I had an epiphany when I realized I had no female friends and only a few male friends. The male friends weren't actually friends and there was a reason I didn't have any female friends lol, I was a horrible friend. The way to make friends is slowly sadly, and to keep appearing in the same place repeatedly where eventually you can start recognizing people and from that group you can start making friends. Gym classes are another great way to do this. Maybe you have some other friends from the past…

Buy a bit at a time and try it on. You really don't need that much skill. Basics are a foundation and a foundation brush, you can get tone-matched at sephora and then keep ordering that one. Their HD foundation is my go to. Crease brush for eyeshadow (putting a darker color in your crease adds depth) as well as a regular brush. Under eye concealer does wonders. Mt favorite is nars radiant creamy concealer it's expensive but it goes a long way and really brightens up your eyes. Once you learn how…

I tend to think men are natural pursuers too. For me I am just thinking like let's say you are a man working through things and a woman who you are so-so about pursues you and makes things convenient for you, why would you decline? Most men would not decline free sex. If a woman is not sure about a man she likely won't go for it rather than +1 her n count. Or she will try to stick him in the friend zone.

Congratulations on freeing yourself from a narcissist. Really anything is uphill from that, including the wall, but you have a while for that. I think it's important to heal but do not isolate yourself, participate in the world, take fitness classes, go to the gym, talk to people who make you feel good without having anything romantic in mind. Just absolutely never go back to the narcissist, they don't change and just want to drain your life energy. They have a knack for coming around when you a…

I think you are taking this more literally than I mean it. A lot of men are not in the right place in their lives for a relationship. But will also not turn down free female attention. I.e if you invite your ex (or most men really) to sleep over he will likely not turn down even if he has no desire for a relationship. If you talk, go on dates, let him express his interest, this will weed out men just looking for sex as they will go for a speedier option. Even if a guy never chases women you do n…

At that age let them chase you. Whenever you chase men, at that age especially, few will outright reject you because why would they? It's free validation and maybe sex. I agree that dating apps can be great but it's a lot of bs too. There is no accountability on dating apps, that makes some men act terrible, it's best not to have to deal with that, especially tinder. If you allow men to chase you and refuse to lower your standards (a relationship) then you will filter out the most obvious wave o…

It's revenge porn. They pay women to come in so that they can "own them". They select for women who love money and don't mind slightly debasing themselves for it. They all fit a look. They usually want to get clout on social media for their appearance as well.

Well I am dating one of these men and I get it, I disagree but I get it. You will always have competition anxiety unless you miraculously figure out how not to care because other women will be interested in him. Even if he claims you publicly its going to be hard for that to go away completely. Also he probably had exes before you that will try to get him back, especially if you are around 30 and it's that time. Oddly enough the more attractive guys I dated had the best attitude since they were …

My go to for hiking is wearing a fitted baseball cap with a cute color, or a winter hat with a cute color if it's cold. Don't bother wearing nice shoes because they might get muddy.

Subnautica is a really good game!! It's very atmospheric and relaxing. I only got 40 hours into it before they removed it from Xbox game pass but I'm still considering buying it. If you like dreamy landscapes and meditative graphics I'd suggest the ori and the blind forest series, you'll get a feel for it when you watch the trailer. It also sounds like Zelda games might be up your alley? Or stray that just game out, it's an atmospheric cyberpunk game where you play as a cat. There is also this n…

A question I have for you is how do you find the energy to be feminine? I have a job that is typically masculine (software developer) and the issue I have is that I have to make so many decisions and concentrate pretty hard at my job to the point that when I am done I have no energy left over to really cook, clean, I just want to relax. I have less energy to "absorb" as the feminine sometimes does. I think if I start exercising more maybe the added dopamine will boost that? Anyways I'll see.

You do have to put yourself out there. There are many places where men will no longer go up to women. Online dating can be great, besides that you can start posting on social media and see if anybody bites if you are on those, yes it sucks, but you often know people on those networks more at least. There are other activities people do to meet others. That being said I was a late bloomer and that was because of issues that I was working through with my therapist, if you find yourself scared of pu…

At 18 really doing anything at all puts you above the rest. There are small things that help you look put together such as always having your nails painted and wearing earrings for example, and having a nice purse instead of lugging around a backpack.

I'm in the STEM field and I feel you. I currently work in it and although it's great on paper, after a full day of work I have no energy to build a home. That energy that makes home a soft place to land is spent when I also need to recharge. Until I am married I don't see why I should sacrifice a disproportionate amount of time for my boyfriend to advance his career with nothing to show for essentially, but what you are living is the dream. That being said if you are feeling unfulfilled or disre…

He is just an excellent leader. Brave, has integrity, is attractive. He starts off as a ranger but his attributes shine through. You should watch the movies, they are fantastic.

I mean women simp for the type of masculine temperament Aragorn has. Whereas the modern model of masculinity is raising up gonzo clowns. The world just has to heal, there's a lot of pain felt by women who have been fucked over and lied to, men who are ignored, the narcissists that just add fuel to the fire. That's all reflected in our media, opinions, and added to the thought policing just creates a series of conflicting narratives that overwhelms any sane human.

Not directly but a lot of attractiveness is money. Hair, makeup, clothes, gym membership, not being haggard through tough life circumstances, money for hobbies and skills that can enhance your RMV. Not to mention that a high salary will put you around other high earning individuals and high earning men. I don't know about you but lots of men who earn a lot love to travel and want someone who can go 50/50 with them on the expenses because they want a companion but not the entire bill.

This is a great argument to allowing men to chase you. I used to chase men and it always ended badly. My current bf chased me and is much more attractive than the other ones luckily. I think it's also that men will rarely turn down attention from a woman, if she is throwing herself at him, he might as well sleep with her even if he isn't in a place for a relationship and it has nothing to do with SMV. I think a lot of young guys just want to play the field too. But I agree, I think even until yo…

You sound really smart, awesome! As someone who has a wfh cs job I can give you some advice. Stay away from men (or people) who are negative about your career ambitions. A lot of men are often insecure about women who have better jobs or prospects than them. Find an environment that fosters your growth and cheers you on. Studying computer science is something that drains your energy and can make you mentally ill if you don't strike a good work/life balance. Working alone in front of a computer t…

Being healthy and working out also does wonders mentally. I'm dating someone attractive and if I don't exercise for a while insecurity cripples me, makes me moody etc. After one workout session those problems solve themselves. I am a bit overweight and I've faced similar problems. It's tough because our worth and self-love should not depend on the number on the scale, but it is an act of self-love to take care of yourself. It's possible to do so in a way that is healthy. There are so many differ…

This takes me back. I felt the same. There is just a prevailing narrative on reddit especially that is not reflected in the real world. This website is great in many ways but it skews towards unhappy men dramatizing things. There are things that are general trends, like men dating younger, as a general trend men do date younger, and if they are hurt they especially want to prance into public with a gorgeous 22 year old on their arm. Another trend is that it is easier to meet people when you are …

First of all you've only known him for two months. You can't know his character for that time, for all you know he is telling you what you want to hear to sleep with you. Or he is love bombing you. Or it's all well-intentioned but you have to determine this before uprooting your life. You're also exchanging your youth and time for this allowance. If you break up you will have nothing to show for it and he will have had the additional time you spent homemaking to advance his career and hobbies. I…

Some guys are like this and with the person who behaved this way, I struggled with this as well, but I eventually stopped responding and they got the hint and stopped talking to me. I blocked them off of things as well. I really recommend it. The peace of mind is worth it.

Yeah that was when I entered the relationship. It is weird, so my bf does have a social media presence and he has dated other people that do too, and even if I didn't care about social media before and he was the one who pursued me, I did start feeling pressured to "keep up", which although in some objective sense does make me look better to some outside observer maybe, it makes me miserable in the same exact amount, so you are probably right.

Maybe. It's been the bane of my existence. I was happily living my life and now i feel like I have to compete and churn out great content that is usually edited to high hell, took about 1 hour to both create and generate, and ruins the experience of what I was actually doing in the stupid picture because instead of enjoying the moment I was thinking "fuck I need to turn this into a perfect photograph so that I look better than the other bitches throwing themselves at my bf" and I always end up m…

Ugh this pisses me off. It seems like he is looking for validation. Validation is flattering but there are appropriate and inappropriate kinds of it. He should have just stopped responding instead of blaming it on you. I suggest being a little distant and seeing if that corrects his behavior. But also wtf. I agree with the post below, he is kinda employing dread so you should dread him back, but it's not even a mind game, you just should put him off center in your world while you pour time and e…

In poor countries, children are security. You have 8 kids, 2 die, you will still have enough to work and take care of you. In richer countries children are liabilities. They cost 250k on average and if you want them to be successful, you have to invest in them. It gives them better odds. People here also don't want their entire life to evolve around children thus they have less and delegate tasks to others which costs money again. It's two different ways of raising children. If you raise childre…
