right but I don't support him, we support ourselves so the whole financial support thing is moot. So in the absence of the need for financial support, what should he be bringing to the table to deserve me, in your opinion

why not? if he can benefit from my income why can't I use that as an asset? He does by the way, I buy him things, pay for dinners, cover my expenses so he doesn't have to. Why should he get this benefit? Why does he deserve that plus more but the only think I deserve is his same exact money?

Youthful (check) Submissive (nope) Nurturing (check) but he is too attractive with a sexy body (check) respect him (check) but he respects me too Don't nag him (I will if I have to and he nags me sometimes too) plus I earn the same money and I am nice. But here's the thing, if I earn the same money what is he bringing to the table? Like there is the big flaw in your argument. You are saying he can benefit from my income but that's not enough, I have to be all of the other things you listed but f…

I do. But before I answer I think it would be fun to see if our ideas of my worth add up. What do you think I bring to the table? Don't worry I won't be offended. I am genuinely curious what you think

Ok so I asked him. He laughed and made fun of me for arguing with people on reddit but after that he said 'haha I don't know, we get each other. We're both funny, we're both good looking, and I like you....and you like me" i don't know if this helps or not.

Ok so my partner is 5'11, I mean its close so you might dismiss this out of hand and I would say he makes around 70k (we are both in our 20s btw) Those are not your exact figures but they are relatively close. What standards do you think I should be meeting to deserve him?

It’s not about downplaying anyone’s worth but rather understanding that in the realm of exceptional matches, the qualities sought might be as rare as the men in these statistical brackets. But why do you think that women are seeking men that make 100k or that are 6 feet tall? We all know that dating app statistics are unreliable. The same guys that claim that self reported studies can't be trusted will live and die by information that comes from a dating app where men outnumber women dramaticall…

Less likely, just because I don’t have a sweet tooth doesn’t mean I don’t ever eat sweets, and yes, the disparity in sex drive is what balances it out.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/23 06:31 PM

Not quite, we can agree that male sex drive is higher so your analogy should read, who is going to eat more cookies, the person who cannot get enough cookies and will go out of their way to access them or the person who doesn't like sugar but is around cookies all the time. I personally don't like sweets and will not eat them if they are around so this analogy spoke to me lol I think in the end it balances out and men and women cheat at the same rates.

What you'll find is that high risk and pressure situations you'll find that cortisol management is way better in men. I think you are referring to this study (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/1454958) but there wasn't information in the study to suggest your conclusion. Can you walk me through how you got to this assumption? So regarding your philosophy on women, do you think these are reliable sources? For instance, if you were tasked with gaining a deeper understanding of the less moral and less reasonable sex, would you rely on these guys or do you think you could find better sources?

Both genders lose raw sexual attraction as novelty wanes. There are obvious similarities. There are also differences to be explored as well. Reasonable take and yes I agree. she often loses all thoughts and almost all attraction to other men in a way that is not quite mirrored in the male experience. Maybe, I don't really know much about this but I wouldn't dismiss it outright. it is easier for female desire to dip below the 'sex is better than no sex' threshold. Did you mean to say female here?…

Ok so lets talk about it then. You are basing your view of this on your personal opinion (how emotional of you) while disregarding the data due to the unreliability of the data you have done no research on. If you want us to take your criticism of research seriously you have to provide content as to why there is a reasonable doubt to the information presented. Other than that, I mean we can all be flat earthers together. Scientists just make stuff up right?

inadvertently smothering, cloying, clingy, and over-eager, rather than dismissive of her side of the interest and wanting to drive the whole thing. Ya, I think the propensity to see mal intent in benign behavior is the catalyst for most negative interactions and misunderstandings. I love a good back and forth. It takes a group dynamic, everyone has their contribution to make, and I like it that way. I kind of knew that you thought this but after being so jaded by this sub I did get a warm fuzzy …

the Coolidge effect This is an effect that describes animal behavior and has since been related to human interactions. I mean if we want to take it for what it is, females experience the same effect. Alright you, I'm back You can look at Briffault's Law, Schopenhauer's criticism that they lack justice The female, not the male, determines all the conditions of the animal family. Where the female can derive no benefit from association with the male, no such association takes place. — Robert Briffault, This man was a surgeon and good for him but did you know that he wasn't an anthropologist? That you for your response, there are a lot of solid points in here. a man is rarely able to share his passions I get this, as someone who also has niche interests I can relate. But.... He's finally being acknowledged as a person, as someone with cool hobbies, by somebody who likes those things too, and for once he's not being kicked down a social black hole. There are significant cognitive and behavioral differences between men and women. In terms of intelligence, interests, emotionality, etc. This doesn't equate to one being better than the other, just that there are differences The flip side is that it's much harder for men to find a willing sexual partner than women, and women more easily get bored in committed relationships. I have heard the idea that women being able to have sex easier is the reasoning behind this assumption but this is a sha…

Personality is an important consideration after the fact of "he's attractive." An ugly guy with a good personality is getting treated worse by your average woman than a good looking guy with a shitty personality. I gotta say, I think you are wrong here. Charisma is a hell of a thing and I know so many popular and well liked men who wouldn't be considered conventionally attractive that hit it off with women. And I know those shitty good looking guys too and generally they get shitty good looking …

Ya, its personality. He makes you feel good about yourself, he is confident but not in a way that is cocky or intimidating, rather like you can trust him and you can believe he will have your back, he has an easy manner and is comfortable in his own skin.

Number one is actually true. I can tell you that a man's personality is a pretty important thing. The rest are just examples of the fact that both men and women can be shitty. At least we have that in common right?

I don't think your list is utter bullshit, many of these can be conceded but can I ask about a few? I would say the idea that men and women are equal physically and mentally. I think its pretty delusional to believe that women are as strong physically as men but I am curious about the mentally part. Can you expand? Women work as hard as men. Also this one, it kind of comes back to the mentally vs physically and I assume you mean than men work more hours or do more physically demanding jobs (I wo…

From underwear to hardware, the object in question was then “inspected” by the man (one was a story about a teenage boy). All three stories left me in shock. I wouldn’t even say I was even really judgmental, just overly suprized at the intensity of attraction. It got me wondering whether or not I fully understood how men view…

No of course but I think abusive relationships are their own issue. Assuming that looking at potential means a woman shouldn't vet their potential partner isn't what I mean. I think it just means to consider factors like character, work ethic, morals, past behavior, compatibility, etc. and not financial status or home ownership. And this is why I am like a dog with a bone on this. These are all feminist ideals. Not needing a man for money, choosing a man you are attracted to, being independent e…

Yeah of course he has said problematic things, this is PPD. Its kind of what we are here for. When debating someone, sure its important to keep their viewpoints in mind, but its also important to keep your viewpoints in mind. His problematic opinions don't offend me to the point where I would deviate from my own stance just to argue against it. I just think its important to stand strong on your values and not dismiss them in favor of winning an argument.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/12/23 09:46 PM

Meh fair enough. We all have to do what's best for us at the end of the day and no one on Reddit can make that judgement call for us (thank god lol)
/r/PurplePillDebate16/12/23 09:40 PM
2

Dude I am not arguing with you because I fundamentally disagree with you. I probably share close to all of your viewpoints. His points are based in red pill rhetoric which say a man needs to be rich to be attractive to women and women here are kind of falling into a trap (unintended I think) of arguing for that.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/12/23 09:28 PM

No, lol but I think its a hilarious observation. I get it but in fact I am sure I have disagreed with him many times and argued back and forth. In fact I have argued back and forth with a lot of guys on this sub. Its just frustrating to see so many people kick aside blue pill talking points just because a red pill (or I think he is purple) pill man suggested it. I'll argue with men AND women! You are getting caught up on this active potential thing. Please keep in mind that he is using red pill talking points. We need to view the argument from that stance. What is your definition of a completed man?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/12/23 09:19 PM
2

Again, I know its a good argument for you but I am not making that argument so you need to let it go. You should be sexually attracted to your partner, your sexual attraction shouldn't be influence by how much money he has, hence the potential. If I am sexually attracted to a man, and he has potential (to clarify this means I judge his character to be decent), he is worth dating. I am a full ass grown woman with money and I don't need his cash. I need him to be a decent guy who turns me on. So h…

I don't think you have to agree whole heartedly with the OP. But reactively disagreeing to the point that we lose sight of our values in this is not great. Women are up and down this sub saying that men should basically be rich, successful, own a house, have a good family, be saving for retirement, etc. before they are worth dating. Fuck, I don't have all those boxes checked but I still want to date. Doesn't this objectively sound like some 1950's bullshit to you? If a woman's role matters, if h…

I wouldn't agree with the potential for attraction either. I can concede there, you must be physically attracted to the guy. As I said before most men haven't attained anything when they enter relationships. They're entering them in their mid 20's and marrying on average at 30. Most men never reach 6 figures. The average US salary is 40-50k. Most men don’t look like models either, but there needs to be attraction, not the potential for them to become attractive to you. Most men are still in rela…

You and a lot of other women keep saying this. It would go a long way towards advancing the discussion if you would address the stance I am outlining. Unfinished untested product is assuming you are just jumping into a relationship with anyone off the street. To be quite honest its a little heartbreaking to see so many women base their argument off of the idea that women can't be trusted to judge potential and character enough to reliably choose a partner. And if we are talking about and unfinis…

I am not sure but I do believe this is moving the goal post. Yes I need to be attracted to my partner. No this is not the only qualification I am looking for because that would be short sighted. I would rather date a guy I am attracted to who has potential than date a 'finished product' that I have no attraction to. Again, I cannot stress enough that this is a perfect opportunity for women to enter this conversation and say "of course potential matters, this is why we don't think a man isn't wor…

You don’t need them to be a chad but you need to be happy with who and what they are when you meet them because if they never achieve more then it’s fine because you already are happy Exactly. This is why this is a great opportunity to showcase that a man doesn't have to be rich and successful to be worth dating. The potential you see has to do with his family values, which is actually one of OP's points. Its about the potential that women see in the guys, not that he is a mega-chad .
/r/PurplePillDebate16/12/23 08:47 PM
2

That's the thing, this was a perfect opportunity to support the "Chad" thing. But a lot of women are inadvertently backing up red pill talking points. The argument you are making is that men aren't worth dating unless they are successful and handsome. This plays into everything a lot of men believe about female attraction. That its superficial and that men have to be extremely handsome to get attention.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/12/23 08:38 PM

I don't think he said that and I think the fitness thing is a well hashed topic on this site. I think both sides would agree that wanting someone with a healthy and active lifestyle is understandable. Unless of course it was said by someone you don't agree with.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/12/23 08:18 PM
4

Honestly I am starting to see the overarching problem here. We are viewing people as commodities either way. No one is a finished product. That's the thing no one is talking about is that the idea of a finished product is delusional. OP never said go get you a homeless guy. He said don't go for high value men. You want to hear something really sad. I was all for this argument because I though, finally, the guy is going to start to understand that a high value man is a silly concept and that wome…
/r/PurplePillDebate16/12/23 08:15 PM
2

Cool, I am going off of this argument. The idea of refusing to acknowledge the reasonable points made because you dug through the post history means that the true issue doesn't matter to you. So many people are so concerned with being right that the issues they argue about are thrown aside and the solutions that they seemingly advocate for are completely disposable if its not done exactly the way they want by exactly who they want.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/12/23 08:09 PM
1

And he never said that. Why is this the focal point? Am I supposed to only be sexually attracted to a finished product? My sexual attraction very much relies on the guy as an individual. I have to get to know him, I have to enjoy being around him, he's gotta make me laugh, none of these things mean he has to be tenured with a house and 3 cars.

thank you for taking the gender out of it, that's really important in these conversations I think. Also there is definitely degrees of consideration. But having the ability to judge someone's character plays an important role in that. I am sure he meant someone who is actively on their way, I think he called them a rising 6 in his last post. I take this as meaning the two parties involved can reasonably be given the benefit of the doubt.

again, I really don't think that's what he means at all. If a woman said that men shouldn't be sought after for his money and status but rather for what that woman personally wants in a guy you would be all for it because it means that women are able to choose men based on character and personality.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/12/23 07:43 PM
1

That may be a projection. Something refreshing about this post is it enforces the idea that women are capable of choosing someone based on her character judgment. This involves getting to know the guy first and having a strong sense of self and independence.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/12/23 07:41 PM
3

I do believe that this was what he meant all along to be fair. In his other post he actually warned against trying to fix someone up and to rather make sure they have drive and motivation
/r/PurplePillDebate16/12/23 07:35 PM
2

can you point out what is offensive to women here?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/12/23 07:33 PM

No, I think you communicated clearly. This is very eye opening for me.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/12/23 07:33 PM
1

So if I am in the middle of my masters (which I am) no one in my life should respect or support me until I get it? What he is saying is that going after high status men is not in woman's best interests because of the power imbalance. The amount of time I have spent arguing with men on this sub that women don't just go for power and money and that his personality matters, just to have droves of women come in and argue against that is really blowing my mind right now
/r/PurplePillDebate16/12/23 07:32 PM

Sounds like a lovely relationship, I wish you all the best. Thanks for sharing!
/r/PurplePillDebate16/12/23 07:29 PM

Except that now you are doing the same thing. Explaining what a man wants to be loved for even though this guys is telling you something different. If you hate the behavior so much, why emulate it? Why miss an opportunity to bridge the gap and show what empathetic discourse looks like. Now I am going to have men referencing your conversation here when I ask them why they aren't being respectful or empathetic.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/12/23 07:29 PM

Because he was talking about building a relationship. His omission wasn't an attempt to suggest women should force themselves to be attracted to men. Its more like recognizing that attraction is complex so talking about the framework of a relationship without including specific details for attraction makes for a more inclusive argument.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/12/23 07:23 PM

Would you date an obese man?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/12/23 07:18 PM
0

Where did he say that?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/12/23 07:17 PM

I gotta say OP this is very humbling. You learned from your last post through discussion and made changes (some of which were based on your conversation with me) and it has still generated ire and judgement. I think these are good points and I applaud you for engaging in thoughtful conversations with women. No matter what anyone says in these comments, you aren't a bad guy and your opinions are not outlandish or evil.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/12/23 07:16 PM

Do you think equality as far as income and power had a part to play in the success of your relationship?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/12/23 07:12 PM

I might be misreading that but I don't think that is what he is trying to say. Did I miss something in the original post?

There you go. A red pill man agrees. People aren't worth investing in.....
/r/PurplePillDebate16/12/23 07:07 PM

ya know, of all the posts on this site, we can actually say this guy is trying to present the opinion in a respectful way. He literally took advice from his original post and made an effort to defend this in a decent manner. I think we can meet him halfway at least.

Some men and yes, I have seen a lot of assumptions about women's attraction on this sub. So.... So many assumptions.....So many. I think he is on the right track here as far as what equity might look like. Invest in each other, find someone who values you, don't sacrifice your independence, etc. I agree that a man's worth isn't rooted in how much money he has and I think most women do too.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/12/23 07:00 PM

I can see what you are saying here but don't you think that attraction is very subjective for women? There are men who I've thought were so handsome but when I show a friend a picture, they were like eww. I can't count the number of times my brother has called my crushes goofy looking. The reason my attractions are so unpredictable is because personality plays a heavy factor which flies in the face of dating apps or any situation where I am expected to view a mans stupid car, dumb haircut, or he…

Great points! It makes me wonder about the dynamic that women having more opportunities to freedom has on a lot of these aspects. Considering women had less access to capital and power in the past, the desire to get the 8/9 was well founded since she knew she would have to rely heavily on him for a better quality of life. Now we have women who don't have to rely on a man to ensure a secure life, some of these standards don't really make a lot of sense. Especially considering that, in my opinion,…

I have a theory. When polled, women in European nations where women are known for having the most access to equality actually expressed a wish to have more children then they were having. We might need to reconcile with the fact that in an ever advancing society where women are more capable than ever when it comes to contributing to society, we might need to make a concentrated effort to make the workplace less hostile to caregivers. Hear me out here, we know that family and raising children use…

hmm let me think. Women should view a man's value as an investment or If women want to find high quality men, look at their potential Idk. I'm tired

Sure, and we can pretend like we don't owe someone respectful discourse but still deserve that same respect when it comes to our issue but at the end of the day you know what I am talking about. If you think the argument has value, then you should do it the justice of presenting it in a way where it will be heard. That means not alienating half of your audience right off the bat. But you don't have to acknowledge this either. Its my belief that if we work together we are stronger and with that c…

/r/PurplePillDebate16/12/23 06:03 AM

Exactly that, there's no reason to attack people when talking about complex issues. You can absolutely get your same point across without directly insulting the person you are talking to. But what ever, this sub is what it is. You don't have to agree with me.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/12/23 06:01 AM

lmao bro I just answered your question, calm the fuck down
/r/PurplePillDebate16/12/23 05:59 AM

biological female
/r/PurplePillDebate16/12/23 05:52 AM

Women are the ones slowly destroying the dating market without knowing This what his post title. Men on this sub need to learn how to talk to women without insulting them.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/12/23 05:47 AM

Thanks for sharing your experience. Respectful discourse is the only solution to the majority of these issues.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/12/23 05:41 AM

oh! ya you can't take this sub too seriously lol
/r/PurplePillDebate16/12/23 04:57 AM

No, I think he is talking about the irony that people are dismissed immediately because some think their rights are more important. Its not that he's 100% correct but shutting someone down if they are willing to engage in conversation is never ok so in some ways he might be right.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/12/23 04:52 AM
3

yeah I see your point here.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/12/23 04:49 AM

I've been called a TERF before too, it was in an argument where I told someone they should be more mature about how they present their standpoint, they called me a TERF and blocked me lol I don't know, if you are using the word TERF to restrict someone's ability to speak in a conversation where they are being open and respectful its kind of ironic.

That's interesting, its frustrating that a lot of the source links in the article didn't work. While I don't think this is the whole picture, I certainly won't dismiss it outright. A couple of factors that play into this are that women know men are less likely to report or talk about it so they feel like they can get away with it, also women might think its not as bad because she is weaker but clearly it is as bad as no one deserves to be physically abused (mental anguish from this is just as da…

No, its not shallow, everyone wants someone who takes care of their appearance, not to mention if you like someone you want them to stay healthy. I wouldn't want to be with someone who couldn't do active things with me because they choose not to stay physically active.

You linked me to your own post, it cracked me up. And I am just curious what you think the best way to spot a rising 6 is.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/12/23 09:25 PM

Do you think this is possible through dating apps or is it better for women to be looking for these men in her social circles?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/12/23 09:23 PM
1

lmao, that's funny I have a theory that very smart women who have healthy parents who taught these things, pitfalls, and are very self aware know this find these men and live happy ever after because the recognize what happens as of level 7. Is this where you answer that question?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/12/23 09:21 PM

Hmmm interesting. Thanks for your explanation

How do we tell if he is a rising 6?

Sounds lovely. I think this is the dream actually.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/12/23 09:17 PM

yes, your post was a lot to read but I do appreciate you helping me understand. You said that women are letting men become too powerful and we are supposed to snatch them up when they are still at a 6, am I right?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/12/23 09:13 PM

Like working out, finding a decent career, etc. right? And women can't improve their value? They just depreciate?

I'd rather live on the moon.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/12/23 09:09 PM

Ok and how is this tied to women ruining the dating market?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/12/23 09:07 PM

Ok so what you're saying is that men can improve their value but women can't?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/12/23 09:07 PM
5

Ok so you are saying that women should invest in men, even if hey aren't attracted to them because they may become a 7?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/12/23 09:04 PM
2

lol yeah you're right, its actually not worth it at all. I didn't think it was obvious that he was referencing that part but who knows. My fault for letting reddit work me up. I do try to give guys empathy on here because I think a lot of them deserve it but man I gotta remember that nothing on this sub or any other should get me bent out of shape.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/12/23 08:19 PM

Love that this is “going crazy”, I’m glad I screen shotted it. I’m glad three separate men on this sub showed up to ignore the context of the situation and call me crazy. I’m glad that all three men chose to abstain from being empathetic or engage in the conversation respectfully, the reason I screen shot conversations (like this one too) is that you guys tend to delete your comments after you have a second to realize that you aren’t being the saints you make yourself out to be when you ask wome…
/r/PurplePillDebate15/12/23 02:59 PM

Hold on you’re not gonna sit there and literally falsely accuse me of making a comment and then run away. What comment do you think I made and deleted? What did I accuse him of?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/12/23 07:42 AM
1

Im hysterical for responding to a comment that called women weak and fearful in a direct response to an experience I shared where a man approached me with a group of other men behind him. I didn’t delete anything btw. That’s a weird thing throw in at the end. What are you talking about
/r/PurplePillDebate15/12/23 07:32 AM

This is what you consider freaking out? This is the radical feminism that is such a threat? Have you thought about this for like 3 seconds?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/12/23 07:25 AM

This is good information to include when you talk about things like this. It would go a long way in bridging the gap between men and women

I appreciate the thought. Idk man
/r/PurplePillDebate15/12/23 07:17 AM

How should I have known that. You were responding directly to me with a comment saying exactly that women of my generation are weak and fearful
/r/PurplePillDebate15/12/23 07:16 AM

Btw the fearful and weak generation of women he’s talking about includes me. But no, his words don’t matter. Only my reaction to them

Yes, the evidence you needed to justify your hatred of women was here all along
/r/PurplePillDebate15/12/23 07:09 AM

Because nothing in your reply indicated that you acknowledged my experience in an empathetic light. You only latched onto the dogshit one, went on a rant about women and feminists and insulted modern women without indicating which part of my story you were referring to
/r/PurplePillDebate15/12/23 07:04 AM

Np. Gonna go ahead and screenshot this for the next time a guy on this sub asks about why women aren’t empathetic to men’s problems
/r/PurplePillDebate15/12/23 06:52 AM

My experience that I shared with you just now reminded you of a Tik tok of a crazy woman?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/12/23 06:48 AM

Maybe. I’ve seen it too, men just walking up and trying to tell a a girl she is about to walk into dog shit or something and she freaks out on him for being a pervert. For sure this happens. The other thing happens too though. It’s happened to me, standing and waiting for my ride after work, a man walked up to me with his group of friends behind him and said “you seem nice!” And tried to get into my space. It was a pretty public place so I walked off and his group laughed. Idk. I’d just rather n…

I also don't think men are monsters yet I get called all sorts of terrible things by dudes on this sub. We are very much the same lol
/r/PurplePillDebate14/12/23 11:55 PM

Wow. Lots of stuff to address here. Just to clarify - you’re saying that men insult, belittle, and blame women for their problems, then expect empathy? Yes. Specifically speaking about the whole 'men can't get laid' issue, women are consistently the target of ire. The idea that women only go for money, status, assholes who abuse them, etc. is a constant talking point of these posts. Women want to be loved, but they don't want to love. most women don't deserve chivalry from men The fact that so m…
/r/PurplePillDebate14/12/23 11:33 PM

Do these men acknowledge these double standards after I insult, belittle, and blame them? Should I expect empathy from a subgroup of people I routinely bash and degrade? Do these men even want our empathy? It seems like a lot of these posts use language about women that is horribly offensive and degrading. Do posts like this deserve our empathy?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/12/23 10:32 PM

Good point lol it really does seem too on the nose sometimes
/r/PurplePillDebate14/12/23 09:25 PM

you want me to read your post back to you so that you can understand the context of my direct reply to the thing you typed out? Do you have the authority to speak for most men and women on either of these assumptions?

Do they now?

If the government suddenly mandated that all citizens were required to submit a DNA sample, like you need to submit a saliva swab at 'this' government building by this 'time' or penalties and legal persecutions would be implemented, would it matter if it were free?

I'm not. This isn't a debate post. You don't have the ability or knowledge to debate this subject.

Its not my responsibility to think critically about this issue for you.

I am trying to ask you if the psychological impact of having your family thrown into disarray directly after birth is worse than finding this out later in life. Since I am being so dense let me simplify my point for you. You claim that mandatory DNA tests will save children from mental anguish if they find out later in life that their dad wasn't their biological father. Even though your logic on this opinion of yours was unbelievably clear (not dense like me) you failed to think about the implic…

Anything that may then look bad, asymmetrically, is not worth it to them because they want to protect their egos. what did you mean by this?

..... What experience do you think the newborn will have if the infidelity is revealed at birth?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/12/23 02:14 AM

Do you think that's a trait that is seen more in women then men?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/12/23 02:12 AM
4

What experience will it cause?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/12/23 02:09 AM
4

And what impact is a mandatory DNA test that proves infidelity going to have on a newborns life?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/12/23 02:06 AM

Yes, building self worth is hard. It requires self reflection, openness to new ideas, and humility. Women didn't ask to be the motivation for men's development of self worth and we do not deserve to be blamed and demonized for men's short comings
/r/PurplePillDebate13/12/23 07:19 AM

Building self-worth is the key. If you can commit to something enough to get good at it then you have proven to yourself that your worth lies in your effort and not in unchangeable things. Not everything is about getting dates. Men are worthy of a high quality life regardless of whether they can get a date
/r/PurplePillDebate13/12/23 06:55 AM

interesting point and I can see the detriment of disenfranchisement. Ultimately no one responds well to desperation no matter your gender. Someone who is willing to do anything to get something from you provokes negative reactions in general. This is why the whole "get a hobby" advice is so common. The hobby isn't the important factor. Its mostly advice to stop obsessing over something in an unhealthy way that people are trying to provide guidance for.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/12/23 06:34 AM
1

Or he's a witch. Your theory makes sense. Mine is more fun. Pick your poison
/r/PurplePillDebate13/12/23 06:30 AM

Why are you giving away your secrets!!!
/r/PurplePillDebate13/12/23 06:06 AM

So the solution is don't be yourself, close yourself off emotionally, and do what you hate? Are we sure the problem is with the advice and not the interpretation?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/12/23 06:05 AM
2

You can do better than that.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/12/23 05:29 AM
2

You're inability to infer meaning from written text
/r/PurplePillDebate13/12/23 05:19 AM
3

No you didn't say much. Mostly you are just dissenting like a bratty middle schooler rather than contributing to the conversation. Hence the tendency to allude to the point rather than stating it outright. I don't blame you, it takes courage to state what you think clearly, most people struggle with that so don't feel insecure.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/12/23 05:10 AM
1

But I care! I can't tell you how thrilled I am to hear a reasonable take from a dude on this sub.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/12/23 05:07 AM
5

I see! None of the guys on here are going to believe you though.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/12/23 05:05 AM
6

Oh I see, you are comparing this the statistics regarding SA or murder (of women by men). You are saying that the data proves that women have nothing to worry about from strangers and should therefore not be so stringent when it comes to accepting dates or intimate interactions from people they don't know?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/12/23 05:01 AM

fare is fair but bare is not bear
/r/PurplePillDebate13/12/23 04:57 AM
1

And what would you attribute your success in getting dates to? Are you a six foot tall billionaire?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/12/23 04:54 AM
7

Oh so I should leave my door unlocked? Pick up hitchhikers? Allow strangers to have access to my personal information?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/12/23 04:53 AM
1

So its a cold approach with a random stranger?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/12/23 04:51 AM
7

Good for you! I pay for dates tho tbh. But then again I make sure I don't go on dates with complete strangers from the internet
/r/PurplePillDebate13/12/23 04:50 AM
2

Can I ask you about the last date you were on? Where did you meet?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/12/23 04:48 AM
2

Do you accept easy sex?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/12/23 04:45 AM

Ok, we can ignore that he is literally generalizing his experience based on outliers (which he said is something only women do) to address your point about the validity of dating app data. Lets start here. how many women use dating apps in comparison to men
/r/PurplePillDebate13/12/23 04:44 AM

you said so little and yet said .....so little
/r/PurplePillDebate13/12/23 04:41 AM

It is always possible to verify a person before agreeing to an intimate interaction with them. In an online forum like this, the actual barriers men face regarding social interactions with women are routinely omitted leaving the rest of us to try and diagnose the symptom without all the essential information
/r/PurplePillDebate13/12/23 04:40 AM

But then men that don't view women as sexual objects are also punished for just existing just as women who don't see men as secondary wallets are punished by men leading them on for sex with them and calling it off. This is exactly the flaw with all these "Women do this!..." Or "Men are this way..." We all have a personal responsibility to vet the people we choose to engage in. You can take that one of two ways, either people are responsible for the repercussions of the choices they make, or peo…
/r/PurplePillDebate13/12/23 04:36 AM

One of the main ways to vet women on dates is to get separate orders. or get to know the woman before going on a date with her. There's no way of knowing if a woman expects men to pay for dates and to be put on a pedestal until you go on a date with her. There is a way to know who she is. Conversations, mutual friends gatherings, sharing information over the course of a period of time. You are not required to go on a date with a stranger.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/12/23 04:26 AM

Did you bother doing research before presenting an opinion like this?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/12/23 04:06 AM

Oh that's so interesting. Is this based on evidence or your direct observation?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/12/23 04:02 AM

A man who didn't feel overly confident in himself in the pre-civilizationary times was a goner and potential detriment to his species/tribe Wot? Based on which civilizations? This very much seems like you made it up on the spot.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/12/23 03:58 AM

except this is a symptom of men not vetting the women they go on dates with. I wonder, have you ever judged someone who experienced consequences directly related to their deliberate actions?

My bad, sounds like you got it figured out. Good talk and good luck with all those women you've dated and will continue to date. Have a good one sir
/r/PurplePillDebate10/12/23 08:39 PM

Women get implants and would never admit that, sometimes even after a man has felt them. They do, women who get fake boobs talk about it and usually their partners are down with it. Women don’t sit at a 3rd date or warn a guy “hey, just so you know, I’m wearing a padded push up bra. My breasts actually look like 2 egg yolks in ziplock bags.” That's not really how those bras work and again I don't think a lot of men would claim to be so upset about finding out the boobs are slightly smaller und…

You said this in the other comment, women are pretty open about all those things. So if it was presented in the same light, where he openly talked about his 'enhancements' (still love the Ken doll thing btw) then it would come off in a completely different way.

Yes also I love this part of your post the most Worse, he excused himself to use the bathroom and when he came back out, that noticeable bulge in his jeans is now as flat as a Ken doll. He had something in there to enhance it. It wasn't necessary but it paints a hell of a picture

Rampant entitlement, a complete lack of empathy and no ability to discern severity levels on a case by case basis is shockingly common these days. There are a plethora of reasons as to why someone might not disclose their sexual preference and the fact that you immediately jump to believing that anyone doing so is an immoral monster on par with a rapist is very disturbing. Its this frenzied addiction to righteous judgement that leads to exactly the behavior you are pre-emptively criticizing.

So you clearly live in a place where it snows, I can't relate but as far as landscaping, women either figure it out or hire someone. Just like men. I have fixed many many appliances and other household related things thanks to daddy youtube
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/23 04:44 AM

Women living alone assess this risk all the time. That's why we are hypervigilant about locking doors and maintaining self defense options in the home.

What does being more selective mean in dating?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/23 01:27 AM

What does it mean?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/23 01:24 AM

And for women to provide a healthy environment they must be more selective.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/23 01:18 AM

There’s not a difference in motivation, the motivation is to effectively reproduce
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/23 01:09 AM

No difference? So women and men should both sleep with as many people as possible because the goal is reproduction?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/23 01:07 AM

There is a difference in social and biological motivations for men and women.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/23 01:04 AM

So why the hyper focus on women acknowledging men's problems with dating?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/23 01:01 AM

huh... maybe men should compare themselves to men in dating because of the biological and social differences men and women have.

I was talking about what a healthy dialogue might look like. Some women do this, but if that's what you hate why would you emulate that behavior? In this scenario you should have no more respect for yourself than you do for the women who do the same. There are women here who are willing to talk and listen to your point of view but asking them to read paragraph after paragraph about how much you hate them and how shitty they are and still have an open mind about your struggles is a little delusio…

I’m sorry but what ever your thoughts on men and women and power dynamics the point I’m making is that things like paternity tests and go bags are things individuals have to decide on depending on the people involved and their experience. Why is this such an offensive take

If a man wants a paternity test he should make that clear to his partner before they chose to have kids. Men on here say a paternity test is something they are entitled to Women on here say that when men ask for paternity tests it relays a message of distrust. Men say no it doesn’t, but also don’t want to ask so they say it should be mandatory for all women Women say you should be responsible for asking for a paternity test because it’s a relationship by relationships basis All caught up?

You’re telling me you don’t understand the context of a common back and forth argument that happens on this sub? Are you new to this sub or are you pretending to not understand because being obstinate is easier?

So if your partner communicates their concerns and involves you in the decision making process there’s no issue? Like we don’t have to mandate state go bags?? It can just be a case by case basis that depend on the individual relationship and the people involved!?!

Well women are making that choice more and more and wow look at that. Birthrates are declining. Do you think shitting on women who get pregnant and showing to all women that they are going to be completely alone if they have a kid has anything to do with that lol Maybe you guys should get on here and talk more about how men shouldn't have to pay child support and how women should have mandatory tests to prove the paternity of their kids more often and see if that helps women look at being a moth…

/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/23 05:27 AM

Wow you really think you have a gotcha with the Pete Davidson thing don’t you. Is that why you’re desperately clinging to that argument while avoiding all the other glaring issues with your argument. Well good luck out there man. Sorry I used Pete Davidson as an example, there was a whole slew of memes making fun of him for getting hot chicks so I didn’t know he was a god compared to the average male. I think you guys are way off base here and it’s harmful rather than helpful to blindly believe this rhetoric. I mean I provided examples, personal experiences, and studies that show the complexity of attraction and you’ve provided…. That stupid tinder article that you guys cannot stop obsessing…

ok. You dismissed my personal experience. You dismissed the fact that Pete Davidson is not that hot but gets girls like Kim even when he is competing against actual male supermodels, insanely attractive actors and millionaires. Duh. I just said that. Objectively speaking women don't find men attractive. Its their personality that sways their interest. I've met hot guys that acted like douches and found my attraction for them completely die. So here's what you do, if you don't trust her make sure you get a paternity test. Clearly the importance of the paternity test is a very important factor in the health and wellbeing of the child and for the sake of fairness when it comes to your financial responsibility. That's part of being an adult is taking precautions for risks you deem serious. I still do not see the justification for mandatory paternity tests. So you are for child support?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/23 10:52 PM

Do you have a source for those numbers?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/23 10:50 PM

Ya… that argument doesn’t quite have the ring you want it to when your main reason for a paternity test revolves around abandoning the child and mother if the kid isn’t yours.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/23 10:42 PM
1

So you’re concerned about the child having access to this type of information because your main point is the safety and well being of the child right?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/23 09:41 PM

He is not longer required to pay child support if a test proves he isn't the father later on and there are repercussions for the mother in this event. Are you a doctor? You have no idea what you are talking about

That's a decision you have to make for yourself based on your specific situation, not something you should push on everyone else. 2: If the mother did cheat I would rather she and the baby get through the pregnancy healthily. Ya the unsaid part of this conversation is that there’s been advocacy on this sub for mandatory state paternal testing. It would be just as outrageous as mandatory state funded go bags

“Almost 24% of all relationships had some violence, and half (49.7%) of those were reciprocally violent. In nonreciprocally violent relationships, women were the perpetrators in more than 70% of the cases.”
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/23 03:06 PM
6

If I heard that a guy left his partner because he found a go bag I would probably jump to the conclusion that there were issues in the relationship that were already present before he found the go bag Same with a paternity test, if I found out a friend demanded a paternity test from his wife I would immediately think, oh he thinks she’s cheating.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/23 03:00 PM
2

And if that is your fear you have every right to do so.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/23 02:56 PM

I would need to know these people to make that kind of judgement, I would need way more information before I jump to a “they should…” statement

So explain, what did I miss
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/23 02:51 PM

The go bag is something she prepares herself. She might also have to deal with the consequences of her partner feeling hurt. Same with paternity tests. If this is something you legitimately fear you should get one but you then have to deal with potential negative consequences as well
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/23 02:50 PM
0

Let’s be real here, the paternity test thing isn’t about medical disorders for the guys who argue for it here on this sub. Relationships are complex and personal, some people might want to get a paternity test or prepare a go bag but at the end of the day that decision is theirs and they will deal with the process of completing the action and potentially the consequences themselves
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/23 02:48 PM

I don’t know to be honest. I feel like it’s a fine line and I definitely think some guys are just being friendly when they are in fact trying to flirt. There an escalation of teasing that I think happens with. Flirting where you test the waters with jokes and picking on each other back and forth but again it’s about the long game. As far as picking chicks up for a one night stand, that’s never been my thing so I have no clue. I’ve never had a one night stand and I hate clubs and bars.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/23 02:16 AM

They sound like jerks to be fair. I know girls like that and I don't like to be around them either, I can see why that experience would sour you in some ways
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/23 01:31 AM
1

Fair enough, thanks for sharing
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/23 01:22 AM
1

Can you give me a example? Like where you saw a woman at a social event like this and you or your friend tried to a strike up a conversation and she dismissed you in favor of the chads? I don’t mean to put you on the spot but the context would help me understand the full picture better
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/23 01:08 AM
1

No, there’s a difference. When guys flirt it’s feels like they genuinely like you, when they hit on you it feels like they will lose all interest in you if you turn them down. Flirting is building a friendship. Hitting on is a proposition to that has a direct prerequisite. If one is not looking for a relationship on which side? Like a man who wants to get laid?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/23 01:05 AM
1

The only women there are Chad chasing
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/23 12:55 AM
2

Flirting is warm, personal, and light hearted. You kind of have to know the person to be able to flirt. It’s like building a friendship where you learn more and more about the other person through conversation and light teasing. Hitting on is targeted, impersonal and direct. Being hit on usually means being put on the spot
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/23 12:48 AM
1

And there it is. The video game one actually pisses me off pretty bad. I only go to conventions and sports to find chads? Not to enjoy myself? Why would any woman want to get to know a guy who thinks that about them. God I can only imagine trying to reach out to a guy about what I thought was a shared interest only to have him turn his nose up at me and go, you couldn’t be interested in this stuff. You’re just a woman
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/23 12:39 AM
1

But it’s obvious. Sincerity is a crazy important trait. No one wants to be with some who they think has unspoken and ulterior motives. And girls absolutely do love video games and other male dominated stuff, I literally just went to a Comic-Con and before that an anime convention. Sports, are you kidding me? There are a ton of girls who are into sports. I’ve been to plenty of games with my girlfriends
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/23 12:31 AM

Hmmm ya no I’m more receptive to flirting if I find the guy attractive.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/23 12:24 AM

Women can complain about their specific problems in dating without you taking it as a direct pity party competition. In fact the biggest problem is the rampant hate on women in these subs. Would you say the things to a woman you are trying to date as you have said to me here? If the answer is yes. There is your problem If the answer is no, why do you blame women for being turned of by the insincere nature of your whole approach? Anyone would be. /r/PurplePillDebate13/11/23 12:01 AM

ya when you view a sub group of people in such a light it's difficult to rationalize anything they do. The ironic part is that you accuse women of making themselves out to be victims when you are here crying that you can't get women, not through any fault of your own, but because women and chads are evil forces that.....victimize you?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/23 11:58 PM

Social circles. You get to know the person before you try to have sex with them. City league sports, co-workers, college class mates, gym, etc. And I know what you are thinking. No one wants to be hit on in these places and no they don't. That's why you develop repour first. I met my current boyfriend after flirting back and forth at work with him for about 3 months.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/23 11:52 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/23 09:30 PM
3

That's true! So when women are able to choose to have kids or not have kids they choose not to. But the funny thing is, women want more kids than they have. I think adjusting the workplace to be less hostile towards caregivers is the ultimate solution is we want to see birth rates start rising again.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/23 09:28 PM
5

Ya, like, it's not that we don't want to be approached by normal men, we don't want to be approached by strange men. Cold approach is pretty difficult to navigate for men who are charismatic let alone men who lack confidence in talking to women. I react negatively to any stranger who randomly tries to engage me in conversation when I am shopping, working out, etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/23 09:18 PM
2

Well then what will work?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/23 07:48 PM

Right? Or if we were to refer to the average woman here as a cold hearted monster who is only interested in rich chads and being as much of a whore before 25 as she possibly can! We can't be using examples like this to make our argument if we want to maintain the dignity of this sub.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/23 07:29 PM
0

Right!? This sub is no place for trashy people ☠️
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/23 07:12 PM
2

Im so sorry to hear that your experiences were so awful. As far as the body count and relationship success part, it isn’t really my opinion, it’s a study, it’s cited pretty often on this sub. obviously there are a myriad of factors that play into the success of long term relationships but higher body counts tend to negatively impact relationships in both men and women
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/23 07:09 PM
3

I’ve seen that before but I believe there’s a inverse when you go up in a age brackets suggesting that women are dating older men, not just sharing one guy
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/23 04:11 PM
2

Complain if it’s so upsetting bro
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/23 04:04 PM
7

If you can’t back it up you shouldn’t say it
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/23 05:50 AM
5

What did the research from these apps say about how many women are actually using these apps
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/23 05:12 AM
6

Haha I’ll bite. How do you know
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/23 04:59 AM
1

No you’re right lol And you said it earlier too, I should have listened
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/23 03:43 AM
2

One of your female acquaintances had 7 . Is that what you’re going off of? One chick your don’t even know well enough to call a friend? I’ve had 2. My best friend, 4. The average for early 20s is 4-8. Is that enough of a number to throw the whole person away?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/23 03:42 AM
1

I mean i think we agree on most points here
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/23 03:37 AM
3

No I know you said #noshamethough right after you said people should wait for marriage to have sex. Let me ask you this, should a date ask for your bank account info on the first date? When you meet a girl would you feel comfortable is she said, “are you a virgin??” Before she got to know you at all? Dating shouldn’t be like a job interview. Prioritize the human . Why am I having to justify this point so hard
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/23 03:23 AM
3

But most people don’t have 10+ partners. That’s the thing, we are placing so much emphasis on trying to find out other peoples sexual history it ruins making connections. Get to know the person, their sexual history is none of your business until you’ve developed enough of a relationship with them that you have the right to know about that very personal and private part of their life
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/23 03:16 AM
6

You wanting someone who is a virgin isn’t a problem. Society shaming men and women about sex is a problem. As long as you’re preferences aren’t used as a tool for shaming those who don’t match them, there’s no problem. The fact is, you shouldn’t base your judgement of a potential partner on sex right off the bat. Making human connection should come first, if later you find out that they aren’t a virgin and that is a deal breaker, that’s fine but categorizing people by their sexual history is wei…
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/23 03:14 AM
2

No I am not vilifying preferences. I think its healthy and natural for us all to have them. I just think societies focus on virginity and body count is unhealthy and we need to move away from that
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/23 02:52 AM
3

well you could say that for the guy in the thread I linked as far as relationship status
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/23 02:42 AM
3

Ya vaping and alcohol aren’t a fundamental part of human life. The healthier thing would be to accept that sex isn’t on par with abusing drugs. I’ve only had 2 partners so please know that I’m not just defending my own promiscuity, I genuinely think we should not vilify sex among consenting adults and especially on the religious grounds that marriage is based on
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/23 01:59 AM
2

that's such a perfect analogy lmao!
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/23 12:37 AM
12

Yes, for both men and women higher body counts lead to less success in long-term relationships. The problem is most men and women don't have those crazy high body counts but every talks about it as if its a reality.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/23 12:36 AM
4

Thank you, it means a lot to me to hear that! I find when you actually have a conversation about this stuff we all tend to agree with each other more than anything. Social media promotes reactivity and that's too bad. We have a lot to learn from each other
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/23 12:29 AM
2

I sincerely wish you the best. Conversations like this matter. Internet conversations can only go so far so I hope this doesn't sound insincere but you absolutely matter and are wanted and I hope you can find success. You deserve to.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/23 12:15 AM

thanks for saying so, at the end of the day when we stand together we accomplish more

Your fears are valid and I wouldn't ever suggest that you go out of your comfort zone especially considering the trauma you've experienced in regards to this very thing but there's got to be a way for you to socialize. I went to a Christmas party with a friend of mine last year and 3 men that she works with DMed me within a week, 2 of which were married. After telling the married guys that I wasn't interested and after chatting back and forth with the other guy before deciding he wasn't for me I…

Guys prefer virgins. Guys are mad that women are more selective now that they have the ability to provide for themselves. Which is it?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/23 11:45 PM
1

I see, and I get it all of these factors seem so overwhelming and are so ingrained into our society, it's like you never stood a chance. What do you think would help now?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/23 11:35 PM
5

fuck that sucks. I wish I could add more to this conversation but I am not even sure what I would do in this situation. If you had to pick one thing, what do you think would help you? And lets be clear, the problem you have isn't insignificant. Bonding with other humans is so fucking important. What support do you wish you had?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/23 11:32 PM
2

What do you wish had been different when you were a teenager? Like if you had to pinpoint one or two things, what do you think would have helped if anything?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/23 11:24 PM
12

I am so sorry. This is a perfect example of why men's mental health should be a focus in our society now more than ever. It sounds like a vicious cycle. You feel unwanted, your motivation to try to improve your physical appearance decreases, you feel even more unwanted, pattern repeats. I hate that you feel that way because you don't deserve to. Personally, my sex drive is completely dependent on how sexy I feel. I do not know what would happen to my mental health if I didn't feel desired, which…
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/23 11:20 PM

You say you internalized that feeling, has anything changed? Do you still feel that way?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/23 11:11 PM
2

Socializing is crazy important when it comes to relationships. Like humans are communal and social by nature. Its crazy to expect positive results when some guys only scamper out of their dwellings to find women to sleep with and then scamper back when they're rejected
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/23 10:44 PM
2

Incredible, please run for office
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/23 10:39 PM
5

No lol. Don't 'just stop feeling that' Your emotions are valid and society absolutely places undue stress and judgement on both men and women about sex. Talking about this stuff is good.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/23 10:37 PM
3

only women who sleep with 300 men are slut shamed? That's good news! Lets an insane amount of women off the hook
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/23 10:36 PM
6

Lol let him cook
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/23 10:25 PM
3

Oh. So do you want a woman?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/23 10:22 PM
12

No no! I think you’re spot on. None of these guys represent the dudes I actually know in two life and I think it lends credence to your comment.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/23 10:20 PM
5

But isn’t that true for you with women
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/23 10:19 PM
3

I see what you mean. I think there’s definitely merit to that. Men are expected to be the adult in the room even though they are experiencing the same fears and uncertainties of women
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/23 10:10 PM
5

So me being able to work means I can have sex with the men I want to have sex with (currently my bf)?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/23 10:06 PM
19

Oh wow “actually socialize with women and make themselves attractive to them” This is a perfect explanation
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/23 10:02 PM
5

But I do choose to. I like men and I want to have sex with them.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/23 10:00 PM

I get you! I’m glad we are having conversations like this, I think it’s a step in the right direction but man progress on stuff like this can seem so slow

10

Women only have chemistry with 5% of men?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/23 09:53 PM

Lol ok why would i hate men so much that I’d rather work
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/23 09:47 PM
7

I hate men?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/23 09:42 PM

Ya I think its because this whole virginity thing is a hyperfocus that is unhealthy for both sexes. Someone's sex life is no ones business, especially not their first time. I think we should normalize not shaming men for being a virgin. I think we shouldn't use the word incel anymore But with that needs to come the de-shaming of sex in general. This means girls too. People are pretty obsessed with body counts and women are the ones who get that backlash Maybe we should all have a healthier outlo…

Do you have a source?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/23 09:29 PM

So women are choosing to work hard and have more responsibility? Why would so many women choose this?

How interesting. Ya I can see how that would be very complex

I’m willing to talk about it, nothings ever black and white. Which examples am I passing over and do you really think money and power don’t equate to privilege generally?

Good talk
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/23 05:36 AM

Ya that’s not why I said that and you know it. But have fun simplifying things and o make it easier for yourself to swallow. Women bad! Men good! Thank god you got that cleared up for us. How does it feel being so morally superior to everyone else? Is the weight crushing?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/23 05:32 AM
7

And how does that equate to men having to worse? So in the spirit of good faith I will say, men are expected to shut up about issues, men are dismissed when it comes to abuse and sexual assault. This type of invisibility is absolutely detrimental to men over all (and ultimately negatively impacts our society). The problem is it’s other men that have a pretty heavy influence on this. Women too, to be sure, but criminal prosecutors, judges, law makers, police, etc. are more likely to be men so the…
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/23 05:29 AM
3

Privilege can be quantified directly into the amount of influence you have in any given society. Money and political power can be tied pretty clearly to influence and privilege here. The problem I think your having is that you can’t quantify what you assume to be female privilege (getting as much cock as you want doesn’t really relate to power like you guys think it does)
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/23 05:19 AM
4

Money equals power. Political representation equals power, in what way is this not significant?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/23 04:56 AM
4

Jesus dude.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/23 04:50 AM
1

So I actually have done quite a bit research on immigration (including the illegal kind) for college papers and it’s impact on the us economy. Do you wanna maybe hurry and do some research before you talk to me about it or should we jump right in?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/23 04:31 AM
2

And to be quite frank, to keep us on topic, I don’t think this is a great example, do you have any others?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/23 04:16 AM
3

Do you think that there might have been behind the scene factors that played into her value as an actor that had more to do with her marketability, acting ability, and role acquisition? I mean i love the kid who played Ron but I have a hard time saying he’s as talented as Emma Watson
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/23 04:14 AM
1

I mean illegal immigration is a very red herring issue. Our government is happy to take advantage of illegal immigrants while simultaneously riling people up about how “bad” they are . I find it interesting that you as a libertarian would buy into that capitalist propaganda
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/23 04:12 AM
2

Sure and I see it too, but with an ever changing work environment and women being able to contribute to society in a bigger way than ever, we should adapt to that, but that’s just my opinion. I would have to do a lot more research to discuss the point further
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/23 04:00 AM
1

Oh I’ve never heard that, do you have any sources?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/23 03:59 AM
4

So you think Emma watsons value was solely based on her being a woman
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/23 03:58 AM
1

Ok and what would be the deal breaker for a prospective partner as far as their beliefs go
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/23 03:57 AM
2

Good points, I can agree with a lot but I think ultimately making the workplace less hostile towards women would help us utilize the skills the bring to the table
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/23 03:53 AM
4

And I appreciate your opinion but do you have any actual examples of this
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/23 03:37 AM
2

Fair enough. And thank you for acknowledging that, it nice to see a man not downplaying women’s roles. Yes men are utilized like meat shields and this is evident in history. However wars no longer involve ground armies like they use to so I think even that dynamic has changed. Also female dominated fields tend to have an Imbalance in regards to management. The majority of teachers are women, the majority of super intendants are men, the majority of nurses are women, the majority of nurse manager…
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/23 03:36 AM
2

Can you give me an example
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/23 03:25 AM
3

Men work more physically demanding and dangerous jobs. I don’t think denying is good for our society and trying to minimize these roles has been and is damaging to our society. But women can make meaningful contributions to society now more than ever. However even in jobs where physical strength doesn’t play a factor, men still hold higher positions and wages.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/23 03:25 AM
5

Whatever the reasoning behind it, there’s no denying that with those corporate jobs, higher wages, and power in politics comes more privileges
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/23 03:22 AM
8

Expand, I’m wiling to hear it, how do men have it worse?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/23 03:16 AM
2

Lol it sure is
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/23 03:15 AM
5

Don’t forget, we have the privilege of getting a c”@&. Crammed into us anytime we want. What could be better than that
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/23 03:09 AM
0

How so
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/23 03:08 AM
6

It’s not hard to quantify. All presidents have been male. Males dominate corporate representation, men make way more money than women over all. The whole, but women can get stuffed whenever isn’t a compelling argument lol
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/23 03:06 AM
6

Objectively speaking, men have more representation in politics, higher average earnings, and a higher representation in higher up corporate roles.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/23 03:03 AM
1

Interesting. I’m assuming you are right leaning. Is this part of your exclusion process? What values does a woman have to have to have to make the cut for you?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/23 02:37 AM
1

I don’t think this is common
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/23 02:19 AM
1

What do you want think is the problem? Are there no women who are right leaning or conservative?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/23 02:17 AM

I know haha I was just screwing around
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/23 12:57 AM

I don’t even spend 300 dollars on skin care
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/23 12:39 AM

You capitalized Common like it was a name. Who’s this guy?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/23 12:38 AM
2

Sweet let’s go. I’m so fucking bored lmao
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/23 12:37 AM
1

I don’t know man. I know zero dudes that meet that standard and I know many dudes in a full blown relationship or who actively date
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/23 12:37 AM
1

Fair points. No shame to men and women who want one night stands btw. If you’re not looking for sex with no ties it is what it is but ya I think there’s gotta be a more rigorous standard for people who actually want relationships and that’s not a value that’s prioritized in modern dating. Dating apps are viciously superficial and social media encourages division because it’s a sick circus of entertainment with no oversight lol
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/23 12:19 AM
1

Really? I mean i know plenty of women who take care of themselves, hell I’m one of them. Also getting dick at that size… like… dick isn’t that great and anyone can tell you that being fit and healthy has way more benefits than that he ability to be stuffed by mediocre dick lmao
/r/PurplePillDebate10/11/23 11:53 PM
2

Your right. That’s not a high bar to meet. What’s standing in your way? And I’m not being felicitous, i actually want to know what the barriers are here because I don’t know what it’s like to be a guy
/r/PurplePillDebate10/11/23 11:37 PM
2

This might be true. I’ve seen unnecessary scrutiny placed on men in some situations to be sure. Without specific context I can’t argue this really. I would have to make assumptions about you that I clearly couldn’t possibly know to counter your statement. So here’s what I will say. You deserve to have standards just as women do. You deserve to be selective with who you date just as women do. You do not deserve to shame, humiliate, or verbally harass women who don’t meet those standards. The wome…

All of the things!!! Yes!!!
/r/PurplePillDebate10/11/23 11:00 PM

Ya, maybe there needs to be a push for men valuing themselves like there’s been a push for women to do so. Sometimes I think it’s the pressure to sleep with as many women as possible that makes things hard for men. We need to stop pretending like genuine human connection isn’t important for men.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/11/23 10:49 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate10/11/23 10:36 PM

Which preferences?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/11/23 10:22 PM
3

Ya those are all decent takes. Idk man. Kinda just sounds like a lot of people are frustrated because they feel dehumanized in some way or another. This flies in the face of what we all really want which is connection. Fuck the internet. It encourages a lack of humanity in exchange for entertainment. You deserve to be treated like a human being. I sincerely wish you the best

/r/PurplePillDebate10/11/23 10:06 PM

I’m not being intentionally dishonest and I resent the implication that I’m trying to cause harm when all I’m trying to do is have a discussion. Can you give me examples of this demonization?

Would you date a woman you see as beneath you?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/11/23 10:01 PM

Yes! Plus graphics. Something sparkly and colorful
/r/PurplePillDebate10/11/23 09:37 PM
6

Well I’m not gonna sit here and deny your experience. I believe that you probably deal with a lot of unfairness. To me your preferences sound crazy reasonable. Sorry man, you really do deserve to have a preference and I’ll keep this conversation in mind when talking about stuff like this
/r/PurplePillDebate10/11/23 09:36 PM
2

When I was 18 I started dating a hot guy who had a lot of money. He was 24 and played poker for a living. He was fucking insufferable. No sense of humor and a crazy amount of entitlement. I broke it off. The guy I’m with now makes slightly less than me and makes me laugh and values me as a person. I guess it’s just funny to me to read about women are only concerned with dating up when the factors that go into my preferences are super detailed
/r/PurplePillDebate10/11/23 09:34 PM
5

Uh ya. Just like I said with the fat guy thing. Just because he’s not my type doesn’t mean I’m going to go around shouting to everyone about how I don’t like fat guys. I guess I am kind of doing that here Ugh even the fact that I’m saying it on here kind of makes me feel bad because I wouldn’t want an overweight guy reading this and thinking “well fuck me i guess”. The point is you can have preferences and still allow people to maintain their dignity even if they don’t match that preference
/r/PurplePillDebate10/11/23 09:31 PM
0

Lol I know it’s true. I’ve experienced exactly what you’re saying, I think I’m a monster who shouldn’t be let out of the house on some days and on others I feel crazy hot. It’s just shockingly amusing to see it put into words
/r/PurplePillDebate10/11/23 09:28 PM
3

No no Im not offended. The straightforwardness of the sentence just surprised me lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/11/23 09:26 PM
6

Ok so maybe don’t take things people say on the internet to heart? According to this sub I’m a heartless monster who is incapable of loving anyone and only wanting cash as compensation for my lovely presence. I do not let that influence what I do with my dating life
/r/PurplePillDebate10/11/23 09:25 PM
5

But why would anyone call you a misogynist? You can have a preference for women and not go around shouting about that preference and still get to keep that preference. That’s the thing I’m not getting. At what point in searching for a partner who matches your type are you getting shamed? Is it just when you share your opinions online or is it when you turn down a date with a woman?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/11/23 09:23 PM
5

By who?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/11/23 09:19 PM

No I’m trying to say having preferences is totally allowed. Men can choose what type of women they want. Let’s say you don’t want a fat chick. Fair enough, I’m not into fat dudes so I get it. But when I let that fat dude down I’m not gonna tell him it’s because he’s fat. I’ll try to spare his feelings and continue on in my search of men who do meet my preferences. Having preferences doesn’t mean you can be rude with impunity.

Why do you think you aren’t allowed to have preferences
/r/PurplePillDebate10/11/23 09:14 PM

Wow. I’m not saying you’re wrong but that is an interesting sentence for sure

Oh sure, I think that’s true. but I’m not quite sure what you mean in regards to the argument. But I didn’t really address your points either. I Can tell you for me, I love to feel sexy and even get looks and I love to not feel sexy sometimes and just wear sweat pants and a big sweater. When I’m in heels and my outfit is super sexy, I expect and even enjoy getting looks. I don’t enjoy men thinking it’s ok to harass me lol. It’s just about behaving in public in a way that values the idea that we …

I don’t like how we completely ignore self accountability in men on this. If you would allow the way someone dresses to dictate how you treat a person it’s a sign of your own mental weakness. You can still be responsible for how you treat people if they aren’t dressed the way you want them to be lol

Haha my bad. Have a good one stranger
/r/PurplePillDebate10/11/23 06:02 AM

Man A will get one type of woman and man B will get another. Generally speaking both will be equally successful in finding women who suit their taste and who suit the women’s taste.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/11/23 05:55 AM

But like where in general? East coast, west coast, college campuses, workplace, or is this opinion of yours based solely in an online world?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/11/23 05:40 AM

So options. Makes sense. Obviously you will assume that environment plays a role right? One man might succeed in one environment and fail in another?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/11/23 05:36 AM

So you’re not violent. You just enjoy seeing women get hurt as long as you think they deserve it. Got it

What do you define as success in dating
/r/PurplePillDebate10/11/23 05:23 AM

Which guy can make me laugh? It’s the most charismatic guy for me but ultimately it depends on what the woman values in this hypothetical situation. I think I don’t understand some men’s quantity over quality preference, who will get more!!!!??? What about the actual people involved, you ever think they might be looking for genuine connection and companionship?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/11/23 04:02 AM

No it’s everyone. What you’re seeing in women is what we are seeing in men. Lack of personal accountability

But have you tried laying food out under a cardboard box propped up by a stick. Here’s the super tricky part, you have to tie a string to that stick and wait out (unseen obviously) until the unsuspecting female ventures by. The type of female you get will depend on type of bait you use. Want a basic white girl, Starbucks obviously. Nerdy girls love video game related bait. Fitness girls can be tricky, I know you think a salad would work but they are a lot more wiley than that, specific protein p…

here look at page 17 of the research https://www.pewresearch.org/social-trends/wp-content/uploads/sites/3/2020/08/PSDT_08.20.20.dating-relationships.full_.report.pdf
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/23 05:12 AM
1

well you have to take into account those who aren't looking either which the research said was quite a bit. Both young men and young women polled saying they weren't looking for a relationship. Where do they factor into those numbers?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/23 05:11 AM
1

Ok man. If you say so.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/23 05:06 AM
1

but only 25% of dating apps consist of women and 75% of men. I think they are just not accounting for the 25-29 year old women who are dating 30-35 year old men. I mean isn't it a common thing you guys harp on about with dating younger women.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/23 05:05 AM
3

Yeah I think so too to some extent. There are also other inconsistencies. Women in general date older men. The study's cut off was 29 I think. That means if 25-29 year old women were dating 30-35 year old men, it would skew the data to say young women are in a relationship without accounting for the 18-29 year old men
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/23 05:03 AM
1

but have you? personally?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/23 05:00 AM
1

I just don't think it works out like that. I think if this were the case we would all hear more about it. I think dating apps have skewed the data and we only have one study to go on which may be flawed since its never been replicated

better than believing it does with zero proof tbh
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/23 04:56 AM

In my circles that goes both ways. If she can't get him to commit she is open to other men.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/23 04:51 AM

Every single woman in my social circle who hasn't gotten a man to commit doesn't stay exclusive to that man either.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/23 04:50 AM
2

No but I believe my own experience. And in the absence of proof on reddit and the absence of proof from others' personal experiences I think its safe to put that notion aside. I certainly wouldn't base my opinion of women on the belief of some elusive Chad.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/23 04:49 AM

Ya that's it. the numbers vary because of the amount of article written on it.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/23 04:47 AM

https://www.pewresearch.org/social-trends/wp-content/uploads/sites/3/2020/08/PSDT_08.20.20.dating-relationships.full_.report.pdf here is the full report. I keep trying to look for more info on it but its a singular study, no replication, not a lot more to it.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/23 04:28 AM

There are people dying of wars, famine, dictatorship all over the world. Even people from other countries weigh in on reddit to say, Oh ya I have experienced this. But the Chad harem? No one has. Even on this sub there is not one person who has seen this personally
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/23 04:24 AM

Also Autism has a pretty wide spectrum. When we are talking about being socially awkward its one thing but if we are considering this data, women getting more relationships, and it applies to the more severe types of autism its a little concerning.

/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/23 12:46 AM

haha yea human relationships are so complicated. it makes sense though, way more sense than the 10% of chads having a harem lmao
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/23 12:44 AM

so 30% of men are chads?

I get this too, I know guys like this and I usually taking the flirting just to flirt very well. Its fun but it really only happens with guys I know. I can think of a couple of incidents in the last week, one at work and one at a party but I knew both guys. Being approached by a stranger is weird though. I think its just a natural reaction

However this really woulnd't support your 10% of chads getting all the action here. It sounds like 30% of chads are getting 60% of women. Not quite the extreme picture you guys paint it to be

ohhhh I see why you downvoted my comment now lol
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/23 12:19 AM

Maybe its because women report being in a relationship because they think they are and men report not being in one because they don't think they are but both parties are chatting and viewing it differently. I know it sounds weird but that's one theory. For instance, before sex a women might consider consistent interaction a relationship while the man doesn't consider it the same way because sex hasn't happened. Also young women dating older guys, or identifying as lesbians, or bi. Either way its…

All positive interactions I have had with men in the dating realm have not really been like this. There is a back and forth flirting component. I especially like when they tease you a little, and then you tease them back. Nothing makes me happier than when a guy thinks I'm funny and vibes off of the banter. There is always a clear interest in me in these scenarios, and I always have a clear interest in them. I'm WITH you. and your WITH me. IDK though I might be misunderstanding. I want to add an…

I'm not sure which part is self defeating here. That you offered examples of how some people just have it good and others don't and there's nothing to be done. Do you think that telling young men that if they aren't incredibly good looking or rich that they should give up is a problem. Every single time I talk to men about how they have tried their luck outside of the internet they will not give me a direct answer All too often, social media and other modern-day factors are reducing face-to-face…

But nobody has the right to relationships or being attractive to the people you want to be attractive to, or having people overlook certain things they don't like and accepting you despite unattractive (according to them) actions you made. Agreed, that's why posts where men complaining about women not wanting them can be so irritating

Men have been conditioned to not want this, when in truth it is their literal preference. Should I assume this is based on your extensive research regarding the preference of men that spans across all cultures and societies

I think its funny that the influence of Christianity's attempt of controlling sexuality is so deeply ingrained in these guys that they believe the doctrine so fully without being able to articulate or think critically about the reason behind it.

I understand but in your argument the refugee transported to the West would have adapted to the circumstances surrounding his new life. I feel like there is a direct connection to this opinion, (I can’t control how tall i am, I can’t control how society doesn’t value me, I can’t fight agains an overwhelming negative view on my worth as a person) and the criticism of female contribution to society
/r/PurplePillDebate26/08/23 06:32 AM

So I know you probably think my view is that we don't need men in general but that isn't at all true. I am fully aware of the differences in biological strength and I do think men are necessary and, at least for me, wanted in our society. I just don't think biological differences in strength negate the worth that women can have in the workplace. That's all

This post is terrible imho. Because the reality is lets say Men from age 18-50 you might come across on streets to around your home from when you are aged 8 or 9 till about 16 is in thousands if not more. I mean at the end of the day this is your post. I started the conversation with genuine intent and the responses I received... I mean you know what they look like. Is this what a genuine conversation when addressing the topics you are concerned about should look like in your mind?

feminine ethics stops them from being greedy douchebags squeezing every ounce of self-interest from mutual or entirely gifted labor for themselves Well since you are presenting the question in such a diplomatic way I have no reason not to invest my time and energy into answering you genuinely. I legitimately wonder if women would have done the same in a matriarchy. In regards to explaining our worth when prompted?

A random guy might not help protect you, but a boyfriend absolutely would protect you. So to answer your original question, men bring protection to the table. Is my boyfriend going to be required to jog with me? If you had a boyfriend he would have protected you. But you didn’t so you had no one to protect you. Is my boyfriend going to be required to jog with me? Is my boyfriend going to be required to go to every girls night (my girlfriends stepped in with the concert one) Was my boyfriend going to transport back in time to be there for my 12 year old self? the very next time you complain about men's issues not being taken seriously I want you to think about the replies I receive on this comment

maybe we need to shift attitudes. Imagine sharing three scary scenarios and having three men jump in to laugh at you in the first five minutes of the comments

Oh and in every single one of those situations, you don't think having a man with your would've prevented that? Because you're both saying a man isn't going to protect you while also so 'i feared for my life in these situations'? But they didn't Is my boyfriend going to be required to jog with me? Is my boyfriend going to be required to go to every girls night (my girlfriends stepped in with the concert one) Was my boyfriend going to transport back in time to be there for my 12 year old self?

don't wanna answer this question huh? I mean I get why but its pretty frustrating if I am being honest. The women you are talking about will probably never know about this post. It's those of us who are here that bear the brunt of your judgement.

haha I remember that post. 11 I was with my mom in a restaurant and a group of men stared and made comments loud enough for us both to hear. My mom was pissed but there was nothing we could do about it really. This is one of many, but definitely the one that pisses me off the most

It was a guy who pulled over on an empty road while I was jogging and then sped off the second I pointed my phone at him. It was a man who tried to follow me into the bathroom at a concert event. Cognitive empathy doesn't literally mean who have to feel what the other person is feeling but rather that you understand how they feel. For instance, I can look at someone with a broken leg and think about times in my life where my mobility was limited and therefore I would be able to empathize on a certain level.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/08/23 11:22 PM
3

So what is the driving factor for caring of members of our social group who experience hardship that isn't common. For instance, I have never broken my leg and i have met few people who have but it seems our society comes together and looks after someone who has experienced this.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/08/23 11:06 PM

So I am late to the party here but there are scenarios where I swear I am as dense as a slab of granite. I feel like most men I interact with regularly are perfectly nice to me (this is kind of outside of dating scenarios so maybe it doesn't apply), like friends of friends, co-workers, or anyone you see regularly and it NEVER occurs to me that they are interested, which is fine because its not a dating scenario. But so many times I will hear from another person that they are into me or talk abou…

For male loneliness, we need to provide male spaces and understand that men bond differently than women This is valid. I think that we as a society have been trying to become more equal and to do it there is a measure of trial and error. I think at the time, right in the beginning of the metoo movement it was harder for people to understand the complexities of how this would have an effect on men. That's a gross over simplification of the discussion that's going on here but I mean you did just directly link men's right's not going anywhere to women being too fragile. If you wanna have a conversation about men's rights that's fine but time and time again when I ask sincerely what steps we should take to address these problems one of two things happen. The man walks away from the conversation the man points to a petty grievance he personally has against women. For instance. Can you help me …

/r/PurplePillDebate24/08/23 01:56 AM

So we can still vilify women even when they are fighting for this kind of equality and have been the victim of this equality. The draft argument is pretty layered. Women were banned from combat role up until 2013. Men banned women from serving. Men created laws which excused women from the draft. Its very telling that when the combat ban was lifted, the number of women who have joined has increased. The increase happened in spite of the fact that women face quite a bit of harassment in the military. This doesn't quite align with the idea that women are the cause of or in support of the restrictions that you feel showca…

Ya, looks like things are getting better for women, yay. Women in the dating world have a massive advantage over average men (to be fair, top 10% men have the most power here as most women are fighting for a top 10% man) this claim I don't believe. Both people are looking for companionship. That varies wildly between people depending on what they value in a relationship but I personally reducing the process to an exchange of products is not only unhelpful, it’s kind of self sabotage

That’s the thing, you want a tangible explanation on traditional dating but in traditional dating it wasn’t just the man’s duty to initiate the ceremony, but his right (women haven’t always been encouraged to initiate the dating process) so in a traditional sense the woman participated in the dating ceremony (it’s kind of gross to talk about it like this lol) and basically, your gonna hate this, but the woman’s contribution was her time and attention. As most of the comments here mention, there is a flaw to your question. I wouldn't dismiss the idea out of hand to be honest. I don't think people are getting advice on serious life decisions from reddit (god I hope not) but there might be some merit to the combination of toxic advice from uninvested parties and a cultural movement of women opting out of marriage more. The question now is, is it comparable to the amount of women who would have stayed in unhappy marriages?

The problem with dating is the fact that so many men base their opinions of it off of dating apps. For instance, I think its well known that while women don't find men as immediately attractive as men find women, women also value attractiveness less. Dating sites literally force you to choose based on attraction. The guy has no chance to showcase their personality. And generally when this opinion is made men on this site pop out of the wood works to argue that women do value attractiveness. When…

Mens quality of life and health is poor because of women’s workplace needs The reason I say this is because of societal expectations of men and women. If men don’t want to work or be a stay at home dad it’s seen as selfish and lazy. Nobody thinks women are lazy for not wanting to work. The stigmatization of men being stay at home parents doesn't really relate to this as before women entered the workplace this was less of an option. It’s also important to note that most women usually only want …

Are you really that scared of finding information that will back up your point?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/08/23 05:00 AM

Dude you are asking me to do in depth research for you when you already dismissed the information I provided. You want me to spoon feed you information you know you are just going to spit out like a toddler who hates mashed peas? Why do you think this is an acceptable way to argue a point?

So you just can't trust any source huh? So stay uninformed... its better for the rest of us this way

bro. You cherry picked and still came up short. you read "black woman" and then immediately stopped reading. If homicide is the leading cause of death in black women who are pregnant it is a major issue we should all be concerned about and invested in finding a solution for. also at the end of the day if you refuse to inform yourself you are left at the mercy of those who do. Don't cry about inequality related to child support when you can't even be bothered to read an article or two fully.

Man, imagine if you had the ability to find counter sources that disproved my point and the data linked in the articles I provided. But you can't do that can you. I bet you even did a quick search and saw that you couldn't back up your claim with data and then immediately abandoned it. Good thing you have an unlimited supply of "trust me bro" in your back pocket

So you didn't read it...any of it? AND you still feel entitled to your strong opinion without doing any research yourself. The CNN thing that you dismissed out of hand was one of several links in that article, for instance, did you look at this one? https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/36075083/ There is a plethora of information in all three of these sites but you didn't actually look at them did you? I even offered to answer questions for you so you wouldn't have to do the back breaking labor of re…

yeah.... I went ahead and did the research for you and your claim doesn't stand. It's unfortunate, I was hoping this horrifying statistic had a flaw but it doesn't. Most of the reason for this rise in likelihood of murder is due to increased vulnerability, economic stress, and increased barriers to leaving an abusive relationship. Here are some sources. https://www.cdc.gov/reproductivehealth/maternal-mortality/pregnancy-mortality-surveillance-system.htm https://www.hsph.harvard.edu/news/hsph-in-…

Eh, spinster is a harsh term. Sounds like her life is just better when she doesn't have to factor in child rearing. And that's ok too. I think it sounds nice to have kids but I would sure as hell want to make sure the environment surrounding that decision is preferable to me before I do so.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/08/23 03:09 AM

Your guess is correct but not because I don't want to have short, homeless, depressed children. It's because I don't want to have sex with that guy. Look I get that having kids isn't inherently evil. But I absolutely do not support pushing the rampant and unchecked multiplication of humans for no reason other than we all think we are special. regulation on reproduction is a good thing

I don't think so. I personally like leaner men vs. bulky muscles and I certainly am not attracted to men who are over weight. I don't think having a preference for a body type isn't problematic.

Strawman: Fallacy of relevance since majority of men that dealt with women had a very unpleasant experience at least once (divorce rape, badmouthing, making up things to make him look bad and some men even get killed by their partners) The fallacy of relevance pertains to the original post more than my comment. He is arguing a superficially similar position (comparing interpersonal relationships aspects to women's safety concerns when it comes to assault) Me addressing the fallacy of his argumen…

This might be racism to be honest and it sucks for both you and your girl. However, the reaction you got may be based more on the area where you live and peoples attitudes rather than the mindset of women all over the U.S. We have an exchange program where I live and so there are many foreign, college age girls and i DO see hatefulness directed at them by other women here but again I attribute it to racism and xenophobia (also a touch of jealousy, the exchange students are super hot!). I always …

You’re accusing me of making arguments /u/Labayaccount123 made. Oh shit my bad And you still engaged with the hypothetical scenario as if it were real. When someone says “If Chad did X, Y, and Z,” responding with “WHY WOULD CHAD DO X, Y, AND Z IN THE FIRST PLACE” is not responding to the hypothetical. What is the point of a hypothetical if we don't agree that the situation is realistic?

Look at you getting fussy, do you need to take a second? You responded as if it were a real, actual situation. You either have poor reading comprehension or you’re not very bright. When you base your argument on a hypothetical, you are agreeing to argue with the perception that the claim you made is assumed. I engaged and debated with you based on YOUR hypothetical scenario. When you were faced with the fact that even though we were arguing under the hypothetical YOU outlined, you contradicted…

That was something we call a “hypothetical scenario”. They are not based on actual situations. So you contradicted yourself, condescendingly explained what a hypothetical was to me, and didn't address the point I made. I made this point because we agreed to engage in a hypothetical scenario. You don't get to jump off your own boat because you can't think of a reply dude. I didn’t, actually. but you did say that in some capacity when you said men would marry every girl just to have sex. If you express an interest in the country you are going to your chances for being accepted into the program are much higher. While you don't need a degree it might be a good idea to get your associates or bachelors before trying but where there's a will there's a way.

Two things Wait what? Why would Chad need to dupe me into marriage if he can already have sex with me? Which one is it? Also, Men and women both allow someone who they are extremely attracted to to treat them badly. This is a human problem. You literally just said you would marry ANY WOMAN who would let you have sex with her. You accuse me of not caring about a guys intention?

If Chad wants to marry me great! If not, at least I will enjoy my time with him while it lasts. Both scenarios are better than being duped into marrying someone who hates me and all other women and only married me to have sex with me.

Good for him. The point still stands. I don't want to marry a dude who is only interested in having sex with me.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/08/23 09:46 PM

No, women don't want you to self-delete and assigning evil intent to all women is a clear indicator that you are looking for a green light to hate on women. Women preferring attractive men is no more evil than men preferring attractive women.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/08/23 09:33 PM

as long as they are not violent it shall not be a problem but theirs Women softly rejecting men are also not violent. What is your point here?

men would marry every girl just to have sex. Why in the hell would I want a man to marry me JUST to have sex with me? Does it ever occur to you that women have thoughts, emotions, pride, etc? At least Chad is honest.

It's not really a fair comparison. I mean we are essentially talking about building a mature adult relationship based off of mutual respect here. The question of men making women feel safer in public spaces is related to random attacks, the scenario you are describing is interpersonal and quite frankly a risk associated with developing a relationship with another person, male or female. For instance, what steps do men take to make sure other men are less fearful of these types of attacks. (bad m…

It's not a man's problem if she is offended by your approach. And it is not the woman's problem if your feelings are hurt by her reaction.

This is how most relationships start. Cold approaching is fun in movies but it doesn't actually happen that often (successfully any way) for either gender. It just seems like that in movies.

I think you're over thinking it. Women don't approach because at the very least it never crossed their mind in first place because of societal norms. Hell in some places and times its actively discouraged for them to do so. This assigning evil intent to actions that are benign is alarming. I keep seeing it on this sub
