I’m sorry to hear that. I’m in the process of making a men’s support group, would love to have you there.

I didn’t know these scenarios are as common as shared by people in this sub. It’s devastating to say the least.

It’s a saddening reality to deal with.

Most of them get away with it scot free.

The psychological damage done is insurmountable.

A very archaic tradition of India involves the groom’s family demanding dowry comprising of gifts and money in cash and kind from the bride’s family. In this case, the wife accused husband of demanding dowry 13 years after the marriage & after she was caught cheating which is clearly a false case.

I believe paying for someone’s education isn’t wrong. However, the loss the husband bore cannot be quantified.

Highly opportunistic, narcissist and machiavellian.

Narcissism at its peak.

Right, but someone aren’t able to figure it out due to naivety or excessive empathy.

Sad reality of men, sorry to hear that! Some self- proclaimed intellectuals attribute it to the fact that ‘people grow apart’, just one of the many thinly veiled nonsensical narratives they come up with.

Some reason ‘biological factors’ for that.

As an Indian, I corroborate your statement.

Perfectly described! It’s about time society understands the plight of men in today’s world.

Good that you didn’t get married with thoughts to mitigate the situation. Do consult an attorney to discuss this situation and make a move. It’s obvious you know what to do but just need an impetus to get started. Judging from the statement, “I always have a weakness for girl in distress”, you seem like a man with golden heart.

It’s upsetting to see ‘Guilty until proven innocent’ view existing in first world countries that doesn’t take into account the loss of salary, attorney fees (to prove oneself right), or even compensation by the plaintiff. Reparations could be a viable solution to that problem. What’s worse is the psychological damage, embarrassment, humiliation, undermining of human life, and mental anguish of the victim that takes ages to subside or gets passed onto the next generation. Many of today’s problems…

Thanks. How do I do that?

No, the damage was unendurable and it tarnished my identity in the university. It was draining psychologically and left a permanent scar. Yeah, some of them should be avoided at all costs.

It’s sad to hear that. Back in college days, my batchmates considered me a whizkid who excelled in academics and sports, which irked a self proclaimed genius girl. She proceeded to threaten me with fake sexual harassment case with fake crying if I don’t back down from academics, so she could excel and gain attention.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
