You WILL be obliterated. That means you freakin loved her dude. What would it mean if you were totally cool with it? When I found out my ex had moved on I was a wreck. Couldn’t eat. Work out. Work period. And over time, it got less terrible. Hear me, it still sucks. But I’m better today than I was yesterday

I was there. Felt like a terrible everything. It’s so hard to see right now but it CAN get better. You can find yourself in this mess. Focus on the next thing. Wake up. Eat food. Take showers. Do the work. Be present with the kids. Your kids will remember you were there.

I have never understood it honestly. She wants 50/50 and I'll be glad that she'll be in their lives more when she gets a house. They miss her but I'm glad for the time I get with them.

My TX decree says 15 minutes before bed between 7-8 pm. The other parent has to initiate the call but the parent they are with can’t deny/block the call. Sounds alright.

It’s a small group and video based curriculum with people who talk about divorce related topics. The website has lots of different options of when it starts and there were a lot in my area

Really? Nothing I’ve seen so far in the couple offered around me said anything about male or female only

It’s a 13 week small group program where you watch a video about a topic dealing with divorce and then discuss it

Thanks. I think they are leaning that way, but it’s still a waiting game. Really, thanks.

They are definitely my focus. It’s just the off hours that I find myself concerned with work and such. Thanks.

You said a swear 🤭 jk. And you’re right. People are caught up in their own lives and messes to usually care about most other stuff. Church work is weird that way though. Lots of “We’ll need a good example for the kiddos” talk CAN happen. I don’t think it has here, but I worry. And I should really stop worrying. Thanks.

I don’t think it’ll be a Sunday morning sermon point. But it will be a called parent meeting. I’m definitely not going to talk poorly of my STBXW because she’ll always be my kids mom. And she wants to be in their lives.

Thank you. I’m getting ready for when it comes out to show how God has used this situation to bring me closer to Him. It certainly has.

The ones I’ve told have been amazing. I’m really grateful for them. My boss (aka senior pastor) I feel wants me there but is uncomfortable with the idea. Anyways thanks for your kind words. We don’t have to agree on everything to be decent to one another.

Go to therapy/counseling man. You’re lifting weights and working out. That’s awesome. I’m in a similar boat. I’ve got the kids full time. She sees them Friday nights. That’s it. Get some guys you can vent to on the phone or at the gym or whatever. Don’t talk down about mom to your kids. She’ll always be their mom even if she’s not in their life a ton and will come to their own conclusions about what happened. Some of the best advice my counselor gave me was “If you ask yourself a question, answe…

Thanks. So how do I tell a good mediator from a bad one?

If both parties can sit down and write everything up, what’s been your experience with early intervention mediation? We’ve got three kids, a house and my 403(b) to split up but we’ve already talked how we want 99% of it to go.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
