So I use to be into twin flames and soulmates and I realize now how toxic and hurtful twin flames can be. This woman I knew would say that she couldn’t let this guy go because they were soulmates or twin flames. When I tried to tell her otherwise, that he’s just toxic for her, she never listened. As far as I know, over a year later she’s still pining over a man she’s never been romantic with and he’s still practically ignoring her. Be wary ladies, you could be stuck in this type of relationship …

I’m almost positive Ted Bundy use to think like that because I remember reading in an interview that he loved killing because it made him important. That it made it so he was the last one she thought of. This guy is a psychopath. He clearly shows the signs of someone dangerous, it’ll only be soon until he does something.

I could just type like lol on here and I’d probably get hate. As soon as I comment, my email notification from Reddit is flooded with angry comments from men that thankfully get deleted by the bot but damn do they find/comment quick. You think they’d have better things to do 😂

I absolutely agree with this vetting strategy. I’ve dated many men who seemed caring but then when I was sick or in a time of need, they would say like “that sucks” and just ignore me all day. When I already feel sick that clear neglect for my feelings and well being only adds on to me being upset This way you can easily cut out the men who would not be there for you when you’re in a vulnerable state. I’m 100% gonna be using this when I start to date again.

100% this. I didn’t realize how bad male hygiene was specifically in America when I was younger until I became involved with Korea in particular. A pretty big majority of the men there are more physically attractive because they’re well-groomed. They do not find having a skincare regimen unmanly or whatever because guess what? It’s not. I know there’s plenty of jokes out there like “haha, I stayed over and all he had was dial soap and 3-1 crusty shampoo” but in actuality, it’s embarrassing. 3-1 …

Yuppp. Thought if I just put it perfectly, if I just expressed how it felt, maybe he’d understand. Maybe this would be the thing to get him to understand and change. I think I knew deep down they understood but just didn’t care. I really wasted my time, energy and breath on constructing paragraphs that wouldn’t hurt his feelings and to make it easy to understand. I really was breaking down communication with grown ass men like I was teaching kindergarten. No wonder they say men are childish 💀

Yess toxic positivity is the worst. You don’t have to forgive if you’re not ready and anyone who forces you to forgive is because they’re looking for relief of guilt

Yesss they are, they can easily trick a woman with low self esteem or new to dating hence why I wanted to make sure some red flags were out there to be known!

They really do! They’re great at keeping up that act which is why I find the tip in the handbook about waiting months to be vulnerable is soo helpful

I remember this one guy I talked to said his ex was toxic and controlling because she didn’t like him being around other women who were just his friends. Well, I learned just how opposite that was when I I learned how in love with his best friend he was but expected me to like him and be okay with it lmaooo. He was incredibly toxic and would have that best friend write his text messages in any argument with me I learned later. Now I’m the crazy ex and he’s the 🤡 I definitely dodged a bullet. Las…

Yesss. Like, they’re writing what they need to do and ignoring it. It’s usually because they’re looking for courage to make the right decision but men and pickmes terrible advice can really get into the head of an insecure woman. JuSt CoMmuNIcaTe wiTh hiM. This grown ass man knows wtf he’s doing and what he should do, He just doesn’t care about you. Like, it makes me cringe because you are begging a grown ass man for basic attention and communication. This is absolutely true in my experience. I remember years ago when I had to get screening for potential cancer (I didn’t have it though so all good!) my nvex told me he didn’t know if he could handle it. That me going through these tests was too much for him. When I tried to explain imagine how I felt, he was like Yeah but it’s much more draining on me to hear about it and support you Like, what?? The more I learn and comment on this subreddit, the more I realize how many terrible men I dated i…

The fucking audacity. He’s so scared to be confronted face to face with it, he also waits until they’re in a different city. Nahhh, he’s a penny pincher. 🙄

Oh, I absolutely agree. If anything, I don’t recommend using OLD at all as stated in my last paragraph. Finding a man isn’t important at all, I think everyone should just focus on leveling up and loving themselves. 💜 But if someone really is gonna use OLD, I recommend it over the other ones for vetting.

Oh yeah, definitely use it with a grain of salt. It’s definitely like sorting through garbage 😂 But imo it gives the best vetting option if someone is gonna use OLD. Definitely always be cautious, vetting never stops.

It’s definitely boosted my self-esteem and given me great boundaries to set in my life. I cut off friends who were toxic or ambivalent, I cut off situationships and men I was entertaining in general, I started realizing my worth, I can’t watch the or listen to music without seeing the difference now. All of this since January lmao. It just all clicked for me. It was the thing I was searching for years when trying to set boundaries but couldn’t. Suddenly, I knew how to. I had the confidence and s…

Oh my god, yesss. So, I’m a writer who’s going to publish her first book hopefully this year so I obviously love talking about writing. My last relationship a couple years ago, I met this guy who told me he was a writer for various websites and such. I got excited and it was something we bonded over because writing is important to me. As the relationship went on, I found it odd he never shared his works like I did, even if I asked but the pickme in me just brushed it off even though I found it o…

This is a great post! FDS literally just advocates vetting potential partners/people in your life so you don’t have low level people that bring you down and how to be happy/level up on your own. It advocate that’s it’s better to be alone than in a dusty toxic relationship. That we don’t need a relationship to be happy and if we do get into one? They’ll be hvm who match or exceed our expectations. They’re literally angry about that. Like, projection at its finest. 😂 Ever since I’ve found FDS, the…

To add on to the only fans thing, if you still are considering it, take it from someone who’s done sex work in her pickme days. Do not do it. It was the most degrading thing I’ve ever done. I did it because at the time I needed money but it was disgusting. It was all online but it didn’t make it any less worst. The guys saw me as an object who had to bid to what he wanted no matter if I was busy. I felt disgusting, I felt gross because it was prostitution plain and simple. I worried that my pict…

Oh my god, 100% yes to people saying that you having boundaries is controlling what others do. When I stumbled across this place in January, as I’ve mentioned before, it was like everything clicked for me. I started making strict boundaries not just with relationship vetting but also with friends. It’s when I put up these boundaries that “my friend’s” true side came out. People started getting angry saying I was telling others to pick a side by cutting them out or that I’m too difficult to date,…

I’m so sorry that happened to you and I’m sorry that you’re being gaslit on the other post. It doesn’t matter what they think about it, it’s your boundary and it’s valid. And for anyone who thinks porn is okay especially in this instance doesn’t have a worthwhile opinion anyways. 🙄 We’re all here for you. It’ll take some time to heal but you got this 💕

100% trash. I remember in my pickme days a few years ago, I did it with an ex because he wouldn’t stop begging me for it. It didn’t matter I was crying and in pain while he was doing it because all that mattered to him is that he enjoyed it. They do not care as long as they’re getting pleasure. They’ll push your boundaries with these jokes, with these offhand comments to see what they can get away with. It’s gross.

Oh my god girl, you made such the right choice. The second I read that he met a girl and on Discord of all places? I knew. Discord is, in my experience, a toxic cesspool and mostly gamer guys use it. Totally not worth your time. He sounds like such a NVM the way he emotionally cheated on you and gaslit you; you deserve better than that. You made such a good decision and I hope your healing journey goes well 💕

Their excuse of I didn’t notice or I just walk too fast is suchhh bullshit. Like, using my parents as example, they’re older and walk slower with their age/disabilities. Because of that, I tend to walk faster than them but as soon as I notice in the few seconds they’re not next to me, I stop and wait for them and then match my walking speed to theirs. Why? Because I care and love them and don’t want them to be left behind. It’s literally that simple. So it makes you wonder; do they treat their f…

Oh my god, have I dealt with this in all my relationship/situationships until I found FDS. I thought maybe if I just explained it correctly, maybe if I showed them how much I was hurting, they would understand. But the thing is, they always understood, they just didn’t care. Here I was, begging grown men for decent communication and being told I was in the wrong. My latest situationship that actually led me to finding this wonderful place was exactly like this. I told him I felt like I was yelli…

Hydroboost worked wonders for my skin! I have super dry skin especially in the winter and it’s the one thing that doesn’t dry me out or irritate my sensitive skin. It’s so gentle I can use it over my eyes to get off any remaining eye makeup that my makeup remover didn’t and it doesn’t sting at all. Cerave is also a fantastic moisturizer to pair with it

I feel this post so much. I’m plus-size and love strength training when I can because I just love the feeling of pushing my goals and being strong. My goal isn’t to lose weight but just to hit new strides in my weight lifting and have fun. The only negative comments I would hear were from guys. If I took a break from working out? No wonder you’re fat, you never work out. If I was working out? You’re not doing this right or I bet you can’t actually lift that or I can do better. So when I can be p…

I agree. When I read the “I know this is not the same as cheating” I got the idea that those were not her words. I remember being yelled at for similar instances like this and I would eventually convince myself that, Hey, I’m just overreacting, it’s nothing bad. Definitely sounds like what’s happening here. With him saying she needs to come to her senses, the blatant disrespect and the way the men treat her? It’s clear she’s being emotionally abused. I really hope she figures out how terrible he…

Nice “subtle” attempt to try and make other women feel possibly insecure by insinuating that if they don’t reach out first like her, they’re not mature. He seems like a real catch 😂

Oh my god, yess. If I mention anything to do with height regarding a guy, they act like I offended them personally. They’ll continually tell me what I should like and shouldn’t like and where my league should be. Uh, excuse me? Last I checked, I have not even a bit of interest in dating you so who I choose to be attracted to? Absolutely none of your concern. Date who you want. Life’s too short to date ugly guys 💕
