Purity balls are just sick af displays that pretend to be wholesome affairs when its about control and demanding young girls submit their autonomy to their father. I'm not calling for prohibition, I'm calling for calling them out for what they are, sick disgusting and inapropriate displays of young girls sexuality as a commodity that needs to be surrendered and submitted to their father. A social condemnation and shaming is far more effective than anything else, just like child beauty pageants. …

Because they both try to control young womens individual sexual and physical autonomy. And with those fathers there are all kinds of sick Freudian sexual obsessions at play. Have you ever seen one of those purity balls, like the Mike Johnson kind? All kinds of f ed up Ewwww and gross sexual undertones. Its about control and an attempt to wrestle autonomy away from young women, both for different underlying reasons.

Noone is forcing or manipulating to do anything, this is you gaslighting yourself into thinking so. Don't mistake the personal anecdotal experiences you've had as a fair and generalised representation for an entire gender btw. Know your worth and boundaries for your intimate relationships and protect and uphold those boundaries for your wellbeing and happiness in any (future) relationship. If you want to point out which seems to be a general sentiment hypocrisy in society on how it views women u…

Good observation. It's strange and new territory we us modern human beings are discovering and living through. The introduction of Social Media and its effects on our perception and mental well being are such a departure from the old norms and lead to so much increased social performative pressure. This constant keeping up of appearances that can't be good for anyone but especially our developing kids and teens it must have been and is pretty devastating. I for one am glad, not have to live thro…

Are you conscious that this view might be due to your exposure to curated imagery tenfolds or more above what you were not a decade ago? Use of filters and beauty bias might have wreaked havoc on our brains understanding of average beauty and appearance (That and the reduction of people smoking and being exposed to 2nd hand smoke has done wonders for everyone's aging appearance. Look at any yearbook photos from the 80s or earlier, they all look like 40 somehow).

Why would you need to settle? Why should anyone be with anyone if they aren't attracted to them? Isnt it a wonderful achievement that almost for the first time in human history, people are free to not partner up, because they have to because of survival or from social pressures to do so? To me it seems way more sad the idea of someone out of desperation or necessity setteling for a partner they feel no attraction to. Celebrate that you are free, and have the freedom to chose your own path in lif…

Thats some fascist ideas and desires there. 'I dont like a product because it makes women pick more handsome men for casual sex, and not me. So if we take away the freedom of people to use this product and services, which is used globally as the #1 method to secure a romantic partner, then they are forced to date uglier men, and you might have a chance to get my D wet, unlike the current situation. You hear how absolutely pathetic and fascistic that sound? And all because of your skill issue.

Women.....are now reprogrammed to be totally content alone Noone was reprogrammed, just now for the first time, women have the freedom to chose and exert some level of agency and autonomy. And because so many men have very little to offer to women that for a large group of women the choice to remain single isnt really a choice at all. It is true meri…

It takes a bit of a god complex to make it to the top in both of those. Also like most workplaces in the world, its an old boys network which selects on exactly those overambitious egotistical qualities (one of us). Yeah this isn't really about solving any fundamental social problem or relationship issues. This is about stiffeling female sexuality and the competition. Its usually the people who say they love the free market so much. Here is that free market you love so much, supply and demand, if you dont supply whats in demand, you will not be demanded, this should be the incentive to selfimprove and grow into someone who is sought after, instead of trying to change society so you can get some of that hand…

Why is anyone falling for this? They fear themselves and their own vulnerability the most, they need love and support, a sense of being loved, wanted and validated. They go to the wrong place because it allures to them that they never have to take their armour off or experience pain ever again. The illusion that they can't be harmed and that their spiritual void can be fillled with materialism is an enticing one for many.

Well it is happening to a certain extent, but you have to be able to let in some vulnerability and let go off coping that harms more than it heals. r/GuyCry r/MensLib r/masculinity_rocks are all prime examples of pro male movement/support that dont hinge on petty sexism, or faux 'Tate-bravado' (aka denialism)

Its a great taboo that noone is willing to admit to, but our obsession with age gap relationships stems from wanting to control young women's sexuality. Our biological instincts at work here, the most important biological asset bluntely speaking is procreation and fertility. We slutshame and try to discourage young women of forming relationships with older partners, because we unconsciously want them to remain 'pure', this because the unwritten biological social contract we have with them is tha…

No that would be a flaw in critical thinking. Think of 2 bell curves who have the same average however one is much larger then the other. The outliers of the larger bell curve spread out further then those of the smaller bell curve. Thats what this observation shows and doesnt give us any right to make such a conclusion

And? It would be a classical error to conclude something along the lines of: 'See! Men are smarter then women'. I do think men on average certain inate characteristic that give them a slight edge, on average in a game like chess. However the largest factor in explaining the difference is participation and competition. There are way less female then male players, who through less competition develop less skill, and then there are countless social and cultural factors that encourage/discourage cer…

Sexually desiring anything is hedonistic by definition, nothing really wrong with desire. Slutshaming and demanding chaste behaviour has everything to do with men's insecurities about infidelity. Just ignore any of it and live your best life regardless of what anybody says about how you chose to spend your individual sexual bodily autonomy.

Can't we promote that everyone should seek their own happiness in their own way that suits them the most. Not everyone is a good partner or should be in a relationship in this point in their life. There are a few issues with the eagerness to reach this conclusion. You kind of dismiss the very biased selfreporting (men always overreport, women always underreport) without a sufficient reason (other then it doesnt lend itself to the conclusion I want to reach). Another issue is in your presented data there is no quantifier, making no distinction between once having had a sexual experience in their lifetime and being a total freak 24/7. You misread my comment. I was criticising you espousing the myth of decriminalisation leads to 'skyrocketing' of unwanted behaviour and therefor excusing stripping bodily autonomy away from people. It's literally wanting to use the power of the state to force people to execute their bodily autonomy in a way that punishes them if they do it in a way you personally disagree with. Authoritarianism

The Turing test, originally called the imitation game by Alan Turing in 1950,[2] is a test of a machine's ability to exhibit intelligent behaviour equivalent to, or indistinguishable from, that of a human. Turing proposed that a human evaluator would judge natural language conversations between a human and a machine designed to generate human-like responses. The evaluator would be aware that one of the two partners in conversation is a machine, and all participants would be separated from one an…

All humans want to be sold a dream, thats how con artists work. Find out what is your marks hearts desire and dangle the illusion in front of them and hope they bite. In general for women its extreme wealth and love commitment, for men its being sexually desired by young, attractive women and get rich quick schemes. Once they're hooked on the illusion of attainment of said dream is when the con artist squeezes them dry. We're all vulnerable for this type of manipulation.

The equilibrium is being set in this moment. This is btw not universal but in western developed countries. We're heading for a polygamous society where the Beta males either shape-up (become financially succesfull, achieve social status, become attractive mates to women) or wont form relationships to women and will use surrogates such as porn and sex workers/robots. Wealth will become even more concentrated and those men as those with high social status and physical attraction will have multiple…

You do you, but then you follow up with some puritanical messaging, where your sexual experience is the 'gold standard' and everyone else should be the same or they are an abomination. Porn reflects what male preferences are dominant and this is still a hard pill to swallow. Men are simple creatures guided by two evolutionary traits: attraction to fertility signs (beauty and youth) and variety (coolidge effect). Porn is simply a mirror of those.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/08/21 09:50 PM

So how come that has more value then someone older. Or is it some sort of kink where in reality the opposite attraction is almost certain so this unlikely scenario becomes arousing?

I understand where you are coming from and you ask a good question. However the answer seems pretty self evident. Pornography just mirrors the (straight male) demand and the demand is and always will be young and beautiful women. Porn consumption has no influence on those preferences. Online pornography is especially attractive to men because of the illusion of endless variety and the perfect stimulation o…

It gives them a pragmatic incentive to ensure their kids are getting the best development in addition to the social pressure to fit an ideal of what parenting is. You mean the incentive norm coupled with a one child policy has lead to an abudance of males and a societal recipe for disaster.

You keep sidestepping and strawmanning the argument, this example of male disposability is not about the gender of the perpetrators this is about lack of sympathy for the victims. The hard truth as stated above women (and men as well) can't really have sympathy for the suffering of random men. You keep on trying to excuse the lack of empathy (or deny it's absence) as somehow justified because the perpetrators of these atrocities share their gender. It reveals this tribal gender mindset that is b…

You do realise Hypergamy does not equal promiscuity or polygamy. Quite the opposite hypergamy is the instinct of hyperselectivity to secure the most valueable mate. This is a highly monogameous instinct. For a male it would mean that they only are interested if you are a possible 9 or 10 and are not even willing to look at anyone else. We would socially compliment his lack of chasing skirt or anything with a pulse socially his high standards would be seen as choosing beggar.

Well it would be interesting to imagine if men had (sexual) acess to the top 20% women but still could not get pregnant and still have the Coolidge effect intact. The second paragraph is a great summary of the Bowling Alone trend of declining social capital. The first however is an argument to never have any kind of grouping whatsoever because having any kind would dehumanize those that are not included so each and every group has to include everyone. I hope you see the fault in that logic.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/21 01:26 PM

Absolutely right. Women have far more social capital then men and far better emotional social support systems then men in general. It's manifesting at the bottom as a startk rise in Deaths of Despair. The gender ratio of these skews heavily towards solder single males. These will continue to rise and so will addiction problems.

Why so courteous of you to set the record straight. I agree except a middle man has to have enough social and financial capital if he wants to get 'anybody he wants'. Your average attractive female will have major trouble landing a 9 or 10 (for LTR). But that shouldn't stop anyone from living their best life and finding happiness in their lives.

You are stawmanning me by saying I claim that looks are EVERYTHING, they are not and beauty and attraction remain at it's core a deeply subjective experience. However Human beings at large have a clear consensus about physical attraction and how attractive and desirable a person is as seen by others. But an unfortunate truth is yes objective physical attraction is heavily correlated with happiness, health, high social functioning, upward social mobility and general contentment with life.

when you look at stats on people who have above average number of sex partners, men outnumber women about almost 2-to-1. That's the sexworker effect. Men have above average sex partners, because a small group of professionals is servicing a large group of men, raising the group with many sexual partners to become larger while the sexworkers take the brunt.

The whole 'carroussel' thing they refer to is just young women being able to hook-up with 9s easily when you are a 5 or 6 (hypergamy). That means they are not picking male 5 or 6-es for hook-ups and leaves the lesser attractive males full of sexual frustration. You can see it clearly in percentage of people who've had sexual experiences before a certain age that a large group of men has no sexual value and is being overlooked. A man is desired for his genetics, but also for what he can provide and what he produces. An artist or celebrity has social and financial capital what makes them attractive. They produce something that's viewed as valuable (art/entertainment) which in turn makes them sought after.

And will by biological design. Men just don't have wombs nor only 700 viable eggcells in their life so they will be insignificant compared to women. An ingrained repression of emotional display and social collectivism means that male problems are very unattractive and from a deep biological instinct 'deserved' those that become victim or lack resource should be more talented, connected, ambitious, succesfull as to seperate the Alpha's from the losers.

That's kind of their whole thing, to have no (romantic) interaction with women. The NVM scrotes that are complained about are either the creeps that hit on everything that moves and hope that by playing the numbers game, it will pay out if they harass enough women, or they are the look/relationship match of the woman and they are deeply frustrated that their SVM isn't higher and that they aren't attracting wealthier more attractive males who are interested in a LTR with them.
