Honestly not sure what you mean anymore

I get that women are more selective. They want a winner. But — to use the Olympics since it was so recent — do they only desire men in the podium or any one that’s meaningfully competing? I just wonder if the same natural drive men have to “be the best” has men misapplying that to the female psyche as well. Men are more competitive than women. Does this have me applying that same competitive thinking to women? It’s
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/26 08:35 PM

There seems to be an impression that women only want the top men. What evidence is there for that?

I find this to be a weak argument. A user here demonstrated that women get regular guys when making dating apps when he made a fake profile. This is yet another example of what women say not matching men’s reality. We hear how bad guys are but we see all our friends and people we know are good, regular people struggling with girls. Meanwhile we also see hot and shitty guys never having an issue. There have been studies done that identify misogynistic men actually have higher success dating than …

If you’re Not even American I don’t give a shit. I’m not even convinced you identity freaks weren’t deployed by Wall Street to kill the left. Class will always matter infinitely more than identity.

What? Whoever said culture doesn’t affect anything. Your argument only makes sense if I said women have never produced good art. They have. Lots of it. But pound for pound men dominate. And black people have much stronger claims to historical oppression than women. For example women wrote plenty of novels in the 1800s. How many black Americans did?

Black Americans? Because they don’t have a culture that’s interested in most forms of art. Now music? They sure have a lot of that. More important than white Americans even some would say.

I never said bad at music. Anyway have a good life. At least you don’t believe the oh so oppressed bullshit. I can respect that

Other than Austen and the Brontes it’s like all men. And Anna Karenina has my vote for the best. I will say Jane Eyre is probably second. Wuthering Heights is not a romance book and it’s only now being construed that way. I will grant you that novels are probably the best showing from women. Music and film they get absolutely hosed in.

What? My thesis is in my very first post. Women aren’t passionate in the way men are, or they have more trouble expressing it in art than men do. I never said women are stupid and you being obtuse like that shows how bad faith your arguing is.

It’s definitely fascinating that some women replied to me arguing that women were never allowed to be artists and that’s why there is less great art from them (which is bullshit), but here you are arguing that in fact women did make most of the great romances. How interesting. Anyway, idk what you define as a classic romance so Idk where to start.

Sounds like a personal issue. Countless female painters in the 20th century. Imagine that a woman allowing herself to be abused by a terrible man… was probably hot or had a big dick though. Slay wueen!

Yes both men and women have had obstacles to creating art. Women’s obstacles have often been gendered. Yet plenty of great women broke through like the Brontes. None of this reflects on the 20th century and beyond when women had increasingly less of a barrier (and today when it’s men who have a gendered barrier and not women). Despite those obstacles we still had Alcott and tbhe Brontes and fucking Murasaki Shikibu. Great artists find a way. Women tend to have that greatness less than men. That …

Whatever you say man. Women had plenty of power to create great art in the 20th century. Some great women artists came out of that era. I don’t see porn as art so. Glad you do but I’m not interested in disputing its relevancy to this conversation. Nicholas sparks wrote the notebook and a man directed it…lol And Wurhering Heights is a Victorian novel. And a dammed good one. Once again a stain against the idea that women could not produce art until last week. The Brontë sister managed to do it and…

Romantic art is already a limited genre. Most men and women aren’t working on it. But a contemporary great of that variety is Atonement. Actually rather difficult to think of anything besides that that will endure. The 20th century is more established.

The extent of women being kept out of art is vastly exaggerated. It doesn’t matter anyway because even today and over the last century it’s still men dominating great art and especially romantic art. Women meanwhile are into Minotaur sex adventure stories. True romance ofc

Myth. Plenty of art was created by women. Modern story after story dates pretty much to the Renaissance where women had access.

Myth. Plenty of women artists throughout the ages.

Common myth and not true at all. Women have contributed some great works of art it just hasn’t been romance

When more than a handful of women can produce the work that countless great male artists make then I’ll believe them. Men just have a passion women cannot access. Maybe they have it too but cannot express it. Either way it means men are more romantic.

Pretty obvious. Most great romantic art has been made by men.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/03/26 05:31 AM

Significantly harder and for the vast majority of people sex is tied to love
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/26 11:32 PM

No they disrupt your sexual function which in turn makes it harder to feel love. Sex is a powerful tool for falling in love.

It’s a combination of those things. And lots of research is out on how bad those drugs fuck women up on average. Your specific case is great but irrelevant.

I agree with you but I think we’re entering a new reality where a lot of younger people are less able to feel love and seduction and the immense eroticism within true love. I believe this is due to modern conditions, most notable widespread SSRI and birth control, social media and an increasingly image based society, the massive expansion of dating pools, pornography being ubiquitous (incl the abundant soft core porn on social media), dominant forms of feminism, and an overall pessimistic and ni…

The truth is that a combination of feminism, social media, and widespread SSRI and birth control usage has altered women’s sexuality into a demonic and bizarre state.

He mentioned the difference between the percentages of young men and women in relationships. What say you to that?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/02/26 09:36 PM

You’re really not arguing against anything he said. In particular the loneliness statistics of young men. Tens of millions of more young me in America are failing to find relationships and sex vs. young women. What he’s espousing is called “comphet” which is short for compulsive heterosexuality in women. You can Google this for a more rigorous approach to the topic (and without his understandably emotional language). In general this subreddit has fallen way behind where the current debate and th…

Never heard this in my life man. Think it’s far from settled…lol. I think most guys on apps are desperate for anything can’t imagine them filtering much younger than they are
/r/PurplePillDebate07/02/26 03:28 PM

Is this satire? I ask because I’ve literally never seen a guy age filter like that but so many guys are up in arms about height filters
/r/PurplePillDebate07/02/26 03:20 PM

This is a simple one. Women rarely see men they are viscerally attracted to. For men it’s happening constantly. In my five minute walk to work I easily register dozens of attractive women. You have to consider the stuff about variety and age in this lens. The difference to a 30 year old man between a hot 22 year old and a hot 28 year old is minimal. And that’s if we’re going purely on looks. Odds are he’d enjoy hanging with the woman closer to his age anyway. Variety doesn’t mean great variety l…
