You’re talking about two different things: being overly sensitive might be detrimental in the long run, but being sentimental is fine and even a good thing! Based on the example you gave, however, it doesn’t seem like either of those things is your problem. It sounds like you have low confidence, and that’s something you improve by 1) faking it till you make it and 2) setting and achieving goals for yourself so you discover your true capabilities over time and become confident in your abilities.

Honestly never bringing up other girls can be amazing so long as she thinks you’re seeing other girls. I’m quite busy with work and wrapping up uni, and I like to have as much of a social life as possible, so it’s rare I have more than 1-2 plates at a time. I was in your shoes until I really took TRP to heart. I’m in undergrad. I spent one semester in Monk Mode (well, almost) to deal with my mental health issues, get in shape, and move forward in my career. I got a lot closer to my ideal version of myself. It's key to note that is by no means the only quality you should look for. If a girl I find unattractive starts hitting on me, I'm not going to think "Oh, she's showing interest, let's fuck her!"
