I’ve been told by multiple victims advocates that you should ALWAYS file a police report. I’d look into finding out if there is a victims shelter or some other resources for your brother to check into. Victims rarely report abuse while it is happening, and it goes double if your a man. Your brother might not even know that what she is doing is abuse. Look up your local laws on domestic violence and I bet you’ll be surprised st what counts. Abuse is abuse.

I think parental alienation is considered child abuse in California (it isn’t in the state I live in. It should be). I’d keep documenting and gathering evidence as much as possible and talk with a lawyer. It might help to print out exactly what the parental alienation definition is, also look at your states definition of child abuse and domestic violence and see if your ex’s behavior toward you or the children also fall into this category. I’m guessing that there is some sort of DV happening. Al…

Thanks for the link. I’ll take a look now. Update: The article sites no sources for the claim to “Health Benefits of Circumcision”. Only three sources are cited in the article and are all used before getting to this topic.

I’d like to see the study. Part of me wonders if HIV is more prevalent in a part of the world where circumcision is NOT the norm, thus skewing results to show circumcised men are less likely to get HIV.

You’re fortunate that you are in a position to get out now and that the public is becoming more aware that men are victims of domestic violence. Read this article. 64 signs your in an abusive relationship. This was very eye opening to me, and as I read this I watched my marriage dissolve. This article describes my wife to a T. https://www.healthline.com/health/signs-of-mental-abuse

This is very true. Unfortunately she is doing everything she can to take away my rights to see and be with my kids. I’ll spend everything I have if it means keeping my kids in my life.

The world would be a better place if everyone followed the “do no harm” principle. It shouldn’t matter race, religion, gender, ethnicity etc. people are people and deserve to be treated with respect.

We filed for divorce as my job was ending so I took a new job which pays about 50% of the one I had. I agreed to maintain the house payment for a few months so she could either get qualified to buy me out or we sold it. That was 3 months ago, and I’m still paying on it (temporary order until the divorce is finalized) because surprise surprise, she hasn’t gotten herself qualified.

You should talk to a lawyer in your local area ASAP. I’m in the middle of an ugly divorce. We are getting divorced in a state we lived in for 9 months, not the one we lived in for 10 years. Depending on where you live and for how long will determine where the court proceedings take place. She can’t just move to another state and file for custody. Talk to a lawyer and get your kid back. Sorry you’re experiencing this.

I was abused too. Thanks to this group I found some resources for help and have now filed police reports for her abuse.

I think a link to any study would be useful as I would be able to present it as evidence, not just my opinion.

Thank you for your support. Honestly I want shared custody because that is what research shows is best for the kids. They should have both parents involved in their lives.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
