Yea, I agree but also there is a correct way to express feelings for someone and not letting her see your entire hand too early.

The "its not rejection but redirection" concept is important and takes away alot of fear I've had.

I was also raised in the same vein, sheltered and only social interaction my mom wanted for me was through the church. I'm still a Church goer but had to learn alot of lessons the hard way, trial and error.

No. That girl wanted to be platonic friends after 2 dates and I said I would rather be more and told her that. She got in touch with me a few months later (which surprised me) and dated a bit again but I dodged a bullet with that one and haven't been in touch since.

My go to has included the line, "Okay. Thats fine. Let me know if you change your mind." Say it with a smile. It has worked for me in the past with a girl reaching out later, but I've only used it with those who I've dated several times and who have a method to get back in touch with me. Still, you walk away with a take it or leave it attitude.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
