Thanks for the comment. It wasn't the first time but I wouldn't go as far as to say it's a pattern. And by hospital, I thought at first he meant alcohol poisoning but he specified that he was so dehydrated from drinking that he couldn't keep water down. He is in his mid twenties. When he finally got out of bed yesterday evening, it sounds to me like he wants to stay away from alcohol for a bit.

I mean there is a history of drug and alcohol abuse in his family. He told me today that he felt like he may have needed to go to the hospital which he didn't say anything about last night. Short answer, no. I don't think it is deceptive because it is scarring and will never look like you never self-harmed unfortunately. Funny you mention politics, that's pretty much what did me in, this war against SAHMs and femininity. Thanks for the awesome comment! I underwent some scar removal surgeries for the wider scars and I've been so focused on those for the past couple years that I haven't really looked into what I can do to professionally diminish the appearance of the more surface level scarring. While my scrubs and oils have made a difference, it's not quite the results that I want.

My husband is kind of the opposite of my father.
