, prequel, these days feels like fanfic done by the writers of Twilight. Just weird politics with a badly done, thin, spray-paint job of whatever the original was.

Can't say I've done so well avoiding them, but I agree I wanna see it as it is. I feel like it used to be OK for a man to openly put things in their place and call out bullcrap, and then the relationship was managable. But somewhere along the way, saying the truth got turned into "sexism." And now it's like fighting a lion with a toothpick. You're gonna get taken.

People, if you feel coerced, in any way, or have been drinking, and suspect at ALL you might be falsely accused, go to register rape accusations FIRST. The first to accuse has the advantage and the crazies on one side of the divide have mastered the tactic of first accuser. Normal, ethical, well meaning, folk, haven't. The crazies beef up the system, accuse, and then use that system to destroy you. You never stood a chance. Only way to win is to accuse first. Or better yet, don't do flings & one…

Very solid point. I had a very kind "people pleaser" and exuberant temperament for a long time. Just sincerely excited about people, the world, etc. Obviously I had a lot of bad reactions to that. Listening to more extreme personalities like Patrice, or hearing about MJ, it really helped me get to a more centered and balanced approach for me. Stop being so nice. But a guy like Brand, helps me know I don't HAVE to be an asshole.

I perused both the "datingoverforty" and the "datingoverthirty" subs. The difference is palpable. You could cut the feeling of despair with a knife in the over forty sub. Just pure pain in so many posts. I feel worse for opening that door. Man. Do NOT go to that sub if you're over forty. =shudder= The over thirty sub seemed cheery enough. More power to them if they wanna dance with the Devil.

Oh man. His Hall of Fame speech was just one long rant against anyone who ever slighted him. It was ugly. What he did to Barkley? Cold. I found this on reddit for ya: Barkley Story - The day before game 4 of the Bulls Suns finals with the Bulls leading the series 2-1. Michael and Charles Barkley went golfing. They played 48 holes of golf. And Michael bought Charles a $20,000 diamond earring. Johnny asked MJ, “what did you do all that for?” Michael responded, “he won’t get in my way the rest of t…

You're right about Patrice. I could NEVER be that harsh to people. It's just not in me. But I admire it in him. Good points about Brand too. They are both such extremes. But they demonstrate that something about each approach. Especially Patrice. Something can be learned from them both. Sorta like how Michael Jordan is a complete asshole, but I still really admire him. And his asshole nature probably cannot be divided from his success. We can learn something there.

Thanks for posting that. I'd never heard of this. I've read Carnegie's book, and while I agree mostly, it is very Mr. Rogers, very "Gollee gee." We all know now that women hate nice guys in their bones and loooooove men like Killmonger from "Black Panther." I don't want to be Mr. Rogers. Nor Killmonger. I want to draw inspiration from Patrice O'Neal, or Russell Brand. They can/could just talk, and talk, and talk, and it always feels like you're moving forward to interesting places.

I'm not perfect, still peruse dating sites. Regardless. The amount of piercings on girls these days is astounding. TONS of girls with nose rings. I choose some role models. I hear just one thing about them & I can think about it over & over. For example: I once heard that Trump has an amazing capacity to reset every morning. I think about that all the time. How does he handle SO much crap, so many attacks, and wake up ready to go like nothing's wrong. He focuses on posituve things. Terry Cruz was deploying one feminine tactic after another & reaping huge rewards for doing so because he had a combination of massive muscular masculinity while socially signaling in feminine ways. He was seriously rewarded for it. Now, he used the logical side of his brain ONE time, instead of the feminine crowd pleasing method, & boom. He's out. Women are catty. If you play their catty game, then don't be surprised when they do it to you. Masculinity needs to be above that catty shit.

Feminism is a mix of elitist women & lesbians who at least both agree any male under 8/10 should be, in effect, neutered. Obviously lesbians want to ban all men from their sexuality so that they are never "bothered" by a male's human sexuality. They want to outlaw low tier men from even attempting to pursue mating & family raising. These women have a veritable army of men trying to woo them, and managing that power is hard, so they want society & the law to play bouncer for them so they can focu…

You're probably right man. It's fucking dismal. Seems like if you don't catch a girl in high school & get her locked down and pair bonded by your early 20's then all that's left by the time you get to mid-20's onward are really damaged girls. I know several guys who've done it that way, the ol' high school sweetheart from small towns and it seems good for them. I know some who are chained to mountain cats too from the same deal. But at that's just natural crazy. Not damaged girls.

Here is the feminist playbook: Decrease average female responsibilty. Increase average male responsibilty. And: Increase average female power & success. Decrease average male power & success. Even applying this to individuals is ok because it will contribute to the average. That's how averages are achieved, right? Why? "Equality." This is why the theory of patriarchy is so harmful. It displaces any ability to evaluate a situation by the facts & replaces perception with a lie.

Milo, Thanks for all you're doing. I especially enjoyed your most recent debate and your closing remarks addressing men specifically. I think TRP sometimes misunderstands that Mens Issues advocates aren't trying to sway women, they're trying to sway men. My question: what is TRP? You're missing the bigger picture. The allegation is that women are discriminated against in the top jobs. We all know women don't care about lack of parity in middle and and especially lower paying/status jobs. It's parity at the top levels of power they want. But the fact is, over and over we see that they DO often have preference at the top levels but they just don't choose those jobs. That's the ultimate driver of the "wage gap": choice.

Did you just want to be snarky or do you want to open-mindedly read up on things? My sense of things is that "stealth affirmative action" is in full swing now. This was first alerted about in 2006: http://www.theguardian.com/money/2006/jan/22/discriminationatwork.workandcareers Here is an interesting commentary on legal cases about how women get favored unfairly at the expense of men: http://www.personneltoday.com/hr/sex-discrimination-against-men-10-ways/ People bend over backwards to hire wome…

It's a misnomer really. A "wage gap" does not exist. It's an "income gap." I guess you could say: "The wages women earn in total is less" but ... "Wages earned" is income. When I say "wage gap" it implies a "same work, different wage" situation
/r/MensRights30/11/15 08:39 AM

At this point, women probably receive less sexism than men when it comes to the job. There are countless stories of men being undermined by their maleness and women promoted for their femaleness.

Probably the biggest one is, men are not allowed to openly take the lead discussing their own issues. What I mean is, if we had a panel of all women to discuss feminism, and women's advancement in society, that's "OK." In fact men are welcome to be supporters, but not leaders in coming up with explanations and solutions. But try establishing a men's group that allows men to come up with their own solutions to their own problems and within which women should only take a back seat (ie a men's grou…

Here is why this post is good. TRP maxim: "Men are the true romantics." Some people are shitting on this post yet it's asking a question that is probably exposes the biggest weakness of TRP which is this: TRP is not optimized masculinity. Optimized masculinity would allow for, and make a place for the true nature of men as the true romantics. But instead, in a tragic "Prisoners Delimna" scenario (game theory), it has wisely opted to give up their arm to save their life. Feeling deeply romantic i…

Again, practical gender specific advice is not sexism nor victim blaming. It's pre-emptive reasoning that does include taking some responsibility for your life outcomes. Taking that without good faith and then acting like there is a double standard (there isn't) is wrong. I think it's sexist that women want special considerations that reduce their responsibilities and force everyone else to walk on eggshells around them. They are shooting themselves in the foot (see recent articles about trouble…
/r/MensRights05/11/15 10:12 PM

In this case, they aren't valid arguments. Giving practical and gender specific advice is not sexist. AND it does not set up the court systems to render failures of justice. Do you really think we have an epidemic of court cases where the violent rapists are going free because the jury says: "Woah woah woah. There was a crime alert saying you should not be alone. And you WERE alone? Welp, sounds like the rapist had no choice but to attack you." Come on man.
/r/MensRights05/11/15 09:50 PM

Once we start making exceptions for women and agree to infantilize them because they want the power to be "right" no matter the realities, then we might as well just toss it in and join the "just believe" crowd.
/r/MensRights05/11/15 04:18 PM

/r/MensRights05/11/15 04:13 PM

I want to address this question you brought up cuz I just realized you posted it everywhere in this thread. A. It is treated like other crimes and "victim blaming" advice IS given regarding other crimes. B. If they didn't issue warnings specific to the crimes committed they would be making an exception for women because of feminists. C. You are asking: How does this writers request impact men's rights? Why are we concerned? She is not simply saying "Don't tell us not to walk alone." Her argument…

The feminist Utopia: Where every man is afraid to help a woman in any way lest there be a problem. Here is a link from another comment to you: http://www.essexnhw.org.uk/page_3071953.html Look at that terrible (/s) community "limiting" the lives by giving practical advice on fire, scammers, etc.
/r/MensRights05/11/15 03:24 PM

You know what? It took me 3 minutes to find out your position is weak. The fact is, this kind of "victim blaming" advice IS given to all people. She whines about how giving this advice implies that a woman take some responsibility for her outcomes. Yeah! Actually that is pretty standard. But it's not a stabbing. It's a violent rape. It's specifically targeting vagina owners. Why would it be treated as a stabbing? The sooner you acknowledge the real actionable and impactful differences between men and women, the sooner MRA positions will make sense to you. That's how this impacts men's rights. Nice try sw…
/r/MensRights05/11/15 02:56 PM

Women are not men. Why does this need to be explained to you? Can you imagine a med student asking about health treatments men vs. women and the instructor is like: "Meh, I just treat them the same. Fuck reality right? It feels better to me to act like they are the same."
/r/MensRights05/11/15 01:01 PM

Women are not men. Why does this need to be explained to you?
/r/MensRights05/11/15 12:57 PM

And avoiding a violent attack includes teaching people how to travel safely via numbers, not telling women to never go outside. And yes, we are aware that men are not told generally to not walk alone for fear of rape. In other news: men do not have vaginas. How sexist of God to give men pee-pees and women vaginas! Your extreme generalizing about the average MRA and low opinion of MRA thinking capacity is kinda depressing man. My experience has been very different than yours. I have seen well constructed and statistically broad evaluations of society that have been contrasted very well against a description of feminism that I've seen, experienced, and studied. I have deep respect for the MRAs that trying to win back the hearts of society and are taking on all the different forms that feminism has taken.
/r/MensRights04/11/15 01:11 PM

What you might be seeing is MRAs wrestling with a Motte & Bailey system of feminist defense. They're own definitions are sufficiently vague and set up to make it look like critics are attacking straw men when in fact it's just the feminists doing goal post moving and shifting definitions. Either way, I don't think you're giving MRAs a fair shake and you might be misunderstanding the nature of the feminist theory, usage and application and thus MRAs look like they're attacking shadows as feminist…
/r/MensRights04/11/15 12:24 PM

By your logic, we should be able to go to Jehovah's Witnesses to find out the best counter-arguments to Jehovah's Witnesses. In fact, according to your logic, no one can understand how wrong or right JWs are except ... JWs. Does that seem sensible to you?
/r/MensRights04/11/15 05:07 AM

You caught us. We're incapable of comprehending feminism's root theories. In fact no one can understand but true believers. /s In reality, you sound like a religious nut. As if our lack of faith in feminism's benevolence is blinding us from understanding it's truth. Every sociological theory makes an assumption and then expands outwards. Feminism's assumptions are plain wrong. Therefore its conclusions are wrong.

I've asked myself this. Feminism claims to be a study of "power." Perhaps the opposite of power would be risk/accountability/responsibility/loss. For instance, a reverse Bechdel test could be: Are there two males where one or both were able to garner reward (hero) without sacrifice, accountability, loss or responsibility? Feminism is essentially a study of the top echelons of power and cries about how it isn't 50% women. It's a failure of statistics 101. The opposite would be studies in the lowe…
/r/MensRights02/11/15 01:33 PM

That's just not true. Feminism is a social theory with presumptions and extrapolations just like every sociological theory. To suggest that only true believers of a sociological theory can understand said theory is ridiculous. No sociologist would say that's true. If it were true they'd need a different sociologist professor for every theory. Regarding MRAs, they've put a lot of effort into evaluating the demerits and contradictions in the theory and are just as capable of evaluation as feminist…

Don't let the downvoters get to us. You're right. They are conflating being a million relative to others in America/the world (where like, 99% of humanity lives) with being a millionaire in literally the richest areas on earth. Furthermore, being a millionaire ain't shit compared to the top%, or to modern cost of living. But compared to the world, it's a fucking lifetime of money if we take our eyes off Manhattan and just look around.

Wiki says this about Bell Hooks thinking: [Patriarchy] "identifies the ideological system itself (that men are inherently dominant or superior to women) that can be believed and acted upon by either men or women." As noted, there are precious few, and most certainly no mainstream groups saying this. Show me these reams of mainstream articles and applauded speeches claiming men are inherently superior. The idea of patriarchy is that this is the dominant system in America. Where is it? It's nowher…

Today I see men discussing ways to take responsibility for avoiding false allegations. They often brainstorm of ways to avoid the situation (texts, video, written contracts even) entirely because the reverse applies: False allegations happen. Avoiding a guilty verdict requires extensive effort because allegations can easily be fabricated/made up. False allegations today are easy to get away with due to a societal culture that tends to reverse the "innocent until guilty" rule in cases like this. …

Yes it does. The narrative here is that Feminist theory doesn't match up with the facts. It's like trying to use the Bible to explain the world. The facts tell a different story.
/r/MensRights19/04/15 05:42 PM

Why do you think that matters? It doesn't need to be done by women in order for it to be relevant to the fact that a "patriarchy" of in-group (men allegedly) and out-group (women, in theory)', supposedly exists that establishes some sort of privilege. Wow, I'm so privileged as a man that I'm way more likely to be murdered than a woman! That's some amazing privilege! /s Feminist theory just doesn't fit reality.
/r/MensRights19/04/15 05:39 PM

/r/MensRights19/04/15 05:34 PM

Females have more attempts. It makes me wonder this: why are "attempts" even brought up? How is it relevant? We don't know if attempts are real efforts, half hearted cries for help, attention seeking behavior, or what. It's nebulous. But actual deaths? Yeah it's pretty clear.

The basic form of a lot of feminist messages is that men need to change because their actions effect women and society negatively. Why? Because men are 50% of the climate. Soooo, how is it you cannot conceive of "men's rights" being in the same position? A lot of the actions women and feminists are taking is effecting men and society negatively. So of course we are talking TO the culprit.
