I don't get the "but he enjoyed it" comments. So what? Its entirely possible he enjoyed it, but he's 12 fucking years old. If the roles were reversed, there wouldn't be a single comment saying "she enjoyed it". Very odd double standard when you take a sec to think about it.

I think you are overlooking the power payment processors and banks hold over stores, both online and brick and mortar. If they don't allow their payment methods to be used, that product can't be sold. Visa and MasterCard hold a near monopoly on credit card purchases. What they choose to not allow their payment methods to be used against goes. The only options stores are left with is cash, or online, cryptocoins. They did. The decision Valve made was remove the games or lose the payment processors. Not really much of a choice, when you are an online platform that uses primarily those payment processors to make money. That decision was coerced by the payment processors, so the payment processors have everything to do with the decision. You're right, Valve could have chosen not to submit to the pressure and keep the games on the platform, and Valve would have lost Visa and Mastercard as payment processors instead of just removing that small subset of games. I would imagine that outcome would have been more damaging to Valve as a whole, and much more challenging to accept payments for any other games on their platform going forward. There are two reddit bots you can ban that will stop this as the way this works is mods add the bot to their mod team, and it looks at your post history and if it finds any subreddit they've blacklisted, it bans you. Thats also why it wants you to delete the comments, so it can't see them anymore. But if you block those bots, they can't see your comments to begin with, so you won't get banned.

Oh you are right on the money, movies and TV shows are most certainly a majorbranch, if not the trunk, of the propaganda tree for those with revisionist history motivations for nefarious means. Think about all the Disney movies they are re-imagining and have rewrote and reproduced with not so subtle changes in these 'fairy tails' for example.

Much of history is often retconned this way. As new generations come up, the ways of old are taught to them in distorted and misrepresented ways, and they often begin to resent them; tying into the concept that what is happening today is more relevant and "right" versus yesterday.
