So I just finished mediation. My attorney advised me that even though we share equal custody, I am still on the hook for a considerable amount of child support. I lucked out though, and she accepted my offer for child support. Your attorney would know best, but apparently it is calculated based on your gross income. I thought it was based on my net income, but was mistaken.
