Frame is hard to regain, sometimes impossible to regain. Going by your description I'm going to go with it being gone. So what you do is this - focus on your frame going forward. There's nothing you can do about the past, it's done. You are going to have to learn to live with the cringe. Simply, no more cringe going forward. Stand up straight, talk clearly, and look people in the eye when you talk to them. Consider your self respect and dignity when you engage with people who may try to test it.

tbh, I'm not gay but I've been to prison. You'd be shocked at what Tyrone and Co. will do to a white boy for no other reason than the fact that they can and can get away with it. I'm more concerned with him having to deal with his mother's nasty bullshit. The quicker he gets his grades up and pulls more of his weight, the less his mother will have a reason to dig into him. Good advice. Engaging her would be a mistake. I leverage her volatility by paying half the rent and 100% of the other bills while I'm staying here. This has kept her from shit testing me and maintaining\keeping her from attacking my frame. But...it's only a matter of time. But I'm far more prepared for it than I was before.

It's been like this for a long time. You can thank women's lib and the legal system for incentivizing single motherhood. Oh, and MSM too.
