Sorry I should have phrased it more clearly. I do not doubt it is ASPD, but ASPD is an umbrella term that covers many conditions. I doubt they were a sociopathic person, and many argue that sociopathy and psychopathy do not belong under the ASPD umbrella because they are much different than most other conditions under it. That is correct. Body dysmorphia is also not exclusive to transgender people, there are a few other ways it can manifest. That is not to say all people that have transitional surgery automatically have body dysmorphia though, some just do it because it makes them happy, similar to people that get plastic surgery. Additionally I should note that not all transgender people experience gender dysphoria either, as not all of them experience any distress over it.

I think all of these problems have equivalency in men as well though. The number of times I have seen men chase women that were horrible human beings just because they were highly attractive is astounding. I do not see men as any more willing to accept it as women. I think we can just sum it all up as humans are much more guided by our subconscious instincts than we are aware and we are not as rational as we think we are.

I am not sure if I see enough evidence for this. I used to be chronically underweight (not related to mental illness), now I am not, plenty of obese people lose weight and do not gain it back, some of them that I personally know. One just has to change their lifestyle rather than follow fad diets and lose weight fast programs.
