I've gotten called a pick me a lot Or I've gotten told "I hope you learn to love yourself one day" Whatever lol

There was a post on TIA [tumblr in action], now the poster wasn't sure if it was satire or not but someone made a tweet saying that a girl in her 20s couldn't properly consent to a relationship with a man in his 30s (especially 40s) and that's basically a pedophilic relationship If she (the OP) was being serious.....yikes

Man I'm really sorry. That's uncalled for. Honestly I'd be embarrassed too.

What do you mean by awful, exactly? Awful as in terrible or awful as in they have a sucky argument, Two things come to mind. That we live in a rape culture. Really, if we did why would there he awareness for rape, defense classes/tips on how to defend yourself, etc. If we were really living like that wouldn't all the evil white men want us to be defenseless? And I don't think there would he any punishment for it either Dress codes are sexist. I'm so tired of hearing it. Dress codes are for a rea…

I've wondered the same thing and have have come to the conclusion I wont ever get an answer. My friend/aquaintence said that it's completely fair because it takes two to have sex. Interesting I asked her then why shouldn't men have a say when it comes to abortion if it takes two. She got really defensive and derailed the conversation to how she cant believe that I (being a girl myself) wouldn't support a womans right to choose and all.

Someone was basically saying women arent psychologically abusive....wow I guess my years of going to see a counselor because of my abusive mother were all for nothing! Seriously though, I have a friend who was being abused by a girlfriend (I witnessed it happening once) and it was so heartbreaking. She was always threatening to break up with him, he told me, whenever got angry and put this idea in his head that he'd be nothing without her

As a girl I can't agree with it. If your period is so bad that you can't function then I would suggest seeing a doctor because there might be something else going on. Besides how fair would that be? What do men get to take off for?

Personally I'm pro life and while I would prefer it to be banned that will most likely not happen so I'm okay with the laws in place by some states. I do believe IF someone is getting a abortion guys deserve to have a say because it's not just a womans issue because it takes two. I believe it's also legal for a girl to just get an abortion without consulting the father and that can cause problems, like if she gets one for revenge or something.

Then maybe dont slap him then? sigh I'll never understand why girls think they can act violent towards a guy and expect nothing in return.

While you shouldn't have to do anything, if I were in your shoes I would probably stop, maybe fiddle with my phone so it would allow her to get more ahead. Still, it's sad that you have to worry about that. Feminism is making girls paranoid

I remember seeing a video on Facebook about this. It was from a talk show and the host was Bethenny Frankel and someone from the audience described how she was on a date and the bill was $20 and she "tested" him by reaching for her wallet and was asking if he wanted to split it or not and he agreed, 10 each. And people were making noise and saying what a bad move it was. I don't think it was. I don't think it's fair one person pays for the whole thing, despite if it's just 20 or not

I cannot stand it when people use "mental health" as a cop out. I'm not trying to invalidate those that really do struggle, but I'm talking your average self Diagnosis from tumblr newsfeed person. Seriously though she doesn't sound like a real friend if she's talking like that to you

Just like saying "female" is now offensive and dehumanizing apparently It's ridiculous
/r/MensRights17/09/19 11:53 PM

I've been told that numerous times, in addition to being called a "pick me chicken" (I think it's related? Idk lol). And it's always when I defend men and/or call out girls for their behavior. Actually that happened recently where my friend(female) was being sexist and her friend jumped in and tried to scold me because we're girls and women should support women (I have my own feelings about that) and I told her that it doesn't mean you can go around spewing off nonsense and expect no response. I shouldn't be surprised, considering some of the stuff I've read but yet here I am. How could someone possibly think like this? People put their lives on the line and they do it because they want to, yet their sacrifices mean absolutely nothing to some people and that floors me. Someone I know is in the army right now and it's scary. I'm proud of them but you have that "what if" hanging over your head and it's awful sometimes
/r/MensRights17/09/19 02:08 AM

But doesn't this conflict with their thinking of how a woman doesn't need a man to provide for her because she's strong and independent
/r/MensRights16/09/19 03:56 PM

Wow that's so sad. I'm sorry you had to go through that. And I relate to you about not being a violent or mean person so I understand about not wanting to resort to it but sometimes you have to protect yourself. I hope you can heal from it eventually. Personally I dealt with an emotionally/verbally abusive mother and found therapy to be very helpful. Maybe that's something you can do if you feel comfortable enough. If you decide to, I hope you find a good one. I went through two because one of t…

I know what you mean. I feel like part of that is Disney is kind of geared toward girls more than boys, I mean of course both watch it but that's what I get from it (could be wrong, though). But I definitely agree with the user that was saying they have issue with how the characters are written. They're trying to appeal to people and it's not working. I don't need the super amazing mary sue ish female lead and the dumb, isn't competent on his own supporting male in every movie (or TV show for th…

Imagine medical schools doing that to increase the amount of female doctors... Stuff like this definitely makes me think that they're only doing that so nobody can accuse them of being misogynistic or something
/r/MensRights10/09/19 11:16 PM

I was just about to say that. I see stuff like this is applauded because it's "making a way for women everywhere" and I just can't help but wonder....how lol

I could see that lol
/r/MensRights10/09/19 10:58 PM

This is ridiculous. We're already forced to deal with political stuff all over the media, including on TV and now we have to deal with it with board games as well? I can't see your average family eagerly buying it

Wasn't there one male feminist that committed suicide after being accused of rape I think it was? I thought there was something along the lines of that shared on here.
/r/MensRights09/09/19 02:35 PM

So that would mean by that logic any girl that's not disabled has privilege too
/r/MensRights09/09/19 02:26 PM

I dont understand their obsession with periods... and that we should celebrate them because they're so wonderful and blah blah. I hate mine lol I hate the cramps and everything I will not celebrate that But as for your question, yeah that's definitely sexist. And I don't see why they care if a guy is grossed out by it? It's blood. And some are squeamish by it. I really wish they'd care about something worth caring about

I left tumblr after seeing people celebrate the death of a terminally ill cancer patient because he was pro life Mind you, he was also a teenager I was disgusted

Funny enough I was YouTube and there was a video titled something along the lines of: is a man giving up his seat for a woman sexist?
/r/FeminismStopsWhen07/09/19 08:59 PM

Exactly. I can't stand it when girls act like guys aren't supposed it when they dress skimpy (and yet they want them to notice). I mean if you have that mentality then you shouldn't be dressing that way

I agree. I've had a male and female therapist and I just stopped going to the female after she called my dad misogynistic
/r/MensRights07/09/19 12:35 AM
6

I like your username lol My aunt and two cousins (both female) are feminists and they'd once asked me to go to the women's March with them. I declined, for obvious reasons and I get a tad antsy in a huge crowd like that. I thought at least they'd understand for the not wanting to be in a huge crowd reason. Nope. I was lectured (more like screamed at tbh) because by not going that's my white privilege speaking
/r/MensRights06/09/19 11:37 PM

Never mind that there are numerous examples to prove that they're wrong, nope they're right end of story
/r/MensRights06/09/19 08:39 PM

Wow that's crazy. Yeah I dont really buy into the whole toxic masculinity garbage. People are negative (I don't use toxic because it's so overused) whether they're male or female. And beliving in toxic masculinity just makes people think men are inherently bad. I haven't been on Cosmopolitan but I definitely agree about buzzfeed. And Ive noticed Huffpost is kinda feminist-y too. Ha, on buzzfeed there was a 'How sexist are you' quiz. I took it for my own amusement. The answers to select from were…

So true. I know feminists in real life and when we try to have discussions, I try to give facts and all it "proves" is that I'm suffering from internalized misogyny
/r/MensRights06/09/19 08:10 PM
4

Well never mind it didn't get cut off lol
/r/MensRights06/09/19 06:31 PM

This is about as ridiculous as the feminists that put their period blood on themselves to prove that we shouldn't be ashamed of our periods or whatever it was
/r/MensRights05/09/19 11:40 PM
4

I kind of have to wonder if she really is asked out frequently at work or if she just said that to justify her actions. Either way that was wrong of her
/r/MensRights05/09/19 11:36 PM
6

Is that even allowed? I mean it kind of sounds like discrimination to me
/r/MensRights05/09/19 11:29 PM
3

Not to be rude or anything but I'm surprised it wasn sooner because they put a lot of emphasis on "toxic" men and dislike men in general yet they "stan" gay men
/r/MensRights05/09/19 11:28 PM
1

Here's the thing though, and this goes for men and women, when has just telling them not to rape actually worked? And this goes for any other crimes for that matter. You can tell someone how wrong it is but if they want to they'll find a way. And yeah, I suppose men receiving harsher sentences and being guilty until proven innocent is apart of the coddling as well
/r/MensRights03/09/19 12:01 AM
2

I dont understand the big deal. If it's still up just put it down? I live with my dad and brother and it's never bothered me if it was still left up
/r/MensRights01/09/19 06:23 PM
2

Funny how when it's a girl being accused the whole 'innocent until proven guilty' is thrown around but you rarely hear that when the accused is a guy
/r/MensRights01/09/19 06:21 PM
9

And penis shaming It's full of hypocrisy. Either you care all the way or you don't at all
/r/MensRights01/09/19 06:18 PM
3

The funny thing is men have reasonably distanced themselves in the workplace and yet feminists are saying it's them being toxic or whatever. Can they not see how destructive this is
/r/MensRights30/08/19 07:45 PM
1

Okay and with that logic that's why girls play as well
/r/MensRights30/08/19 07:40 PM
7

When I was in high school I saw girls in class discreetly taking pictures of the boys. What's crazier is that my teacher caught one girl once and instead of doing something she was laughing kind of and told her to put her phone away. Kinda lost some respect for her (the teacher) after that
/r/MensRights30/08/19 07:38 PM
4

Dude I looked at the comments on her Instagram page and maaaan theyt crazy. Some are calling her out on this and people are saying stuff like "you can't silence a queen!" (Seriously what is it with girls calling every female celebrity a queen?)
/r/MensRights29/08/19 08:39 PM
3

Or maybe they don't want to have someone claim they're trying to rape them or something? I get it though. If I was a guy I'd be scared too. I mean anything you do could be taken wrong. Like the one guy who helped a woman on the side of the road and was put in jail or something (I can't remember specifics).
/r/MensRights29/08/19 06:14 PM
9

Whoever made that decision needs to be fired or something
/r/MensRights29/08/19 06:05 PM
2

I would hope it eventually ceases because really, has it done much good? I mean for a guy literally anything you do, even as a nice gesture could be taken wrong and bam, you're locked up for attempted rape. It's made a way for false accusations to happen more so now and like someone else mentioned, damaged trust between men and women.
/r/MensRights29/08/19 06:03 PM

I'm not sure what "beta" is supposed to mean but yeah. Unfortunately he doesn't really see the issues guys are facing, sigh

The thing is if they're both drunk it's not rape or anything unless one is unconscious or is saying no and being ignored. So many times I hear just being drunk is a call for rape and no. It's not

When it mentioned child birthing I was reminded of something I'd read online where it said birthing was more painful than a guy getting kicked in between his legs. I dunno how you can say which is more painful? I mean if you're a girl saying that, you aren't a man, you won't ever feel it and know what it's like. Similarly I've seen 'funny' videos of men feeling labor pain from a simulator and the girls think it's so funny. Maybe I just took it wrong but it's really not funny? I think it's dumb, …
/r/MensRights28/08/19 08:59 PM

Heaven forbid a guy tries to help someone change their negative mentality.... and hating on him doesn't make any sense to me. They say they want less "toxic masculinity" and stuff and when guys try to do good things they still get hated.
/r/MensRights28/08/19 08:43 PM

Sadly I know girls from high school that are like that
/r/MensRights28/08/19 08:40 PM

I've heard that (why we shouldn't be concerned) because it's apparently rare and it prevents victims from coming forward 🤦‍♂️ On another note, wow I didn't realize that was today. It's crazy to think it's been 64 years

/r/MensRights28/08/19 12:11 AM

I'd assume so. That's what happened in the feminist sub when I went for a conversation since the feminists I know IRL aren't really open for conversation and yeah, for accused of trolling and being a man (you'd think they could tell by the username I'm not...) and I got banned.

/r/MensRights22/08/19 10:03 PM

Heh yeah I got banned too for "trolling" when I was trying to have a discussion and they assumed I was obviously trolling because I didn't agree. It's ridiculous how immature they can be and refuse to listen to anything but their own views In relation to your post, you'd think they be happy it's gone down. They're outraged at violence against women yet wont listen when you prove stuff like the 1 in 5 thing is wrong
/r/MensRights21/08/19 06:31 PM

I've tried to use circumcision in the abortion debate, didn't work but I tried. I tried to say that if men (well more accurately stated pro life men) aren't supposed to have a say because they arent female then females can't have a say in this because they arent men "That's different" is the response I was given 😑
/r/MensRights21/08/19 06:27 PM
4

Heh yeah, I've experienced that. Once on the unpopular opinion sub (I think, it's been a while) I was sharing my story of how my female babysitter touched me innapropriately as a child because someone, a feminist presumably, said how babysitting is a woman only job because boys can't control themselves. And after commenting someone said something along the lines of: lol you're obviously a man

Oh okay
/r/MensRights19/08/19 12:05 AM

I'm not the most knowledgable on legal advice but I'm going to suggest this: Can you have your oldest daughter help you by perhaps as a witness? She could attest to what's been happening. Usually I'd say at her age keep her out of it but you said she's afraid of your wife like you are so that's not really an option. I hope that helps and I'm wishing the best for you and your daughters!❤

If I was one to use "toxic" (but I dont because it's so overused) I would say she is indeed toxic. Typically all the feminist 'icons' are some of the worst kinds of people. And sexual power? Funny how women scream about guys that objectify them or whatever but feminism is steadily becoming more and more about being naked and sexual Can we say hypocritical
/r/MensRights16/08/19 12:26 AM

This is stuff I've heard. It's kinda like for guys who are afraid of being falsely accused and avoid spending alone time with women (there was something around on here and the feminist page about workers who were doing that with female co workers). Feminists say that if guys are so afraid they should keep to themselves it's not that hard. So I'd imagine they think along the lines of if you're not a toxic male then there's no reason to avoid a relationship. Only toxic males would do that because …

Soooo ironic they're saying he should've said it earlier if it truly happened instead of waiting But if it's a woman that's raped or something we're supposed to automatically believe them
/r/MensRights16/08/19 12:08 AM
3

It's stupid Guys need their spaces just like girls If they (the girls) hate GS so much because they don't do anything then why didn't they try and implement changes in their own scouts than trying to force their way into boy scouts
/r/MensRights16/08/19 12:05 AM
14

That was disgusting but satisfying to see the judge go off on her like that
/r/MensRights15/08/19 11:58 PM
1

Because, let me guess, feminism is about helping men too🤨
/r/MensRights14/08/19 04:23 PM

I'm speechless
/r/MensRights14/08/19 04:21 PM

I've seen places with a women's and a gender neutral bathroom and I wondered how that was even allowed
/r/MensRights14/08/19 04:20 PM

Wow it's almost like they're trying to pin the blame on the boy with that headline
/r/MensRights10/08/19 07:44 PM
2

Personally I've lost a couple friendships because I "didn't love my fellow women enough" but it can definitely be done, you just have to find the right people and not the loud mouth extremists. The main question you have to ask yourself is, is she mature enough? Because I feel like a lot of it boils down to maturity. If someone is going to stop being friends with someone over different views then that person hasn't grown up yet
/r/MensRights10/08/19 07:42 PM
1

Right? It's like walking through the streets half or fully naked to protest rape....that makes absolutely no sense at all. Or the fact that they constantly say women are objectified when they do it to themselves most of the time by wearing skimpy stuff to be "proud" of their body and show it off. I mean if you wanna do that fine but don't do it and then cry that you're getting comments or something. You're partly to blame. I also find it ironic that feminism is supposed to be telling girls that …

I dealt with a hardcore feminist in one of my classes too (college). Every week we discussed controversial topics and you could not have a different opinion than her or you were literally the worst person alive. She eventually got kicked out a week before finals

Yet feminism is supposedly about helping men as well
/r/MensRights06/08/19 01:13 AM

Same. And have scolded for beliving otherwise. I've also been told, on the flip side, if a woman were to do it she wouldn't do it without a good reason 🤨

I hate this whole debate and the fact that girls are allowed into boy scouts period. I did GS upon the persistence of my mother and my brother did boy scouts. I hated it because I thought it was boring. Mostly we did crafts and sold cookies (which I also hated because I was a super shy kid). I feel like GS needs to change if girls want to do the same things the boys are doing. I mean if they managed to get this far with being able to join boy scouts then surely they'd be able to convince the peo…

I would hope he would take action against her but he would probably cause an uproar 🙄
/r/MensRights03/08/19 03:25 AM

Huffpost and buzzfeed are the worst when it comes to pushing the feminism/sexism
/r/MensRights03/08/19 03:20 AM

Yeah! That'd be great, thank you🙂
/r/MensRights02/08/19 01:54 PM

Never seen the show but seriously 😑 If the opposite was said oh the uproar there would have been.... On another note, I'm so tired of hearing that everything is toxic. It's so overused
/r/MensRights01/08/19 11:52 PM

And most of the rational people who couldn't believe it was being rationalized were downvoted. Of course

I saw this and couldn't believe it was actually real

I went ahead and read what you wrote and wow....I am so sorry that happened to you. I definitely believe you and, if it's okay, I'll keep you in my prayers. It's definitely admirable of you to say all of that to complete strangers. I hope that you eventually heal from this. Stuff like that is part of the reason I've became involved with mens rights. God bless you as well!

In other comment seconds when I looked it up I was astounded at how many people were supporting this simply because he's a priest Would they say that if this was at a pro LGBT/womens/whatever rally and that person was shoved? Um no And a few said she shouldn't have done it because it makes him seem like a victim....well he is he could have died from brain damage from the fall

/r/AntiFeminists19/07/19 12:32 AM

Instead of creating something entirely unnecessary she could have done something to actually help people like in foreign countries and all. I've been on mission trips and seen some deplorable conditions and things like this make me shake my head because really

Overreaction at its best
/r/MensRights18/07/19 11:55 PM

I understand what it's "supposed" to describe but it's garbage. In that case, we could go down the road of toxic femininity but the point is neither exist. It's just another term to get people riled up and a chance to be sexist
/r/MensRights18/07/19 03:03 AM
1

She's uninformed and, I'm imagining, is following the popular opinion of feminism. And quite honestly the same could be said for feminism, it's pretty much a hate movement telling unhappy and insecure girls their problems are caused by men soooo
/r/MensRights18/07/19 01:14 AM
1

Doesnt exist There are negative (because toxic is so overused and lost its meaning) men just like there are negative girls. There are negative people in the world period and we dont need some new term as an excuse to be sexist to men
/r/MensRights18/07/19 01:10 AM
1

I wish she would get fed up with real issues than how a man is sitting. I have to "manspread" because of issues with my legs so it's not just men like they love to blame it on Goodness gracious what a huge joke
/r/MensRights18/07/19 01:05 AM

Doesnt matter that there are girls in other countries treated as property, let's control how a man sits!! Totally a higher priority
/r/MensRights18/07/19 12:58 AM

/r/MensRights15/07/19 02:17 AM

It's unfortunate that this happens. One of my best friends wanted to be an elementary school teacher and for a while his family and other friends were trying to discourage him because it would be "weird" and he'd make people "uncomfortable". Luckily he decided to go along with it and now hes in school for it. I'm so glad he didnt listen, hes so good with kids!
/r/MensRights02/07/19 03:53 PM
5

Yeah I've tried to discuss feminism with my feminist friends and it always leads to "you don't understand true feminism." Actually I do that's why I'm not one 😑 but yeah I find it pretty sad how it's basically a hate movement toward men
/r/AntiFeminists01/07/19 11:35 PM

That anti feminists dont exist. We're all feminists That anyone who isnt one is suffering from internalized misogyny
/r/AntiFeminists01/07/19 09:02 PM

And not just compliments but little surprises too. I surprised my boyfriend with flowers randomly recently and he was so happy 😊

And there are the clapping emojis....but at least it wasn't said repetitively
/r/MensRights20/06/19 08:31 PM

Oh they definitely deserve to go to jail. Yeah I've seen something similar that said that a female would never lie about rape unless she had a good reason What reason could possibly justify for trying to ruin someone's life???
/r/MensRights19/06/19 05:33 PM

I really hope those that post on that sub are just trolling....but then again you never know nowadays
/r/AntiFeminists19/06/19 05:21 PM

I cant believe people were actually defending the girl and saying 5 years "isnt that much". Oh but if it were a 13 yr old girl people would be furious
/r/MensRights18/06/19 07:14 PM

Huge double standards
/r/MensRights18/06/19 06:52 PM

Little late to this but I fully agree. Men shouldn't put up with that. Your wife isnt your mother
/r/MensRights15/06/19 07:05 PM

That's awesome! Yeah it irritates that Father's Day isn't as nearly advertised as mothers day. I've heard people say its because it makes people who dont have a father, same sex mothers etc feel bad. Well if that's the case then dont advertise for mothers day because I dont have a mother that's around for me so i feel bad 🙄
/r/MensRights15/06/19 06:58 PM
1

Hmm I'm a girl and I dont like her so I guess I'm part of the 'weaker female specimens' then
/r/MensRights15/06/19 06:51 PM

I just loved it when Candace pointed out how the woman interrupted her and asked her if she was a toxic feminist for doing that
/r/MensRights15/06/19 06:42 PM
3

Wow that's just so sad. It makes me so lucky that my dad got sole custody and my mother was the one to pay child support
/r/MensRights12/06/19 04:47 PM
2

Looking through the comments someone said it's like treating her (the daughter) as a piece of property 🤦‍♂️
/r/AntiFeminists12/06/19 04:27 PM

I can add this to my list of things that I didnt know happened until i saw it on reddit
/r/MensRights11/06/19 09:36 PM
2

Wait. Were people actually saying that?
/r/MensRights11/06/19 09:14 PM

I'm not really scared, just a bit wary of potential conflict. I'm not always good at defending myself verbally, somewhat because I tend to stutter when I get nervous or something and I'm not taken seriously when that happens. So if I talk about it I try to make sure it's around people that will be respectful and mature, which is hard to find nowadays
/r/MensRights11/06/19 08:11 PM
14

Possibly fake but even so: That escalated quickly
/r/MensRights11/06/19 08:03 PM

I'd be uncomfortable too considering how easy it is to lie and say the dude was harassing you or something. And does she not understand that "creepy" behavior usually isnt creepy, some females just take it that way
/r/MensRights10/06/19 08:03 PM
1

When I was younger and unaware of how sexist feminism was, i saw these kinds of 'empowering' quotes and while I didnt necessarily think of them as empowering it was more of a yeah go girl power thing. It's surprising to me how many girls fall for that sort of thing, thinking it's cool to think that way
/r/MensRights09/06/19 11:18 PM

I was looking at the comments for that post and besides claiming OP is sexist and all, someone was claiming she was making light of rape and abuse. Obviously she wasnt and that's what I was saying

"I felt kind of bad"

I'm no legal expert by any means but my dad got sole custody of me and my sibling when I was a teenager so let me see if this helps. Obviously you'll want to have overwhelming evidence that she is not a good mom, despite being a good one when she is sober. Hopefully you have a decent judge that will look past the usual mothers are better suited garbage. Yes, I'm fairly sure you can use those discharge papers. In my case, before my parents got started with the divorce and custody stuff they separ…

Very true
/r/MensRights07/06/19 03:38 PM

I actually feel like girls are overly encouraged to get involved with stem. Feminism is supposedly about giving girls a choice but it's like they're constantly telling girls what they should be doing and, ironically, it's typically by a girl who isnt in stem
/r/MensRights06/06/19 11:45 PM
2

I really hope that person who is saying that is just a troll and doesnt really believe any of that 🤦‍♂️
/r/MensRights06/06/19 11:30 PM

Wow....I'm so sorry about that. I can't imagine how angry you must be. Makes me glad my dad got sole custody of me and my sibling
/r/MensRights06/06/19 11:23 PM

Let's see, as a female I can vote, am not limited on any job I want, am not treated like some piece of property etc But yes, terrible patriarchy of course
/r/MensRights06/06/19 11:17 PM

It amuses when feminists like her contradict themselves. "Yeah! Let's fight against racism (along with the words for problems that dont exist) against all the evil old white men that make every day life unsafe for us!"
/r/MensRights06/06/19 11:09 PM
7

Or the "he wasnt paying attention to me so I destroyed his xbox/playstation/whatever" "Lol you go girl!" I've seen stuff like that too and wow...makes me embarrassed to be a girl 🤦‍♂️
/r/MensRights05/06/19 11:21 PM

If the 8 year old should know not to do that shouldn't the same be said for the girl?
/r/MensRights05/06/19 12:33 AM

Reminds me of how one female celebrity said men are objectified just as, if not more, than women and oh man were some people (women) upset about that! But it's true. We dont talk enough about these kinds of issues for guys and that's really unfortunate
/r/MensRights05/06/19 12:27 AM
2

The double standards of today's society continue to astound me
/r/MensRights05/06/19 12:16 AM
6

I'm so done with hearing females complaining about work/school dress codes. It's not sexist, it's part of life. Just deal with it
/r/MensRights05/06/19 12:01 AM
6

Right? I sorted by controversial comments just to see and the first one was saying that she missed the point 😑
/r/MensRights03/06/19 07:56 PM
2

Do you have family you could stay with? my first thought was try to avoid her and maybe try to document everything, like her hitting you. Did she leave a bruise? Take pictures. And you mentioned the alcohol/drug abuse, I think in that case you would talk to a lawyer or someone since you have a son together. Sorry I'm not really knowledgable in that area but I hope this helps. I hope things work out, that sounds like it really sucks
/r/MensRights03/06/19 03:57 AM
4

I dont think it is. There are just bad people in the world. I dont want to refer to them as toxic because that word is so overused
/r/MensRights03/06/19 03:48 AM
5

I give them facts, backed up with sources while they typically give me false facts and opinions. It gets difficult at times, not in the sense of I feel guilty about this but rather annoying. For me, being a girl I often hear how I'm betraying my own gender and all but I just try to ignore that.
/r/MensRights03/06/19 03:34 AM
5

I really had hoped this was just satire
/r/MensRights03/06/19 03:26 AM

"Teacher who raped boy now out of jail" Fixed it
/r/MensRights03/06/19 03:23 AM

This makes me roll my eyes (not at you, but the girls who complain about this). Online girls will compliment, say its empowering, etc when a girl is nude or involved in something sexual so I don't get why they feel the need to blame men.
/r/MensRights31/05/19 11:39 PM
28

I hate seeing that. Someone I know shared it on Facebook and the comments were essentially: "Truth" "Take notes boys" "That's the tea"
/r/MensRights31/05/19 11:17 PM
7

Why is something like that even allowed
/r/MensRights31/05/19 11:11 PM

That's satire right? If not....yikes
/r/MensRights31/05/19 12:29 AM

Out of all the other important issues, they choose to tackle this?? Oh goodness 🙄
/r/MensRights31/05/19 12:25 AM

Here's what I think. Depending on the maturity of the kid and all, I think she deserves to know. Sometimes kids handle stuff better than adults think they can. Some might think 7 is a little young but if they just keep it a secret and wait, it might cause mistrust and issues later. Speaking from personal experience, I was on the younger side when my dad explained to me what was going on. I'm thankful he did. It makes it all so much easier than if he lied. Was I hurt and upset by it? Yep but agai…
/r/MensRights29/05/19 01:17 AM

Feminism is a huge part of it but I also believe it's due to jealousy, which in turn could be related to feminism as well. I've seen it irl and in films. Personally, my dad was basically a single father and the best. He did everything and my mother didnt know anything when it came to us and people were quick to remind us about our mother. It's why this issue really gets to me and I find myself irritated at hearing about how great mothers are all the time
/r/MensRights28/05/19 03:27 AM
7

That's absolutely ridiculous! And naturally there will be people that blindly believe it. This just proves we cant even let dead men rest. I really dont think it's true, just people trying to stir things up
/r/MensRights28/05/19 03:04 AM
1

My question is, could she even claim "gang rape" if it was supposedly just two people? Maybe I'm just confused but wouldn't that have to be done by more than 2 people?
/r/MensRights27/05/19 12:41 AM
1

I remember in high school there was this group of boys that would tease me, not in a mean way just being silly teenage boys and I never took it as being negative. I teased them back and that was it. We were all in the same classes together for majority of the time and the teacher was nice but she was so harsh on the boys and would snap at them for just about anything. Like if they teased me and they would be forced to apologize. I felt really bad for them
/r/MensRights27/05/19 12:39 AM

Yep, especially when people are wishing death on a child because he was against abortion. I was appalled

Stuff like was exactly why I didnt keep my tumblr very long
/r/MensRights27/05/19 12:28 AM

I was just about to mention circumcision
/r/MensRights27/05/19 12:25 AM
2

I feel sorry for anyone who knows that girl in real life
/r/MensRights27/05/19 12:24 AM
1

As a girl myself, I completely agree. The first and second wave of feminism was great but now its turned into this huge man hating group and its utterly ridiculous. Feminists are fine until you disagree and have different views/opinions and suddenly your betraying your gender, suffering from internalized misogyny, etc. I also feel like it teaches girls to underestimate themselves because they're shoving this crap about male privilege in their faces and how they're oppressed. And on the flip side…
/r/MensRights27/05/19 12:10 AM
5

This might already go with one point you made already but here's this one: women can have preferences for relationships (like preferring tall guys) and it's fine but if a guy has one (like he wants a thin woman or I dunno someone who doesnt dye her hair) it's considered shallow
/r/MensRights26/05/19 11:26 PM

I've asked a couple of aquaintences this question before and have yet to get an answer
/r/MensRights25/05/19 01:42 AM

"Indicating that she wants children" Interesting 🤔
/r/MensRights24/05/19 01:00 AM
3

Ridiculous absolutely ridiculous! At the middle school I used to go to there is a teacher on leave for alleged inappropriate conduct. I didnt have her but some of my friends did. I was floored that people were actually defending her saying it couldn't have been that bad and stuff. They certainly wouldn't have done that if it was a male teacher!
/r/MensRights22/05/19 04:09 AM
2

I posted the exact same thing on my fb. Had a couple angry at me and asked (read that as: demanded) that I take it down
/r/MensRights21/05/19 07:35 PM

He really needs to do something about that, have a serious talk, assert himself, something. That is clearly not a happy marriage and I feel for the guy
/r/MensRights19/05/19 06:54 PM

I'm speechless
/r/MensRights19/05/19 06:50 PM

Ridiculous
/r/MensRights19/05/19 06:49 PM
16

No one should be hitting anybody As much I'm in agreement with hitting back for self defense (dont care if you're a girl, if you hit a guy they should be able to hit back because you hit/punched them), the girl could easily twist it so it makes the guy look like the bad guy. Which is so unfortunate
/r/MensRights19/05/19 04:53 PM
17

Right! I've heard that "no woman would ever lie about something like that" Oh no, they would 🤨
/r/MensRights19/05/19 04:48 PM

Potential client or not, he should have just blocked her in my opinion. She clearly wasn't respecting him

/r/AntiFeminists17/05/19 04:15 PM

Primarily family/friends but even his guidance counselor from high school (we're in college now). And I've told him that he shouldn't let other opinions stop him from doing what he wants. I've pointed out how good he is with kids and that I definitely support him with whatever he chooses
/r/MensRights15/05/19 01:38 AM

"Shaming tactics" What about when they talk about fragile masculinity/male ego and all?
/r/AntiFeminists14/05/19 11:00 PM

I wholeheartedly agree. I know people like that. To me if you're unwilling to look at both sides and have a real talk without name calling or something then you're not mature enough to have that discussion
/r/MensRights14/05/19 10:40 PM

"Our reproductive rights are being erased" I disagree. They're definitely not and a "sex strike" isnt going to do anything
/r/MensRights14/05/19 12:24 AM
1

I'm torn. On one hand it's absolutely disgusting that someone would defend those women but on the other hand maybe some of them have actually been raped themselves and using humor is their way of dealing with it...? I dunno maybe I'm overthinking it.
/r/MensRights14/05/19 12:09 AM

It really feels like a troll. I decided to check it out yesterday and the posts are so....I dont know even know. Crazy (for a lack of a better word).

I went through some post and wow...at first before I saw it I thought it was for both men and girls but it isn't and some people are crazy. "I'm glad romance is dead" and stuff like that. Goodness...
/r/AntiFeminists11/05/19 12:43 AM

This reminds me of a video I saw where this girl was crying because of this very issue. This guy saved her because she could've drowned and I dont know if she ever attempted to charge him but she insisted it was rape

I was happy to see that most (I didnt read all the comments) said he wasnt at fault. I was surprised that the girls didnt get in trouble, I mean really....what kind of school is that, that allows the girls to get away with it 😐

Ugh that's ridiculous

Not to be rude but that sounds like something a child would do

I wonder what they would think of a girl "manspreading"
/r/AntiFeminists29/04/19 12:02 AM

Maybe it's just the OP that knows those kind of people but I don't know any girl that does that before a date

I have absolutely nothing against trans people but I really dont understand people that transition their little kids...they're kids! Correct me if I'm wrong but what kid is actually talking about that stuff (with a serious attitude) without parental influence and/or them just repeating what they heard

This is another term that makes me roll my eyes. Seriously, I dont see a problem and I don't understand why it's such an issue. I have to "manspread" because of issues with my legs and it gets uncomfortable if I cross them or keep them very close together (but of course I dont do it when wearing a dress or skirt lol) and I can only imagine how uncomfortable it would be for a guy not to do it

please tell me this is someone being sarcastic or trying to rile people up
/r/MensRights25/04/19 11:50 PM

That's ridiculous. It was mentioned already but I was gonna say make sure to document everything, she needs to be held accountable and realize it's not okay
/r/MensRights25/04/19 11:38 PM

She deserves to be in prison

What I want to know is how is it legal that they even opened up that business in the first place? They're pretty much openly discriminating men

I hate that term so much. We all sometimes end up talking like that, doesnt make it right but there doesnt need to be a sexist term for it. But on another note, sometimes girls (usually feminists) will say a male is mansplaining when they're not. It reminds me of something I saw that was from twitter and circling on FB. I think it was someone from marvel or whatever and she was waiting in line and a guy was talking about the movie and she posted it because she thought it was amusing and feminist…

I mean I think people should do what they're comfortable doing. If a guy wants to stay home, cool and a girl wants to be in government that's cool as long as she knows what she's doing. As for a female president, she better know what she's doing and if I felt she would be good enough, I might vote for her but never because of her gender. I'd also like to say that while its great that girls are getting involved with STEM, I feel like it's being over done if that makes sense. You know, overly enco…

What could possibly make her think it's okay to touch anyone innapropriately, let alone a minor
/r/MensRights24/04/19 03:50 PM

If this hasn't been mentioned, make sure not to have any contact with her whatsoever so nothing could be twisted against you Good luck dude! I really hope everything works out!

As a girl myself, you definitely have the right for a preference. It's just that, a preference. It's not a big deal and I don't get why some girls get so upset about it

I read the comments and I got confused by a couple things and maybe someone can clear it up for me. Firstly, people were talking about consent education class. Why would someone need that? Secondly, one person wrote that a cop at their sisters orientation said that a common cause of rape was vodka because women drink it since it has less calories. And someone said that was sexist and I dont understand how it could be perceived that way

I really hope she's just being sarcastic or something

Annnnd attitudes like this are part of the reason why boys have self esteem issues

I'm a girl and I don't know anyone that's been raped Girls lie about rape whether they want to admit it or not And unless the rapist is super crazy confident that they wont go to prison or maybe they just dont care, I highly doubt most would mention it for fear of getting caught but that's just me

Tumblr is sosososo negative. I used to have one (well I technically still do I just dont log on) for harry Potter stuff and I heard how the site was big on feminism so I searched it and the day I saw that someone posted that girls who arent feminists need to go to a country where they have no rights or be in an abusive relationship was the last day I used tumblr that's just crazy and I'm not surprised by those search results

Wow. I mean for me personally I hate abortion but seriously I dont think us girls know what we want anymore. We can't say it's our body our choice and say they have no involvement whatsoever and then cry because why arent there more guys who want to be fathers But yeah I agree. Girls dont want to be judged for not being mothers so dont do the same for guys

This is just....wow. my dad was basically a single father and did more for me and my brother than my mother ever did. This is ridiculous. And the remark about being sick? Yeah my brother and I take multiple medicines for different reasons and my mother didn't have a clue as to what we were taking

Imagine if a guy wrote this and the outrage that would follow

This reminds me of when I was in an English class for college and a classmate was doing a paper on feminism so I decided to familiarize myself with the topic and watched both pro and anti feminism videos and came across this one video where this woman was upset and crying because she went for a swim in a lake and fell unconscious and a man saved her by doing CPR and she was trying to say he raped her because he took advantage of her while she was unconscious. I'd like to know how he was supposed…

I'm from the US, just not currently sexually active. And I've heard about the arguments, like the one you mentioned or for cleanliness but then doctors have stated there are no health benefits for circumcision. If you dont have a true medical reason for it, why get one? And I get what you mean, it didnt really sound anti Christian, I just didn't know if anyone knew that 🙂

I'm a Christian (and a girl so I hope you guys dont mind me commenting on this sub) and I dont know anybody that has done that to their son or had it done themselves. It's not required for a believer

Toxic masculinity....cultural toxicity... Why is everything toxic?? It, like 'triggered', has been used so much nowadays its lost its meaning (in my opinion)

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
