So basically life just happens to women? Even today with access to statistics about how marriage doesnt benefit, higher education, about a centuries worth of feminist literature all over social media from birth if you’re gen z and younger. They arent able to think for themselves and decide not to get married if it isnt beneficial?

“women will say things like "what did this voluptuous queen see in that plain overweight man" and it would be literally just two fat people dating.” THIS. Bro the amount of times ive seen a woman shit talk a man who is her exact looks match is insane. But it has a lot to do with people not being brutally honest with women about their looks the way they are with men. Women can go their whole lives not having an accurate grasp on their looks, men usually know where we fall on the attraction scale …

Ah okay, thank you. Any tips on how to do this?

Is there a better way than cold approaching?

Yeah, at the end of the day it’s just all opinions from random people on the internet, no need to feel alien. You just have more standards than most.

I mean of course it’s exceptions to every rule. It’s not a universal truth, just a general one. But in my experience vibe, voice, confidence, aura aren’t disqualifiers for men the way they are for women. But definitely if a woman has all those it makes her infinitely more attractive to us.

Bro, I’ve literally given you all the notes and suggestions I can from not knowing anything about you or your situation. I don’t know what more you want. Edit: You can do everything right and it still won’t work out sometimes. That’s just life. Other times it will. Be outwardly calm, maintain eye contact, smile, speak with confidence. Then fine tune it to fit your specific needs.

No, it was just one resource. I watched a lot of comedies to learn about jokes/comedic timing, i watched people around me in my personal life who were good at conversation and took notes, I had older mentors, and just learned mostly from trial and error. Seeing what worked and what didn’t.

Also great advice.

I actually didn’t have good social skills growing up. I was a morbidly obese kid who was made fun of relentlessly and didn’t have a lot of friends. And my home life was less than desirable. But I just decided one day that all the things I didn’t like I would change. I learned all the stuff I’m suggesting to you. It’s not a catch all because I don’t know you or what your specific situation is. But doesn’t hurt to try.

Wow! Good on you for making 1000 approaches, I’m nowhere near that. Not really sure why you haven’t been successful but I hope these suggestions help, bro.

Go out and talk to people/women you wanna meet. If you see someone doing something cool that catches your eye go up and make conversation. If you have hobbies then find groups in your city on MeetUp that hosts those specific things. Go and introduce yourself to the people there. It’s a channel on youtube called Charisma On Command that gives some really good advice about conversation starters, how to be less awkward, etc. you should check them out. But ultimately you conquer by doing, taking act…

Mostly by doing, putting yourself in uncomfortable situations and seeing it through. Watch some videos on social cues, charisma, how to make jokes, etc, but for the most part I got better by simply facing it head on. And it sucked in the beginning. It was scary and almost paralyzing. But once you get past that stage you’ll start to see progress.

Yeah, I agree. In my experience with women less is more, you don’t have to talk a lot. Being quiet is much better than being a guy who has a motor mouth out of nervousness.

Nah, I never said men only care about looks, I was speaking about attraction. Just initial attraction. And what attracts us men on a carnal level. Not relationships, marriages, etc. Just base line attraction. I’m not saying attraction has to be on the table for men to sleep with a woman either.

From my experience, yeah. And from what women tell me, yeah. At least initially. Your experience might be different.

I never said looks don’t matter, I said they aren’t the ONLY thing that matters for women. Tall handsome guys still get rejected. I’ve seen it plenty of times. Edit: Also shy and quiet aren’t usually inhibitors. Usually they’re pluses with women because they add some mystery and reserve. As long as you aren’t awkward or afraid. I’m shy and quiet but I also know how to use it to my strength.

Oh yeah, long term relationships def need a bit more nuance, I’m just talking about for initial attraction/hook ups.

Attraction for women and attraction for us are two totally different things. With us it mostly starts and stops at how does her face and body look. She could have a squeaky voice, be shy, be anxious, but if she looks good to us we’ll deal with it. With women attraction is a myriad of things. Vibe, voice, charm, aura, confidence, charisma, social standing, yes face and body are definitely important to them as well, but it’s so much more that goes into it. And all of those boxes have to be checked…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
