Yeah I don't think that the man is a hero thing is a healthy mentality to be feeding boys or girls. To men for the reasons that the commentor posted and that it makes them feel less than manly if they aren't a hero , and to girls because it says that they can't be heros and that men have to save them. sort of like with barbie or other "feminine ideals" girls see everyday. There is nothing wrong with being a beautiful housewife, but it can tell girls that they are less than women if they aren't. …

I'm not going to argue with somebody who is incapable of forming an argument without calling names and being insulting.

I understand what you are saying. It's hard to really grasp how much of an affect it has on girls to read these sexist stories to them. It's not really something you can measure but I think it's an interesting conversation. If you want to argue that they are oppressive of men or show them in a bad light, you should figure out a better argument than the one that you gave your teacher the other day. Evil characters aren't all men, I don't have exact numbers but I'd say they are maybe half the time…

Are you saying these stories aren't sexist anymore because society is no longer sexist?

You can argue all you want about if women are still oppressed now or if there is a patriarchical society but you really cant deny that when these fairytales were told it was a sexist time. Most fairy tales have incredibly submissive women and are very sexist toward women- that was the time they came from. It seems kind of ridiculous to argue differently. The heros are almost always men, women are almost always subissive, and the bad guy is only about half the time a man. Wicked witches and evil …

Yeah most fairytales I can think of have an evil women (probably around half) and the womens roles are very submissive. You can argue if women are oppressed now (and thats not an argument i want to have) but there is no way to get around the fact that when these fairytales originated the society they came from was very sexist and most of them are very sexist toward women (even if they have bad men in them too).

Facebook rarely takes reports seriously regardless of gender or whatever is being reported.

Did you really just equate being a man to being a black man in the south pre-civil rights?

Yes, but for some woman it is. THat might just be how her body works, for me i can have sex without oral, but the oral before makes me much more turned on and it makes it SO MUCH better. I seriously do not think that she is demanding oral to make you mad or to make it like an exchange of services. I think she is just becasue it makes sex better for her, and when sex is better for her its also better for you.

Maybe she is demanding it, because she felt she wasn't getting what she wanted without it. I truley think that if you do give her oral (happily not grudgingly) without her asking it will become better for you.

I don't understand why her wanting oral if she gives it makes you upset.

If OP's needs are having a GF who is "down to have sex whenever" (most of the time without giving her any oral or making sure she was satisfied) and give him period BJs with nothing in return, then I think he is going to have trouble finding any girl who will happily meet those needs.

To me, she doesn't feel entiteled to anything but equality, but that OP is the one who feels entitled. OP is the one who was "pissed off" because "Then she wouldn't give me BJ's, etc. unless I went down on her". That along with him being angry that she wont give him period blow-jobs definitely makes OP seem like the one who feels entitled.

She isn't being unreasonable. OP said shes only asking for equal giving or receiving (its not like she is asking to receive more than she gives) and to recieve when they have sex. It doesn't seem demanding that if the actual sex is satisfying him then it should also satisfy her.

Her demands don't seem ridiculous to me. Ridiculous would be demanding oral sex and only giving every say 10 times, even 2 times. But that's not at all what your partner is doing. Reading this and your post in /r/sex all shes asking is to have EQUAL oral and satisfaction. equality is not ridiculous.

I think the reason shes being more demanding that it be like that now is that it wasn't before.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
