Keep your condescension to yourself. I've not once argued that there aren't biological differences between men and women. In fact, I've outright said that there are several times, pay attention. Sorry that you wasted so many links trying to prove a point that I never contended... I'm saying that your claim that value is objectively based on biology is patently false. It's subjectively based on genetics (biology) in your, stupid (in my subjective view) opinion. Look up value in the dictionary. Mi…

Holy shit this is a problem. Does anybody have a link to a news page or something addressing this that I can put in the vault of "identity politics run amok"?

You're right, these comments are getting ridiculously long. So let's start with this. I already said that my belief in equality is a subjective belief. People are equal because we DECIDE they're equal, my belief in equality is subjective too So, you're claiming that biology is the most important factor in someone's value. You're claiming that as an objective fact. I never said they carry no weight just that biology is a greater factor primarily because many of these are derived from it. So why d…

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. I think there was more focus on race than there was in gender in this one.

I already addressed this. It CAN be used for such but rarely is and almost every instance of this i have seen has been using it to side step the argument. In addition it is not necessary and you should be able to attack the argument on its own merit. Please pay attention. Keyboards CAN be used to bludgeon people do death. Rubber duckies CAN be used to melt down and make tires. Let's stick to what i DID use it for, pointing out statement that didn't track with previous statements (either calling …

No it is because people primarily use it as a way to use something they said to belittle, "discredit" and or insult them and ignore the argument...like i said. This is utter horseshit. If someone points out a stance you took recently that completely contradicts the stance you're taking now, it's not an insult or ignoring an argument. It's pointing out that you've already refuted your own argument. And discrediting is not a bad thing. If you have no consistency or integrity in what you say, then …

It largely depends on the field and LOCATION. I could move to one of 3-5 cities and double my salary. I think OP is giving a range of the median salaries of several different careers (for those breaking in), not the actual minimum for that field. As far as OPs question, that's largely personal. I chose the work/life balance, but some people would prefer the stress and extra spending power. You need to ask yourself what you would rather have right now. Time or money?

If reading what someone has said in the past can be used as a weapon against them, then they have no integrity. I wonder why you're so worried about it. I'm not here to argue who has it more fair. I'm arguing that the value of a person doesn't depend on what's between their legs. For better or worse. I think you need to read a bit more of Thomas Jefferson's views on equality before you try to educate others on it. The intention was definitely not just male land owners. Not upset just annoyed and…

Taking 2 minutes to read through some of someone's comment history is a way of learning about who you're talking to. If the point of a disagreement is to reach an agreement instead of shouting vitriol then it makes sense. The only way to lose a disagreement right away is to decide beforehand that you refuse to learn anything or empathize with the other side (what you're suggesting I do). No one here needs you shilling for women by pretending to want a open discussion. Look, if you think believin…

Damn, how am I gonna get out of that airtight logical trap? Maybe you should try reading more, it would help you to use your words.

Weird to edit this comment after my response instead of just continuing the thread, but okay. You added the second paragraph to insinuate that I'm white knighting, I'm assuming? That's a common tactic for people that are losing a debate or disagreement. They attack the character of the opponent directly, instead of the point they're making.

So women can have value, just not value that's unique to being a woman. That's good, for a bit there I thought you were just hating women in general instead of ignoring them and going your own way...

So at first I thought you were trolling me. So I started reading through your comment history. You had two female teachers that helped you with biology and algebra, right? Did that have value? Was their time and effort worth something in that instance? What about the other people they taught or helped? I think you're pretty close to being a nihilist at this point, but you don't have to have a belief system to observe the positive influence people *can* bring to each other's lives. The point of t…

but for all intents and purposes should be treated as such. Care to elaborate? You don't believe all people are equal? I think equity is stupid, but equality is something I think pretty much everybody can get behind. Am I mistaken here?

Create multiple accounts. Don't troll with them (obviously), but make 3. One with a conservative demeanor (this one for me), one with a progressive one, and one for silliness and jokes. I've found that if you're missing the third one someone will inevitably go through your history and pick a fight when you're not in the mood.

4th wave feminism openly advocates for equity, over equality. You can't achieve equity without inequality.

Feminism suffers from the same problem as BLM and a few other groups. All mankind is equal (not necessarily identical). Once you have that (I know very few men that disagree with that statement), you have no need for feminism. Also, feminism that seeks equality and not reparations is perfectly fine with most people. It's when you force it to be unfair the other way that folks get mad (3rd wave). The concept that all mankind is equal is not new, it's literally thousands of years old.

That seems intentionally reductionist to me. You could technically say my job is "pressing keys on a keyboard" and make me seem like I could be replaced by a trained monkey. I'm obviously not going to be replaced by a monkey, just AI in a decade or so. She obviously emotes more emotions than angry and indifferent, and the sole purpose of an actor/actress is to convey an emotion to better tell the story. However, you have pointed out something I hadn't realized (because I actually didn't spend mu…

I disagree, she's not beautiful, but she is a good actress. She emotes very well (mostly due to her eyebrows). I actually like the fact that she's popular because of her talent and not entirely appearance.
