Idk about this take or maybe I’m just not a true boss babe lol. But I’m an attorney (blessed to stay at home & work with my 6 month old) and consider myself traditional — my biggest joy is actually my family; my career is just something I enjoy doing. My ex husband was an orthopedic surgeon & my current fiancé is a VP at a bank. I think they were happy I had a career & my partner even jokes how he’s happy to pay for our in home nanny because he knows I wouldn’t be completely satisfied if I was 1…

Just lead with your feminine attributes and don’t overly emphasize your career because genuinely speaking, “provider/high value” men will respect your intelligence (it is admirable + indicates you’ll likely have intelligent children) but your career won’t be the reason they choose to be with you or commit. I’m graduating from law school but I don’t overly speak on it because it’s only one aspect of who I am and isn’t my entire identity. Be an interesting person. Take care of your appearance. Hav…

Pretty untrue and likely the opposite.. I think the quality of a man’s exes would be more important than him just entertaining a bunch of women. But to a truly “high value” woman, I can’t imagine she genuinely cares too much about either and is more focused on his character + the way he treats her/others.

The only opinion that matters is your future husband. If it makes sense for you two, collectively and individually, do what makes you happy.

My husband and father are both physicians. I’d say women who are self-sufficient (since they’re busy and can’t hold your hand all the time), independent but not to the detriment of the relationship, educated (not necessarily with a degree but well versed in an array of topics so you can converse with them and others at work events, etc), care about fitness, attractive (to whatever standard they may have — subjective obviously), a genuine person who appreciates them as a person vs. who they are a…

As a doctor’s wife and daughter, I can agree here. Being with anyone who is competent and has money/busy lifestyle is tough and brings its own challenges.

I think wholesome, romantic relationships are more so built on friendship. Love because anything is still conditional & therefore begs the question of if, even that, is genuine.

I had to scroll back up to remind myself how old you two are lol. Please don’t waste any more time with this “man.”

This seems kind of trivial in my opinion. If he wants some space, give it to him. Just because you’re both home and off work doesn’t mean he has to entertain you. Free time doesn’t always mean someone is available for you - emotionally or physically. I understand you want to spend time with him but give him space. And if you’re going to address it, do it in a less passive aggressive way. Men enjoy women’s presence even if that means doing nothing together. Depending on how busy he is when isn’t …

I’m confused as to how religion correlates to the invasion of privacy of a grown, functioning adult. No.

The fact that he’s merely a boyfriend is where the conversation should stop lol. You’re giving him way too much of a say on your future when he hasn’t even proposed/shown that he intends to be with you for the long haul. Proceed with caution.

Be feminine at home/while dating. Try to keep work stuff at work, although I know it’s easier said than done [I’m (28F) married to an ortho surgery resident (29M) while a business owner/law student]. If you have free time, try going to places that attract a certain caliber of people. I don’t think men that are successful are turned off by successful women, per se, so long as you don’t make that your entire identity. Keep up with any hobbies you may have, current events, etc. so you’re still a wo…

People ask if my husband and I have an arranged marriage (we don’t) & it makes me laugh but I also view it as a compliment since they’re basically saying we are extremely compatible. I think if done correctly, having an arranged marriage can save a lot of time and effort. I feel like a good marriage is just as much a logical choice as it is an emotional one so it makes sense to me!
