There was a tip I was given when I was a much younger guy and though I don't know who to attribute credit for it to, I can absolutely confirm it works. When it's just you and a girl alone, and your conversation is getting intimate, while listening and making eye-contact... imagine that the next thing you say is going to turn her on so much that she's going to make an excuse and go to the bathroom to masturbate while thinking of you. I won't pretend to understand the psychology behind it, though …

Absolutely! That and the boy is clearly older than the little girl, he views it as a joke and based on the fathers body language and facial features, that's how it was intended. But he pours on the fake water-works for the daughter and she eats it up, thinking he's 100% serious and might well die unless she shares her portion. It's sheer pantomime, but that's just how political discourse is nowadays, sadly.

I think we're missing an important data point. I'd love to see this 'experiment' repeated, with the gender of the tester changed. I'd 100% say the son would share, but the daughter is 50/50! I don't think it's as simple as "boys are socialised to be selfish", but rather "boys are socialised to look out for themselves and to help and protect women".

The double standard comes from simple biology. A man who mates with a less promiscuous woman, has a greater chance that any resulting off-spring are his. A woman who mates with a promiscuous man, is selecting a man who has already been pre-selected by her peers for having survival advantages. Thus ensuring that any resulting off-spring will have greater access to resources and mating partners.

By meeting some 30-50 year old women?

You already know what's wrong and only you can fix it. You're not enjoying her company, you require it. In my experience, that's typically genuine love coupled with some insecurity. You need to recognise that she chooses you, just as much as you choose her. Sure it may not last, that's a given in all relationships. And it might break your heart if you break up but you're sure as fuck going to make it happen if you don't handle these emotions. Face your fears.

She didn't shoot you down with 'but we're such good friends, so we'd never kiss!' or some equally clichéd rejection of you as a sexual prospect. Your kiss put you on the board, she may come back next time with 'I was drunk and stupid' but you put yourself out there. I think many reclusive guys start out with a friend.

I think we can give him the benefit of the doubt for reading her reaction after mentioning the dream. Plus it was kind of smooth. A kiss shouldn't ruin any sort of grown-up friendship.

I feel the key is, if you are having fun, then others want to get to know you to learn your secret. I still think there is overlap between your points and the generic advice.

Well, it seems pretty laughable to me, because it seems to me that if to label behaviour as slutty is sexist; then labelling behaviour as anti-slutty couldn't possibly be...

Get back on OK cupid, or otherwise fill your time with hobbies. It becomes easier, especially when it shows results.

I came into this expecting to be another hater... But the confidently mute part blew me away. So many guys miss this vital step to game. Well done sir!

Don't be afraid of silence either. Cold reading is great, but she should be as invested in the encounter as you.

My general rule is 3 positive encounters and I'll add them on social media. Keep in mind the responsibility is on you to ensure that casual greeting turns into a conversation of some description. Also this is in situations where you are automatically going to get 3 encounters. In a chance encounter or if you really like her; then just pull the trigger.

Maturity transcends your age. Acting older as a young man is desirable; but acting younger is desirable in older men.

If it amused you, it worked!

She wanted you to escalate, but she's definitely into you. Traditionally I'd say that may have changed since you didnt "man up", but with her inexperience and the circumstantial evidence that she's had a crush on you; I'd say it's nigh impossible to fuck up. Netflix and chill, kino and build comfort and she will be humping your leg before long. ;)

1) Realise these are all just excuses to keep you from 'losing'. 2) Realise you don't need our validation to ask her out. 3) Ask her out. 4) If it's fun, enjoy it; if it isn't, you'll both get over it. ;)

Is it actually important to you that she read and enjoy all of your communications? Are you communicating too much or are you not on the same wavelength, in terms of humour and interests? If you want to talk about it, bring it up semi-casually and make a joke about it. If you're smart, take the hint that she is interested, just not in that aspect. Talking, sharing and just being; is better without a phone/computer screen between you.

I've always thought the Internet was one big marketplace? If you're not the customer, then you might be the product etc. Or am I just a cynic?

If he didn't care enough to go in there and buttfuck her then why should we care?

Personally I felt really embarassed watching that, not my definition of game by any stretch, but he got the number so can't fault the technique. I do feel like he might have gotten ahead because of the language barrier but who am I to judge.

Call her on it. Why are you waiting for her permission to speak anyways?

I loved your insights about talking with the guy about cars. It's definitely a problem I have when confronted with a topic I have no interest in. I tend to just shut down, get bored and hope the person moves on. I like your "That's interesting, and why/how are you so interested in <topic>". I'd also like to hear more about your kino escalation as it's a topic I'm still struggling with. I feel I have pretty much everything else in hand, but my family has never been a physical one and I am paying …
