I wasn't saying that you were inflating it, just to be clear. Just that anyone that feels like anyone who brings up the real numbers as trying to "minimize rape", or anything I feel are missing it. 1 in 32 is horrific, 1 in a 1000 would still be horrific. For sure, we shouldn't try manipulate the figures, just try to work on solutions.

It's an utterly obscene number. 1 in 1000 would still be terrifying and require immediate action. But it's also disrespectful to feel like the numbers HAVE to be inflated. Things need to be done to fight rape, just like things need to be done to fight all crime. Even 1 in a million chance of getting raped is something that needs to be fought against, and as a society we should do all we can within reason to fight crime.

No, who is saying them matters. Sources can potentially fabricate or taint the presentation of facts, and your willingness to use them as a source is a betrayal of your personal biases and opens you up from criticism and dismissal. Sources matter.

Oh. He was a transexual male who joined feminists in Sweden. He was thrown out for being a man (even though biologically he was female), and bullied relentlessly on social media. It's thought to have contributed to his suicide directly. So this is a Men's right's issue, since it's a man who was bullied into suicide by radical feminsits.

Wait... how is Lesbian privileged? From what i've seen, it seems you're probably just as likely to have intolerant people give you a negative reaction identifying as a lesbian than as queer, most people don't understand the "difference". Right, absolutely. But a more fair campaign would be to say, "Only rapists are responsible for rape", there are ways to say that in a more neutral way. And for male victims, the phrasing in it sounds like they are to blame if they fail to stop their rape. So it's offensive and triggering to male rape victims, while ignoring them as victims, or women as perpetrators. It can be phrased more neutrally to be more accepting of all victims, and damning of all perpetrators regardless of their genders.

I personally don't feel pitted against or threatened by feminism for instance, I think there are a lot of ways that Women are still mistreated, that need to be remedied, same as with Men. I don't feel approaching any of my fellow human beings with antagonism is going to solve much of anything. But why "______ right's" instead of human rights? Because there aren't any real across-the-board groups that really watch out for everyone. The ACLU comes close, there are some other groups that come close…

I think you could ask the same thing about Feminism. Why Female rights, instead of just human rights, or equal rights? The reality is that there are advocacy issues in regards to how Men are treated by the legal system, and many male issues that are not being directly dealt with by many other rights groups. Some people aren't violent, some women are stronger, or use weapons, some people get drugged or are very drunk. I've never met a legitimate proponent of a male-dominated society. I'm for equality, when I see a situation that benefits men while disadvantaging women, I get pissed.
