I’m married to one, generally I would say they are looking for another career-driven, responsible, potentially successful, ambitious person. However, every women is different, I would approach them in the most mature manner at first and then gauge the personality, and adjust. Also, sometimes they are bored by the professional men they interact with at work, so you might benefit from being different from that. Again, this is a case-by-case basis. In conclusion, I don’t think the approach should b…

I was expressing my opinion on the technique, not down-talking it, the commentor I replied to even took it in stride. Calm down.

Just seems a bit lame and corny to me, I used to make that joke when I was 10, theres many other better ways to deal with it as described in this thread. If someone did that on date with me I would roll my eyes and see right through it. But if it works for you, and its getting positive results, by all means.

I don't know, I'm not trying to over critical, but it just appeared like you were trying to hard. I think that if you didn't have previous interactions with this girl things would have gone very differently. However, everyone has a different style and different women respond to different approaches so really, it's nothing worth arguing for.

I came to this exact realization after being dumped from a long term relationship. I wasn't over my previous gf but forced myself to approach girls and set up dates, I was alarmed to see how easy it was because I did not care about the outcome, as I was emotionally closed off. As I got over my ex, I maintained the same mentality and It been fruitful to say the least.
