You have to realize our brains have evolved from the past and it was extremely rare for the average woman to have anywhere near 20 partners in the past. This is why men are less likely to be attached after sex than women. Men get attached through vasopressin but that isnt through sex. Also building up attachments then breaking them constantly absolutely would lessen the affects in the future.
