| 1 | 'Gender pay gap' is just a mythNo, I’m pointing out the very clear dark side of the “benefits” women get from this system, that you and others seem to be trying to ignore. I’m against women downplaying male issues and making them seem like entitled pricks, and I feel the same way about men who do the same thing to women. I’m sorry if you feel offended by that | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 15/08/26 08:19 PM |
| -3 | 'Gender pay gap' is just a mythAre you pretending that women who don’t fit into their gender role aren’t mocked or made to feel “other?” Even your counterclaim about women are made about them IN THE HOUSEHOLD. Society’s expectation, yes including yours, when speaking about an adult woman, will almost always default to a married woman. So a single woman working the same job as a man will still make less. It’s like you’re not even trying to advocate for equality, you just want to feel like you’re suffering more than women. | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 15/08/26 07:43 PM |
| -3 | 'Gender pay gap' is just a mythI’m sorry? Are we really acting like society doesn’t play a role in how jobs and gender relate to each other? Obviously women are expected by social norms to work at home, and that pressure gets in the way of equal opportunity. So obviously men get paid more, because they’re not societally pressured to stay home and be subservient to someone else. Isn’t this place “left wing male advocates?” It’s starting to seem more like an echo chamber for men to blame women for everything. | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 15/08/26 06:20 PM |
| -11 | Man vs. Bear: an analysisWell your analogy doesn’t take that into account. When you bring up pit bulls, you’re talking about their ability to be loyal and loving, not their capacity for violence. Meanwhile, when people refer to the bear, they ARE talking about their capacity for violence. I know what you’re trying to say about women not being loyal or loving or whatever, but once again, that DOES NOT compare to actual physical harm enacted by a person who should know better. I feel like we should all know this at this p… | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 19/07/26 05:59 PM |
| -19 | Man vs. Bear: an analysisThat’s a bad response, because the difference is that a bear will literally kill you. The worst a woman could do in this scenario is emotionally neglect or mock you. You’re inadvertently admitting that a random man is much more dangerous than a random woman, socially speaking. We need to retire this talking point | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 19/07/26 05:17 PM |
