Perfect response really. I mostly agree with OP's first point. You can only scold so many people into agreeing with you, the rest will start to resent and distrust you. Especially when you apply this scolding as an insincere rhetorical tool. We don't live in the age of print and broadcast anymore, folks can spot insincerity very quickly.

You're in the right direction basically.

Thank you! Like why do men just immediately assume every woman lives like a Sex & The City character or an SEC sorority girl? Like most of the female partners I've had never had casual relationships. The existence of hookup culture is way overblown in the US at least.

And that's my cue to leave this sub. I swear I will become a misanthrope staying here.

Easier to form for sure. There is much less of a trust barrier to cross for other men. None of them lasted very long.

Because attraction for women has another layer beyond the physical. If there is no rapport or mismatched values and experience, there is no attraction. Not true for all women and a lot of guys (more experienced/more mature ones) feel this way too. Women are capable of being superficial, just in ways that differ from guys.

News Flash: When someone talks about an issue concerning them, of course they're gonna make it about them. You're just trying to sound smart without saying anything of substance.

Dude and you've gotta realize that it's because people like this don't have a healthy relationship with their sexuality. You can convey to people that you're sexually interested without being a weirdo. You've gotta learn to be on the same wavelength as people, you don't have to be a smooth-talker or whatever if that's not you but you've gotta express yourself in an honest manner, you gotta have a fucking fire in you that others can be drawn to. Learn to express yourself, all of what you've said …

This is one thing that really irks me about shit like this. Do these people not have women in their friend groups? Sisters? Mothers? Like if you're around women at all, you'll realize that they are different from each other just like how guys are. Like I know more than a few women who just aren't into casual sex like that, these people seem to think that every single woman lives like a Sex & The City character.

Someone else said the same thing basically. Some guys think that they have to completely desexualize themselves to be respectful to women. That's why they stop being attractive in any way whatsoever. Like I promise you don't have to be Alain Delon/Sydney Sweeney kind of attractive to get laid.

what makes me nervous about dating, is getting “played” by someone like this Don't be afraid to pry them on really tough issues, specifically issues that don't have a clear-cut academic consensus. If they change their arguments too much from conversation to conversation or even within the same conversation, their beliefs are insincere.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
