Does nobody else think the fact that she dominated 90% of the conversation mean that she was probably a bit self centred? If she didn't give a shit about you - she wasn't worth it. You did nothing wrong, she was just being boring. You can't sleep with everyone.

I'd say don't be that guy who hangs around other foreigners exclusively in Japan. It just makes you seem close minded and perpetuates the alienated aura your company has. The use of the word "interaction" itself mechanises the whole thing. I don't need to worry because talking to people isn't an issue for me at all these days. And another important point is that some people are just boring.
