Why the fuck do people worry about women saying "actual victims of abuse being less credible" in cases like this when clearly the one who is getting fucked is a man? Actual victims are victims regardless of gender. I'm not talking about crocodile tears for attention or some sort of gain. People should not abuse other people. Period.. I lived in Southern California for about 12 years. I think the 9/10 arrests being men is right. Mostly because men don't report as often or don't actually feel threatened enough (until it's too late) to report. I lived this so I don't believe that 99% is accurate at all. This was in an upper middle class neighborhood in a home that I own (alone) with my 3 kids present. I have no criminal history and didn't even raise my voice to this man.

I think that really depends on the cop who answers the call. My ex choked me (a woman) out leaving visible marks and the cop said it could have been from scratching myself. Uh... no. I get that she's being sarcastic here, but this is how some (definitely not all) people think. They plot and plan to trap a man when they see the relationship is failing. I was a sophomore in high school when my friend (16) did this. Her parents pretty much forced her boyfriend (19) to marry her. She confided in me after the wedding that this had been her plan all along. He had to drop out of college and join the army to support her and the kid. She's a terrible person.
