Nofap is "supposedly" to help with masturbation addicts and just increase discipline/focus on important things. Nofap November is more a friendly competition type thing to see who could do it. It's like eating the spiciest wings or a pie eating contest.

If you don't mind could you help specify why? I'm married and make 65K my wife makes about 60K and our tax bracket stayed the same when we got married. We don't have children and the only real benefit we've seen is sharing benefits/insurance and being each other's beneficiary.

Well I mean things like that come up in conversation usually by accident or unintendedly. That's how people find out about their husbands doing x more with past partners or wives being interested in y before they settled down. But no one should stay in a relationship where they aren't treated how they feel they should or as someone who isn't special. I agree. I think this is what many of the men here are trying to say but there is a misunderstanding on the wording and definitions because of how …

Genuinely, by how they treat you compared to how you think you should be treated and how they treated others in the past. People usually put effort into things they find important and are lazy about things they think will always be there or are disposable. In general though, if someone isn't being treated the way they think they should be, or finds out they are a 2nd choice, I think they should leave the relationship. What's hard is that this discovery usually happens later on in the relationshi…

I totally agree men are socialized to believe that they have this provider role because that’s what society has constructed for them. It screws them. Men need to stop holding on so hard to “what it means to be a man” and take agency for themselves. Fair warning, I'm going to blather on a bunch because this is actually something I'm super passionate about. That's the thing though, from my experience and how I feel personally, men LOVE being a provider and protector. It's semi hardwired into us to…

why did you even go on a second date with this person For men, it's usually a combination of lack of options and rose colored glasses. Abusive relationships come in all shapes and sizes and men wanting to be "the rock" / "the corner stone" tend to think it's best to just man up and take it. he doesn’t leave his socks all over the floor and puts away his laundry. It’s incredibly sad the amount of men who can’t even do that. I think it's a difference in discipline and prioritization of what's impo…

I think it's because the women who comment here tend to be more "successful" from what I've gathered. So what you're looking for in a husband is a best friend who you find hot and reliable. Outside of this subreddit there are women who really just want someone reliable and will tolerate sex with someone they don't find attractive because they benefit from the relationship.

Here to hop on the band wagon too. My wife and I started out as FWBs and I wanted something more. Together 8 years, married for over 3.

I think I understand where the misunderstanding is. I think myself and person before were talking about normal bad qualities, not those qualities turned up to 11. If he had bad enough hygiene that he wanted to hang out in poopy underwear and flies surrounding him, I wouldn't want to hang out with him either. Also I don't think we were talking about someone who NO ONE should date, but just friends who have qualities that would normally disqualify themselves from being in a romantic relationship l…

I'm not really sure what you mean by marketplace. The main thing I'm trying to say is that qualities that exclude someone from being desirable doesnt neccesarily make them a bad friend.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/08/21 04:39 PM
10

Because the quality that makes them a shitty candidate to a woman doesnt affect me as a friend. One of my closest friends I've known for over 25 years (who I can say I love) is 5'4" and obese. He also still lives at home with his mom, cant cook, cant clean, cant drive, has bad hygiene, and does make much money. None of those things affect how much fun we have when we play games or go out together. Sometimes he makes faux pas, but hes still a fun friend and pretty loyal.

I think you're misunderstand the purpose of the numbers. The numbers don't define the person as a whole, they are supposed to define how attractive they are in your opinion.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/21 05:50 PM

Using numbers and using words can be interchangeable. Saying Average, Above Average, Cute, Pretty, Beautiful/Handsome, Gorgeous. Is almost the same as saying 5,6,7,8,9,10. It's easier to compare numbers than it is words because most of those words can be used as synonyms so their means gets muddled. I think people just don't like numbers because it feels impersonal to them.

As a guy who kind of understands where you're coming from I might be able to help you understand the male point of view. You're correct that both genders view some partners as spouse material and some as only good for sex. The difference is that guys sexually desire both and demonstrate that to their partner. Guys want to be desired by women (including sexually desired), especially the person they want a LTR from. One of the ways they feel that demonstrated is by the woman they are seeing active…

At 5'4'' (average height) with average woman muscle mass (I'm assuming you don't weight train). 150 is in overweight and close to obese. 180 is obese. Gallery of women who are 5'4'' 145 lb ( couldn't find 150 so imagine more on them) https://app.mybodygallery.com/#/?height=163&weight=68 Notice how most of them are overweight and have visible fat. Some look better than others but that's because of fat distribution and actually weight training. This is at 180. https://app.mybodygallery.com/#/?heig…

Well, just because we both haven't been with other partners doesn't mean that we would be sexually ignorant of everything. I'm assuming we both know sex education and have some outside sexual experience information (stories from others, porn, blogs, etc..). In my scenario we are both putting in effort and satisfying each other's sexual needs so we are each other's steak. While the idea of a Big Mac is from our outside heard/seen experiences. I.e. Have you ever gone somewhere with a couple and th…

Absolutely. She sells clothes/makeup etc. Not only does her "#eff your beauty standards slogan" appeal to fat women. She sells the "perfect" version of an obese woman because all her pictures are photoshopped to all hell. They edit out her cellulite, they round her rolls, they smooth out all the wrinkles in her fat, they amplify the makeup she's already wearing, and even make her thinner in some places.

Yes, as long as she was actually interested in sex and willing to explore what she likes. If we can fully fulfill each other's sexual needs, there's no need for prior (sexual) partners. Eating a perfect NY strip 1000x > Eating 1000 different Fast food burgers.

The amount of female furries is surprisingly high. I have friends in that lifestyle and more than a few are a bit more than curious about animal genitalia. Not saying they have actually done it but they do fantasize about it.

I think OP is describing it wrong. It's not an elimination of personality, but more akin to being completely enamoured by someone so much you put their needs/wants first. Of course the guy should contribute too and make sure not to take advantage of the situation. It's like simping but without the one sidedness of the relationship. It's one of the nicest feelings and how I think at least how guys want to be desired.

https://1in6.org It happens more often then you think. I've been groped by a few people in my life. Stuff like a female coworker who wouldn't take no for an answer and grabbed my dick on multiple shifts. Another was a gay friend of a friend who thought he would compliment me by groping me. And another time I was coerced/forced into sex I didn't want by a feminist ex-gf. I did not enjoy any of those moments but they didn't really shake me up. I love my wife, been with her for 6 years(29 now). Moved from my home town to hers because CoL would allow us to have a better life. Big boned/small boned doesn't really exist(not in the way people use it), but bone structure does differ with genetics, which is why Asians tend to be less curvy than other ethnicities. Some people will never have a 26 inch waist no matter how much they weigh because of genetics, but having a 35 inch one is purely on the person overeating. There's so many little extra things that could be said about this, that I've rewritten this comment about 3 times.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/06/18 09:08 PM

Different ethnicities have different BMI standards. The Asian BMI chart is shifted lower than the American/European BMI chart. This is because Asians usually have smaller frames, and usually suffer from obesity related complications at a lower weight than other ethnicities.
