As far as I'm concerned, Vogue's readership consists of mostly women, so I have no problem with Vogue trying to appeal to their base. However, in this sense they're the outliers. No other women's national team in the world draws bigger crowds than their male counterparts. The biggest differences are FIFA payments and TV deals. As for the legal arguments USSF presented, I think the stronger argument would have been different pay structures of WNT and MNT. Men get paid on pay-per-play basis, so I suppose they're kind of independent contractors.
