BJJ and Billiards are competitive. You're beating other men too. Makes me think of rams butting heads. Instruments isn't unless it's a talent show but top musicians are highly respected and high earning.

They're fine as long as they're not speed dating. I'd say they're pretty good. How tall were the Chads, maybe it was a personality thing, and were they employed?

It's a 16 year old study where almost 80% of men still stayed with their wife. Cancer patients tend to be older and I'd argue older men have more old fashioned beliefs. Older men also know they have the sexpat option. I'm not sure if wife goggles are a thing but 79.2% of men staying doesn't disprove its existence.

I think men just have higher libido so most relationships one party will want more sex unless you are dating a really high libido girl. (This is not an invitation to brag about a high libido girl you dated) Maybe we just need an agreement guys can masturbate if it's bed time and she's not interested. You just get up, leave the room, and go on cornhub.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/26 09:54 PM

East Asians have caught up on height. Skin color can only do so much as you can see by the average sexpat who's like 40+, with a huge belly, bald and only wealthy by Thai/Filipino standards.

Absolutely on the race stuff, but I'm almost certain this post gets deleted for rule 7. Nothing you can do but be better and tell yourself to behave as confidently as a mid white guy approaching Asian girls. 21 year old girls rejecting you for being 31 is normal too.

Yeah people were saying this was all for clout or his wife was getting revenge on him for saying dumb shit. Who makes themselves look like a cuck or slut for clout? Well... I guess people do become adult film stars for money.

Dude you type like a 12 year old that got held back 3 grades randomly capitalizing everything. I don't keep up with Elon enough to know he's divorced apparently. My point is that people often get together or even married despite not being looksmatch due to things like money. Some of them are in love and happy despite marrying a fat sack of narcissism.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/11/24 03:09 AM

IDK ask Elon and Trump if they're happy. Ask like any celeb with a far poorer spouse.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/11/24 10:33 PM

Often people just think of each other as their own looksmatch but on average society would categorize one higher. There's usually something else making up for looks mismatches like money.

In traditional ppd sense, the top level redpill comments know nothing. Gay bars are common in bkk and amsterdam and there were a few in Shanghai before covid. Passport broing was always about sex tourism, not finding a partner. Look through the threads on ppb subs and see how many are complaining about their marriages vs the hookers they slept with on a 1 week vacation.

Most woman at a healthy BMI are attractive though. A man at a healthy BMI still has to be tall, few other things, and earn as much or more than the women he's targeting. Like how 80% of men on Okcupid were at or below average and a normal distribution for women replicated in other dating apps.

There's definitely hot guys, at least hot when they started dating, who do minimal housework in relationships where women don't leave. I think that was the user's point. Plenty of ugly guys who keep their places pristine who don't have a chance. Not to mention that you can't land a good job if you don't know how to wash your clothes or eat enough healthy nutritious food to stay awake during the workday. Lots of famous celebs love crap foods. Trump has coke on a button at the white house. Buffet …
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/24 11:07 AM

Why keep going? From a time and money perspective it's a waste. We know why guys get laid, they approach a lot of girls and are attractive enough.

Guys who go to the club but almost never get laid there, why?

Nah everyone tries less after a while in a relationship. It happens so much there's terms like lovebombing. I don't think it's intentional or evil like some women do, people just really get into relationships at the start and common criticism is that it leads to abusiveness but I don't think that's necessarily true.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/24 03:32 PM

It's just how brains are wired. You release more oxytocin and try harder at the start of relationships then sex frequency decreases over time even in other animals. I agree people let themselves go a bit too much. Food especially is in abundance compared to how we evolved so overweightedness is a big problem. There's a lot of creature comforts and distractions. You see a lot of guys who get addicted to games and don't help with childcare or housework despite the wife/gf working on stopgaming. A …

I take it you didn't grow up poor. Most dual income families don't use nannies or babysitters (daycares yes since it's 1 to many, the cost is lower). They just leave the kids at home alone or with an older sibling or drop them off at the grandparents. Nannies are kinda a luxury thing. Babysitters for upper middle class.

If the economy does get worse, they'll change the narrative. Like after brexit England's wages dropped relative to inflation. Then they started allowing way more immigrants to revitalize the country's GDP despite lowering immigration being one of the reasons for brexit in the first place. Brexit started by promising immediate improvements to the economy too before the narrative changing to being about 25 years down the line. In Trump's celebration Trump said he wanted to make Musk the Chief effi…

Told a girl my count was 10. I only said it cuz she agreed to say hers. She said "oh I just have to say a number? 0." I don't think it's 0. We're in our 30s. She ghosted me but I don't think it was cuz of this. I'm gonna start saying 6 now (it's higher). I think saying 2 would sound too much like a loser. Too high and I sound like a fuccboi.

I started taking creatine and my energy levels are way higher. I can definitely lift more and my muscles are sore after a workout. I've done some research on steroids and it sounds like your body stops producing testosterone naturally when you take it which means you either are on it forever or have this long period where you're depressed and lose your muscles as well as effects on fertility. You can't negotiate it but levels of attraction do increase the longer they're together. It's how people develop types. When female rats are given fur suits male rats develop a fetish for furry females and spurn ones without hairy jackets.

I agree with /u/kalashhhhhhhh but at 19-20 you go to University and students are no longer jail bait or living at home so girls can date older guys or legally go on dating apps. A lot of guys, myself included, on tinder have matched with a girl who said "I'm actually 2 years younger teehee" because they started using the app at 16. Vance was given the spot of VP because he was a white man too. His wife being Indian probably got him the spot since it appeals to minorities. Both sides want votes. Yeah Kamala got her spot as VP because she brought in PoC women voters for Biden. Just like Trump, Vance, and Waltz being white men got them their spots.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/11/24 09:05 PM

A PoC woman might have been the right choice in 2020 as VP but was probably the wrong choice for Presidential candidate in 2024. Maybe a half black man like Obama would've had more of a chance.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/11/24 08:27 PM

I think it also shows that women don't always support other women. A common criticism among redpill is that women support each other while men don't. Like we had a few topics on why men don't build shelters just for men. But 44% of female voters voted for Trump. Maybe because it's because Trump is a man and men are viewed as more assertive even by women voters though.

First one but I'd still say it's delusional for a 4' something broke girl to want a 6 ft guy in finance with blue eyes and a trust fund. Second one isn't as delusional. Like a 5'8 girl can still require the guy be 6ft. But the average height difference between men and women is closer to 6 inches and I don't think she'd care if the guy were 6'2. She probably wouldn't be like "you're too tall" to a 6'5 guy either. I think standards drop as women get older as they're reminded of their biological cl…

They're not mutually exclusive. Environment is nurture but brain chemistry is the product of nature and nurture. Fetishes come from media and repetitive relationships with the same group. Why would std rates increase due to dating apps though? I also see that the rate is highest for women ages 18-24. The article from the cdc says half. I can totally see that being true cuz that's the young dumb and full of cum age where people are fine with not using condoms till they get a scare. And then men overtake women in gonnhorea at 25. This article also shows that syphilis rates are higher in men. Women lead in Chlamydia and hpv is asymptomatic in most men. https://usafacts.org/articles/…

You can see it like a transient thing the way buddhists view things. Even if you pass away in hospital beds at 95 right next to each other, marriage isn't permanent, it lasted 60 years. I think if you don't want kids you could not go through an expensive wedding to limit the cost of marriage and subsequent potential divorce. I think when you combine this chart with IQ to profession and profession to income (chart 4) you'll see that for the most part women prefer men who are more intelligent with exceptions like women not liking software developers despite their income for perceived incompatibilities or lack of physique, while preferring average intelligence and lower income occupations like police officer that are still respectable and require physical exams (at least on entry).

Finding someone thru passions is overrated. Tell every redditor to hold their breath for their anime girl who'll grind video games with them for 8 hours a day weekends. Or every drunken hookup that led to a relationship or marriage cuz love chemicals were released by sex and elevated afterwards. For sex, standards are low, especially for men on juice. For relationships, they tend to be much higher but many men are ok with a girl who's poorer provided the relationship is more traditional. So maybe more progressive men have higher standards when it comes to the woman's education and income but I still wouldn't say it's high (like a billionaire man will be ok marrying a millionaire woman). Often women put up with a lot and don't end the relationship. How many mothers went through physical abuse for a lifetime? Or "I make the money I call the shots" but stayed for the children? Some put up with cheating too but that goes both ways. I've heard of educated women giving up decent careers to move to small towns because of a man but again goes both ways nowadays.

Media plays a part. Modern music is mostly romance, some songs are supposed to remind you of sex subconsciously. Can't watch 10 movies without 9 having romance. Feeds into peer pressure where guys made fun of me for not having had sex when I was younger. They didn't know either if I was a virgin.

I think immigration is the big one here. Quick Google says most of the population came from Brazil. A global snap removing 40% of the male population means immigration would still leave spots with fewer men. I guess you'd get more passport sisters.

Oh this is a fun one. We've not had a large disparity in modern times. We're more progressive than post ww2. In college lots of girls went for older guys but it was a lot better to date since there's often more girls than guys and everyone's experimenting. Not necessarily on apps but at parties despite more guys at every party. Right after college it was still hard but I got lots of dates. At 70:30 male sex workers like the rental girlfriends in Japan would be common. Society would restructure i…

Love is irrational. It's hormones that override logical thought. I met a friend recently who's becoming a doctor. She's dating a guy who worked as a strip club runner for 5 years. It's not the first time I've seen a girl date down for a guy who's tall, white, and buff. We need love as it's allowed our species to survive. But a lot of guys know they're not the right person for a woman. My friend is fit, smart, and steers clear of drugs. The guy she's with sounds like a dumbass by comparison who k…

Depends. Some women won't do any work and will reduce my survival chances more than a well trained German shepherd that could help me hunt. What's the food situation like? Dogs can't survive on just berries like people. Rarely a person (maybe this woman) has bushcraft skills. Average woman/dog we'd both end up dead. Average dog is too domesticated to survive in the wilds just like the average person. You'd need big game and to be in a temperate climate without the tools to make a permanent shelt…

Baggage is fairly normal as is thinking about exes from time to time. Apparently men are more likely to reach out to an ex than the boys when dealing with emotional issues. That's a bit too far though but it explains why so many people get back together. Personally I feel I think least about exes when I'm with someone. I may have let some relationships go on too long because it helps to get over someone else.

It's really just about how distant in the past and whether theres a double standard. If the friend stayed last week and trashed the house and 5 other guys were staying in between that time and I can't stay over even though I'm a similarly close friend then obviously it has nothing to do with the other friends trashing the place.

I think there's some logistics to it but even if you live with your parents, it's better to be "6'5 and muscular" than living on your own and 5'6 and mildly overweight. Girls who have their own place will invite the former and girls who don't have their own place will prefer 6'5 as well and find the next tallest to go home with. There's also hotels but those are expensive. I've traveled with guys in hostels.

I think the low standards are for sex rather than relationships. Eventually it becomes sunk cost. If the girl in a relationship doesn't cook or do household cleaning the guy is going to see it and extrapolate that's what married life will be like. Look at this woman who outearns her boyfriend. But I was okay with it until now because I wasn't too serious. Now she's considering marriage. Starting to think getting that 15% body fat with muscles is a financial decision more than a health one. I think people don't know what it means to be masculine. If you asked people to define it people would say it'd be lifting weights, chopping wood, and fixing cars or plumbing/electricity without hiring an electrician. It's more biological. I feel like passport broing like westerners have been doing will pick up like you've said. But the poorer men will have a harder time. Crude divorce rates sound like a bad stat to use since it doesn't take into account population distributions. It's bad but China's divorce rates have come down a bit due to the 30 day cooling off period. Oh I don't care about the few men not being chosen for ONS unless they're not being chosen for their race. It's not fair that men are biased against for their race but it doesn't have to be fair. Every year something like 60 thousand (might be 600k have to double check) more Asian men than women will never marry in the US just because of their race. It's not like lookism just applies to hookups.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/24 10:51 PM

There was a time where the argument was that women didn't need to have autonomy over their bodies or sex lives. That the world didn't need to be fair to women.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/24 10:36 PM

Yeah, but taken to an extreme nothing needs to be fair. Society could pool all the power to wealthy white men. They could take away women's voting rights and force them to marry and pop out babies. They could bring back shit like partial lobotomies and electrostatic shock therapy if a woman is deemed hysterical by her husband. They could make the colored folks work the fields and wrestle for entertainment. It's really a matter of who has power.

Homosexuality is supposedly genetic. To what degree I'm not sure, at the very least it's more acceptable these days to be on the spectrum so more young men will admit to being bi or have tried sexual relations with another man despite genetics not changing. It's like changing left handedness vs overcoming social anxiety (not autism) or trauma.

You're right. I misunderstood that his was for all marriages with people aged 25-64. Still, even when you factor in for dinks the source has the distribution with 48% men making more, 32% similar, 20% women making 50% more.

In 55% of opposite-sex marriages, men are the primary or sole breadwinners, earning a median of $96,000 to their wives’ $30,000. Meanwhile, in 16% of marriages the wives outearn their husbands as the primary (10%) or sole breadwinner (6%). In these marriages women earn a median of $88,000 to their husbands’ $35,000. The entire article tries to spin facts but the facts are there. Here's the source, pew: https://www.pewresearch.org/social-trends/2023/04/13/in-a-growing-share-of-u-s-marriages-husba…

I don't know how many women have kids out of wedlock and then marry, but for new marriages 55% of men earn at least 50% more than their wife. 16% the other way around. https://www.cnn.com/2023/04/16/success/husbands-wives-earning-division-of-labor-pew-survey/index.html Unless the wife was taking care of kids or pregnant as she was getting married, it doesn't factor into it. Single mothers remarrying might factor into this as well, but I still think the discrepancy is too big to be explained.

We're already seeing lower marriage rates. Childbirth rates are declining. I think people like to think themselves immune to brainwashing from media but they aren't. Maybe media will show more high earning women dating low earning men as that experience becomes more common. Asian women imo already outearn their non-Asian spouses. Or maybe it'll be more socially acceptable to date poorer just like it's acceptable to use dating apps or play video games or like superhero stuff now.

Ok but if the woman is acting interested in the man for his looks or personality, and is rebuffed because she earns more than him. Is that not just perpetuating the idea that women only have worth if they need looking after? I think guys like this are idiots. The only concern is that women who earn more are more likely to divorce but maybe the women are just willing to put up with less since they're financially independent. How much would you pay for a subscription for a gf? For a rental girlfriend? Cuz it sounds like you're not interested in kids or marriage. There's a time cost too to relationships. It's up to you to determine if that's worth it. A lot of people, men and women, are not looking because they don't think it's worth the effort or are too busy at any time.

Most tests are probably shit because they're not actually measuring a person's character well like orange peel where asking "why?" is a fail. Maybe it's irresponsible for a woman to have her boyfriend watch a niece or nephew or maybe women just don't watch their nieces and nephews that often if they even have them. Also most girls like words of affirmation and sometimes the tests are playful.

I think height preference is largely taught. Throughout most of human evolution getting enough calories to reach maximum height was a challenge anyways. When humans lived in tribes the genetic variability between different people in the tribe wasn't that high. Basically I don't see the need for a tribal leader to kill the old tribal leader's kids when the kids of the old tribal leader were likely similar to him in genetics.

In small tribes where humanity evolved Unga wasn't that genetically different from Dunga. So say Unga bonked Stacya and Dunga helped raise the kid. Maybe Unga died because his tall height caused his joints to break while getting chased by a mammoth. Genetically it's not that much different from Dunga raising his brother's kids which means some of his genes go on.

There's more sociopaths who approach because sociopaths are more confident. At the very least promiscuous chads are more likely to approach than shy guys. For the record, I do approach, a lot. I just don't like this rationalization.

A lot have been stated so here's one I didn't read here. Women are outperforming the average man and some have difficulty finding a man who matches them since men by nature seem more minimalistic and many of the higher earning men men are fine settling down with women who make less.

Confidence is often just hiding your bad side. You don't believe it exists and so other people don't find it. Maybe it's that. I don't think 6 ft Chad at the club tells girls he's struggling with depression or bangs lots of chicks on the side. He has enough experience knowing what works.

I heard recently that men don't ejaculate as much semen when watching porn. We know when we're masturbating and when we're having sex even subconsciously. Overuse of porn is definitely harmful if it leads to ED or death grip or both. And maybe some men think that straight to jackhammering and some more degenerative moves are the ideal sex move for women when they aren't, just like porn affects people's perception of average dick size or attractive partner. But I wouldn't equate the 2.

I think the wealthy have always had concubines. Tom Brady, Bill Gates, Tiger Woods, and Melon Tusk have all been lusted after for their fame and resources. Women want a man to give the resources all to their own children or to themselves, not to whoever a man is cheating with and potentially fathering children with (our monkey brains don't understand contraceptives or abortion clinics)

I think living with your mom can be a good thing but it's probably the thing women don't like most on this list if it's the parent's place. Your clothes should fit even if they're $5 shirts. The car can be new or not have issues even if it's not luxury. I recall a survey of things people are least likely to put up with when dating and the biggest one was living at home.

Boston, kinda feel the same but women do have high standards. I met someone looking into sperm donors and I just thought we were too young in our early 30s for that. Their standards are high enough to consider sperm donors over someone like me who makes barely 6 figures. I think they want someone who makes more and had their own place and car. Some partnered off already because their only qualifications were looks or their standards weren't as high when they were younger or less established in t…

I've read many times about the paradox of choice and how it applies to dating. If people have 20 jams to pick from they'll try 2 and not buy any due to analysis paralysis. If there's 2 flavors they'll try 2 and are much more likely to buy one.

They're just reaching an age where fertility is becoming an issue, and since women like to have men at their level, if they're wealthy and have their lives together themselves, their standards will naturally be higher.

A lot of the time the more feminist men aren't white. Conservatives are overwhelmingly white men whereas women tend to be more liberal. Second, young White men tend to vote differently than young people as a whole, and if past trends persist they could be swing voters in the 2020 general election. According to CIRCLE’s 2016 post-election poll, young White men ages 18-24 preferred Donald Trump to Hillary Clinton in 2016 by 22 percentage points, whereas young White women, young women of color, and…

We're messy af and live with the bare minimum. Like some men are good at trying to be fit. But their rooms are the bare minimum with tvs on boxes and a single folding chair not even an Ottoman. Two laundry bins one for clean clothes and nothing folded. There are a lot of older women who go after younger guys these days. Like guys usually outnumber girls at clubs so they'll hit on older women. And there's a front page post on datingoverthirty of a 37 year old woman bragging about how her mid 20 coworkers hit on her not realizing her age so she'll go after younger men. Still more 37 year old men going after 24 year old women though and more 24 year old women open to that.

32M here. 23 year old girls don't interest me for LTR and I think I'm pretty childish. Like I know divorce rates are higher in these relationships and a bad marriage is worst case scenario. I also care what people would think if I told them I were dating someone 9 years younger. And I'm not sure about kids anymore but it feels like early to mid 20 girls ar…

Research shows that sex releases oxytocin, the "love hormone" that mothers get when pregnant or during labor. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8360917 I think if a guy is willing to sleep with a woman they're more likely to form attachment to that woman. Obviously there's guys who don't and keep promising every girl that they're looking for a long term until after sex. But my point is that usually after sex it doesn't matter that the makeup is off, the guy has formed attachment.

It could be why women are rated more accurately society wide than the other way around. Women take much better photos and makeup means that men will rate a less attractive woman higher if she's good with makeup (camera angles and filters too). Like maybe if women took photos like men and wore just as little makeup 80% would've been rated below average on that okcupid data blog.

Overweightness is considered unhealthy weight and differs by gender. For instance 25% or even 30% bodyfat for women is just barely fine but 30% is obese for men. In America obesity is a big problem for both genders. Basically what you're saying is already factored in.

I think it's because guys have a lower bar for sex and sex leads to relationships and sex with fatter people leads to you liking fatter people Whereas most fit women won't have sex with an obese guy so they never develop that attraction for them. Sex itself may not be bad but modern morality is against lying because it harms people and harming people causes revenge which can be bad for society. If someone gets hurt they can fight back and then you can end up with fewer members in a tribe. So we made up rules to strengthen tribes. We're also morally and legally against rape and many are morally against large age gaps, cheating, and grooming.

I think the guy who gets settled on in his 30s does usually get desired, and more so later. It's a secondary attraction. Unfortunately for people without primary attractiveness, that's the first filter people use. Tinder killed personality based dating apps years ago because most people only cared about looks.

Biology makes it so no one wants their son to be unable to have kids. If a woman has a son with a short or ugly man, the son will likely be short or ugly. Then other women won't want the son. Then her genes don't get passed down. Socialization does come from lots of places. And yes, this should affect people who don't want kids too.

I was watching love is blind Japan on Netflix. One of the girls said that she went on the show because every guy she's ever dated before was just because he was attractive. She'd be arguing with the guy over something and she said she'd look at him and be like "nevermind he's so attractive". Have you seen guys get away with stuff like this because they're attractive? I've also heard of guys who let their SAH wives (no kids) squander a 500k salary on 30k/month shopping and luxury cars. Presumably…

I think it's ok to acknowledge working 40 hours a week for most of your after education life, with 2-3 weeks vacation a year sucks, but people should still try to do it. You need money to live. Just like getting ghosted and having fewer matches than you'd like sucks but I do think it's possible to compete barring really shitty genetics.

Misogyny and Misandry are both accepted within their own communities. Misogyny might get reported and taken down like some reddit subs. Right, so the guy on the right doesn't have the ab definition most women consider ideal today as without flexing that's a 1 pack. And neither one has the required muscle definition standing without flexing in their thighs. Hard to say how much of that is modern exercise and diet. Also obviously these guys workout like it's a part time job which most guys can't do.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/09/23 07:42 PM

The thing is though women like muscles that can be naturally attained. If you go fully natural and only lift weights at the gym multiple times a week, you will end up with a frame that women like. Do you know exactly what muscles can be naturally obtained though? Almost everyone in Hollywood uses PEDs. But some could be naturally obtained if you have the right genes and workout very frequently. I've only recently started to learn exactly what's obtainable without steroids.

Firstly language. Secondly finding work. The job market is oversaturated at entry level. More so for remote work. A recruiter told me it's like 10% remote now. I see a lot of moves to hybrid atm. Third time zones. Fourth just not having all the amenities one is used to or friends and family nearby. You're gonna want to be fit too. SEA girls do notice overweightedness in men, more than girls in the west imo. Slightly overweight in the US is like obese there. Height matters too, but if you're weal…

A lot of women won't have kids with someone who won't marry so if you want kids it's necessary. Even if you have a kid out of wedlock you have to pay child support in case of a breakup. The justification I've heard is that it's a commitment. You spend a lot of money and face (if it's in front of friends and family) on the wedding and the rings and any bride gifts. If a divorce is initiated they lose all that "investment" Divorce stats are far lower under certain conditions like income or educati…

Government doesn't want more kids growing up with a single mother who can't afford to provide the child with an equal education or healthcare. Those kids provide less to the economy. Not using taxpayer money, besides looking inhumane, is just worse for the government later on when they have to deal with more homelessness and crime.

We were in an open space with like no other groups in the tables right next to us. Everyone was drinking. They came up and sat at the table next to us after we got there and started drinking. Most of us do have other options but we're lazy. Improving your physique and finances will make it so you don't need escorts or strippers even if you're 5'6" but it looks like people here don't want to hear it. On topic who cares what society thinks? Certainly not the guys who use escorts or strippers. Also in Asia there's hostess clubs and karaokes where a girl will pretend to be interested in you. Doesn't interest me though. Doubt it'd help my confidence since I'd know it's fake.

I think the 60% is off. Pew hasn't issued a correction but I've seen other data of theirs saying it's closer to 36% I believe the 63% or whatever was from 2015 which is weird since it went down a lot in 2018 and 2021 iirc but was also high in 2009

I'm starting to not trust pews other stats after seeing some inconsistencies in their data. Like there's large swings in this exact stat in 2009, 2012, 2015, 2018, and 2021. I believe the 68 or whatever stat came from 2015. And I've also seen other stats from pew showing that it's closer to 36%/39%

Of course Zuckerburg isn't attractive in our eyes nor was he rich when they met. Maybe he's not a good example. I'm sure Bezos', Musk's, and Trump's newest wives think they've married up. I will point out that Trump remarried younger. lol. He's rich enough that his first wife doesn't speak out against him though (I'm sure part of the divorce settlement was contingent on her not speaking ill of him and him providing her with money for their kids). I'd like to see the age gap of couples and marriages. A lot of men are fine dating someone younger for sex but I suspect many would rather marry someone of their standing. Your data is for couples living together which is a commitment closer to the marriage side. 2 of Trump's wives were like 20 years younger. I'm sure that helps normalize the relationship for conservatives when they see him with his 24 year younger ex model wife.

A lot of the guys on this sub are conservative and want a traditional style relationship where women pop out babies and in their minds are available for sex when they come home from work. They're not representative of the overall more liberal groups your age.

Some apps have age filters. So like on hinge or okc girls would often put that they wanted a guy much older than them. I've seen many girl's profiles that were like 25 looking for 30-40. It does happen "intentionally" but I think more often it's unconscious. Like say a girl gets hit on by 2 guys in 1 day. The first one is her age and doesn't have a car or his own place yet or the money to take her on vacations, go on nice dates, and to dress well. The second one does but is fatter and balder. Sh…

I think a big issue is that the younger person, usually the girl, will change much more from age 20-30 than the man will from 40-50. She may want to travel or experience sex with someone who's not fat and has more stamina and energy as well as a higher libido and lower refractory period. I'd argue the men in these relationships have already started losing their looks and that's evident in how like the average 35 year old guy has started suffering from hair loss or is already bald. I agree most o…

Also he's wealthy. The attractive mugshot guy I think you're referencing is a literal walking meme like that gigachad guy. I think the big tip is to consider how 43% of over 20 year olds in America are obese. This isn't a big thing in your early to mid 20s but in your 30s there are so many obese people left on the market. If you're young be aware that many of the people you hear commentary from here are obese. "American women are a lost cause. You could maybe get good sex but real companionship requires real people. I've said it already since this topic gets brought up a lot but you need sentience for companionship and once AI gets sentient the world changes drastically such that relationships are a small concern.

I think signs of lifestyle creep become an issue. If she's interested in buying designer bags and the only thing stopping her is not enough wealth at the moment then that's going to become a point of contention later on in a relationship. If they make more than me and buy designer bags it's less of an issue as long as that doesn't actually cause a lack of savings. If they make income now but intend to become a housewife with no kids that's also going to cause resentment. I make enough but it's s…

I think you're finding a rationalization for the data but it's impossible to prove. Every study has limitations and people can draw their own conclusions. What I've noticed however is that for instance the vast majority of women don't like Asian guys and the vast majority of men won't date black women. There are studies on how race plays into attractiveness to corroborate what I've seen. Attractiveness in looks is standardized across women just as much as men.

I would've loved for the social experiment to see if the women would've gone on a second date had they still thought the guy was fat. They might've just been nice to him. Also it's a sample size of like 5.

When men rated women they had a bell curve around 50% being above average. So they're accurately rating women. It's true some women might like beards and some might not and therefore a non bearded guy might get a girlfriend. Or another guy might be bald and a lot of girls don't mind a bald look as long as he shaves it all of. But it's the same for guys. Some don't want a girl taller than them. Some don't want a fat girl and others desire thickness. Ethnicity plays a large part too.

Don't break your rules just because the guy is conventionally hot. Does he need to have a career? Does there need to be any mutual interests? Does he need to know the sun is bigger than the earth? If you're gonna filter by this stuff be consistent. I just don't think our current version of sexbots: tenga toys and blowup dolls is anywhere near what you want from a relationship. They don't offer realistic companionship, you need sentience for that and by the time AI becomes sentient our whole world will dramatically change. I didn't think we'd get convincing AI conversations capable of writing articles yet either but chatgpt kinda came out of nowhere for a lot of us.

It's the secretary problem in effect. Society has progressed to a point where more and more women work and don't need a man to survive. So they don't need to marry young. I think that progression is a good thing and I'd rather women can and do work. There's arguments that women misread who they're able to fuck and who they're able to settle down with when applying the secretary problem. But that's a problem with delusion rather than the fundamental logic. There are those at 24 who've had more se…

A lot of men try to gain status or build muscle to attract women I think exercise and improvement is often for the self. So the premise is flawed. And if you want a relationship you have to go out and look for one as a guy. Girls don't ask you out 95% of the time. Men aren't too fixated either. They play video games and watch anime even if far fewer girls do and it's not something many girls want in a partner. Some guys focus too much on it but not all.

I think the marriage age gap is lower than the dating one. 21 year old girls might not go for 30 year old guys but 25 year old girls might. They consider themselves "mature for their age". Nearly four in ten (39%) have previously dated someone with an age difference of 10+ years. Men are more likely to have dated someone 10+ years younger than them compared to women (25% vs. 14%). Meanwhile, women are more likely to have dated someone 10+ years older than them compared to men (28% vs. 21%). I sa…

If you're an Asian guy, you'll probably only be able to date Asian girls. You're expected to pay for every date till marriage or breakup. I know a guy who paid his girlfriend, same age as him, similar career but earning less than him, a monthly allowance. It's not even uncommon. After marriage it's joint account which is pretty fair though very trusting. Because then if you stop earning as much because of financial hardships which seem to happen often even for wealthy people, or lifestyle creep surpasses your earning potential then it leads to an expensive divorce. That and you're constantly under pressure to earn more due to lifestyle creep. I've been reading a few posts on /r/divorce where men have to pay half their salary for kids that weren't even their own. These were, in their own words, wealthy loyal men.
