If you can't get respect from your spouse or a child, that's not on them. Prove yourself. If 'no kids' is a standard, that's fine. People are allowed to pick. But don't be sour and don't piss in everyone else's soup.

It's kinda a "self-aware wolves" thing to think that a men's group is hateful but the equivalent women's group isn't

It's something Top Gun: Maverick did really well. Have a diverse cast and just let it be normal

I also want it to go to all those things, but there's enough money in the defense budget and corporate bailouts (which are also private) to pay off student loans and medical debt while also bettering parks and roads. They have us arguing which of these we should have, when in reality we could have it all. We see this in many developed countries that have even less tax burden and even less people than the US, but enjoy more benefits.

Not at all. Do what you will with your own money. But it's safe to assume the vast majority aren't donating their disposable income to the struggling civil engineer next door. Hence taxes (and charitable tax write offs) do that donation for you. Taxes aren't your money, they're the public's money.

What makes one more important than the other? Who gets to decide who is worthy of help?

My college didn't teach me anything political. It was the hoops my friends had to jump through just to be there and the coin-counting to eat.

So is "war effort", but I like my taxes helping my neighbors

Do we prolong the suffering of the young to make the old feel better? Do we refund votes to the women who were 18+ before suffrage? I'm sorry the president when they were in college didn't push for loan forgiveness, but those free of debt aren't the ones suffering.

Courtesy, not a rule. Like holding a door or not farting on a subway

I think what you're doing is the best method. The facade only lasts so long. Or break the script. Jump the gun to see if you can throw him off.

Ah, didn't read the article, just knew the mex pesos. Thank you

The sign for pesos is $. It's a little confusing. Mxn$900,000 is around usd$45,000

Talk to her about it and be open and affirming

I don't wanna try her in the court of public opinion. I don't believe her, but it breaks down our system to decide before the courts do

Thankfully, I don't personally have this problem with my wife (yet?) But now that I have a good paying job and get to travel with my wife, a lot of exes are emerging from the wings. Also, women in other countries are very interested in my coworkers and I bc they know we have money when we go out

Ass, gas* or cash? Edit: I didn't know weed was an option, but I would prefer that as well

I mean, if it's like changing a flat or oil, sure. Lunch would be nice but whatever. But if I'm replacing your brakes or paying for any part of it... I mean, it's the implication.

This is, interestingly, how I didn't have to pay for college

That's how my catholic high school did seminars. 20 min sessions of all agreeing with eachother bc any dissenting opinions lost points and the teacher would jump in

I take hours to text back all the time. To me, it's only a few minutes. Just keep going, and bring it up if you ever get in a relationship. It's not enough to make a stink about right now and risk losing your chance.

I try to open with a real reason to message them. 'where was this?' 'how did you get that picture?' or something. Let conversation grow from there. You'll still fail, but it helps

Picnics are actually really cute and fun, plus very cheap. I've had some great dates where we go to an art museum but we parked a distance away and wandered the city a bit before we got there. We stopped for some street performers and pictures with art.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
