| 2 | I am afraid.I’m not a religious person. But this book has helped me through this divorce. Jesus Speaking: On Overcoming Fear and Developing Trust by Gina Lake. She has other books. It helped me and continues to help me when I have fearful and worrisome thoughts. | /r/Divorce_Men | 09/06/23 02:46 PM |
| 2 | Why do the responsible ones end up paying?I was that woman who worked her ass off. Because my ex decided he didn’t have to. He didn’t really take care of the kids or care for the home. He ends up with half of my retirement. It sucks for the breadwinner, male or female. | /r/Divorce_Men | 08/06/23 01:23 AM |
| 3 | Random divorce paperwork question (pro-se), as I am sure you guys went through this. You can make up numbers. They won’t even really pay attention to all that. Lawyers will go after your paystubs and bank statements. That’s all they care about. I just went through this and my lazy, entitled husband, who never worked, got half of everything. And never paid me back all the money I had to pay for his financial irresponsibility while we were married. Good luck. The law is on the side of lazy, entitled spouses and not the spouse who paid all the bills. | /r/Divorce_Men | 07/06/23 08:31 PM |
| 2 | Why do the responsible ones end up paying?I’m the responsible wife and my ex never wanted to work because his wife has a good salary. He’s rewarded $2.2 million from this divorce. I will never forgive him until the day I die. | /r/Divorce_Men | 07/06/23 02:54 PM |
