i dont want to sound like im complaining over something petty, but their explanation is what was jarring to me. also, i cant imagine there EVER being a men only marathon because "guys have more fun and can just be themselves around other guys". that just seems ridiculous to me.

yeah, all of my cousins (the kid's brothers) do St. Baldricks every year. and i mean, i almost feel petty letting this get to me so much. like, it doesnt really affect me that much. but i feel like if they just gave a good reason for the run to be women only, id be OK with it. their explanation is what made me say "wait, wtf?". and the fact that my co-ed gym with no separate men or womens nights or machines or sections of the place other than the bathrooms is advertising this to everyone. its li…

When I saw when Sharon fucked with Iron Maiden's Ozzfest set, I hated her. When I learned that shes a hypocritical, misandric, vile piece of shit, it fueled the fire. God, I hate this bitch.

Care for a source? I'm not trying to doubt you, but in my experience women and men get equal pay for equal work. I'd love a source so I can be better prepared for when I discuss the wage gap with others.

i dont know the specifics, but what i do know is that i hear about home invasions and assaults and murders far too often to assume that an intruder is not going to physically harm me. it doesnt matter if you live in the suburbs or inner city or in the projects or in a mansion. if someone you dont know is in your house for a reason that you are not aware of, you have every right to assume hostility. questioning the "shoot first, ask later" mentality? thats fine and dandy, but im not planning on a…

uh, it happens. every day on the news you hear about murder. very often do home invasions result in the murder of someone in the family, if not all of the family. violent break-ins are especially prevalent in bad neighborhoods or places near bad neighborhoods. but again, it doesnt matter if its common or not. if someone is in my house and i do not know why, im going to do everything in my power to get them out and keep my family and my home safe. their intent doesnt matter. would you just let so…

uh, theyre in my house and i dont know why. for me, this is reason enough to use deadly force. their intention could be to take my tv, or it could be to murder everyone in my house. i dont know, and im not going to ask, im just going to do everything in my power to get them out, which may or may not result in the death of the intruder.

True, and I definitely understand your point of view. I mean in reality if I was in an emergency situation, I'd probably try to help whoever I could without putting myself in greater danger. At least I'd like to think I would.

not trying to be a dick, but in a life-or-death situation, im saving myself before grandpa and joe shmo in a wheelchair... kids, i dont know. if its a situation where survival is necessary after the life-or-death situation, id save myself first and help those suited for survival second, which definitely does not include the disabled or the elderly. i think able bodies are more important than senior citizens and disabled people in emergency situations.

I've seen plenty of stuff here that disproved that. Search "circumcision" and limit the search to this sub, I'm on my mobile so I cent really link you to anything, but I can pretty much guarantee you'll find some good leads.

ah shit, i was remembering the wrong statistic. my bad. i remembered seeing this a while ago here and saw a 2010 CDC survey on sexual violence that showed that 44% of perpetrators of sexual violence are women and 56% are men. my bad. my bad everybody. i was thinking about the wrong thing.
/r/MensRights13/01/13 06:52 PM

For one, factually inaccurate. Look, I'm not siding with feminists or anything. I'm just saying that facts are facts and we can't get mad at them. EDIT i was thinking of a different statistic, BlackKnighter is right. my bad everybody.
/r/MensRights13/01/13 03:27 PM

the last time i checked, men are still the higher percentage of people who commit sexual violence. it wasnt by much (something like 6-10% if i remember correctly), but technically what he said wasnt factually inaccurate. not that im defending "MEN RAPE MOAR" claims, im just saying, this guy did a very good job explaining and i dont see anything wrong with stating facts.

seriously. respect? yes. that should be mutual in a relationship/marriage. sex? i dont know about that one. i love my girlfriend, but sex is nowhere near the top in my list of important things. sure, without any sex id begin to worry about our relationship, but after being together for such a long time, sex really isnt a top priority. in the beginning of our relationship, we would have sex every day, occasionally more than once. but after being together for so long, living together, and being de…

not even just that... by circumcising for this reason, you are sexualizing an infant child. i hate it. just because he has a penis automatically means that he will be having sex with (multiple) partners who may be HIV+. do these people not think that abstaining from cutting his dick and then teaching him about condoms when he is old enough to have sex is the better option? "Hey Johnny, you might notice that you want to have sex now. Remember to always use a condom. Also, some people think that t…

ugh... you are impossible. do you happen to be a brick wall? the problem is that PART OF YOUR DICK IS CUT OFF, NEVER TO BE RETURNED. the simple solution is that THIS SHOULD NOT HAPPEN unless you choose to do it yourself. and about different feelings- again, you are misunderstanding. im not saying you cant experience orgasms. im saying that they feel different. you can touch your glans with no problem. an intact penis's glans is unbelievably sensitive. if you cant get it through your head that UN…

i saw that below. i dont think that person told you to get checked out because you arent mad about being circ'd, though. that kind of undisturbable faith in your parents is not healthy and you should consider examining it with a psychiatrist of some sort. that person was talking about how disturbing it is that you think a parent tattooing an infant is ok. im sorry to hear that your father was misguided, despite having good intentions. ive never had a problem cleaning my intact penis. the disturb…
/r/MensRights05/01/13 04:14 AM

i think youre looking at this the wrong way, dude. nobody is suggesting that you are broken or somehow less of a person if you are circ'd. nobody is saying that you should be mad that you were cut as an infant (unless you feel mad yourself). the argument being made is that men shouldnt be put in this situation in the first place by having something forced upon them.

so because the baby cant say "no", its ok to cut off part of its penis? im beginning to think that you are too far gone to even converse with.

why not a swastika? im the parent. its my decision, right? as long as it is on my kid's inner thigh where nobody will see it and he can cover it, why does it matter? so what youre saying is that simply because something seems to be a cultural norm, it is ok and completely ethical to perform unnecessary actions that will change the infant's life forever? here's another idea. since parents have legal rights over their children until age 18 (in the US at least), would it be alright for a parent to …
/r/MensRights05/01/13 03:10 AM

im pretty sure OP is a troll. he and i had a discussion about tattooing infants, and apparently it would be completely ethical as long as its on a baby's inner thigh where nobody would see it.
/r/MensRights05/01/13 03:06 AM
1

Yes, it is ridiculous, and I'm starting to believe you are either a troll or just completely ignorant. and did not cause excessive pain to the child Is circumcision painless? missing earlobes would be much more noticeable to the general public than a missing foreskin. Does this matter? if there were a completely painless way to tattoo There isn't. And there isn't a completely painless way to circumcise, either. It's my understanding (and I will conceded that this is not a very educated understan…
/r/MensRights05/01/13 02:48 AM

Okay, let me put it this way: do you believe that it would be ethical to tattoo an infant?
/r/MensRights05/01/13 02:32 AM
1

So you have no problem performing cosmetic surgery routinely on non consenting infants? I like tattoos and piercings, can I tattoo and pierce my infant son?
/r/MensRights05/01/13 02:29 AM
0

I'm no doctor or medical expert, but I do know that plenty (I believe 20,000 something?) of nerve endings are lost in the removal of the foreskin. Not to mention the natural lubrication and protection provided by it. Performing a cosmetic surgery on a non-consenting infant seems pretty unethical to me. I'm not saying that you should feel bad about having a circ'd penis, I'm just saying that it is most definitely mutilation.
/r/MensRights05/01/13 02:19 AM
3

It certainly doesn't deprive any male of it's use. I think you need to do a little reading, son. Well I don't think that it radically alters the penis. Really?
/r/MensRights05/01/13 02:11 AM
4

Can you explain why you don't feel that it is mutilation? In my opinion, those definitions can definitely be applied to circumcision. I would like for you to explain why you think they can not be.

i would say the wording is quite clear. Being drunk shouldn't remove consent. self explanatory. a drunk decision should not be an invalid decision. Since you consented to being mentally impaired by drinking, all decisions made when drunk shouldn't be considered invalid. youre a big boy/girl, and you made the conscious decision to consume alcohol to the point of being intoxicated. you know that drinking may impair your decisions, but since you made the sober decision to get drunk, you were aware …

I always park in "expecting women" spots. There are like 20 spots designated for them. Fuck that. I got a dirty look one time with my obviously not pregnant girlfriend. what? The sign doesn't say what the woman has to be expecting!
/r/MensRights11/11/12 02:27 AM
2

Yeah. How much they sway from the actual crime depends on the episode but my girlfriend is a huge fan and has all the box sets of the seasons, that's all discussed in the making ofs and behind the scenes stuff. But yeah, good show. Actually last weeks new episode was about some crazy woman who murdered men and pregnant women for natural medicines. So I'd say they do a fair job showing the violent side of women.

Criminal Minds actually does a good job of evening it out. It's mostly men but they base all the episodes off of real crimes that actually occurred.

this is atrocious. out of curiosity, i browsed for a while and searched for myself, and the towns i live in/near. nothing came up, luckily. while reading the FAQ i began to realize what a horse-shit site this was, though. theres absolutely no way that this could be anything serious. is it awful? yes. is it something to be concerned with? i dont think so.

i meant that you probably wouldnt say "retarded" in a professional setting when referring to people with disabilities. again, its not that you cant say these words, its that it is more respectful not to when trying to get a point across and trying to have people take you seriously. i suppose you just dont fully understand what im trying to say. i have no problem with words- what i do find a problem with is when people use dumb words in a setting in which they are unnecessary and detrimental. im …

im not saying your intent is to harm, im saying the word does harm sometimes whether you want it to or not. its the same reason you wouldnt say "retarded" in a professional setting. there is a negative connotation, despite you not intending there to be. someone with dwarfism of any kind is not properly referred to as a 'midget', the proper term really is 'little person'. again, im not trying to coach your language or change you. im saying that in a setting like this, where the MRM is constantly …

i dont do political correctness, either. and it isnt for arbitrary reasons. i didnt know this for my entire life, but my girlfriend had a little brother who was a little person and i witnessed first hand what the word 'midget' could do to someone's self esteem and overall mental health. its not a matter of political correctness, its a matter of respect. if you were dark skinned, your post wouldnt say "im dark but im no nigger!" would it? certainly im not saying you must change your vocabulary on…

it was, dont listen to Equivoke. i was about to post this link here last night but forgot- i wouldnt call this a meme post at all. its about a meme, yes, but its about the fact that a very sexist post made it to the front page and was met with upvotes and anti-male comments and nobody seemed to bat an eye. if you had posted your own Futurama Fry that said "NOT SURE IF SEXIST OR SEXIST" and then linked to the post, it would be silly. what you did was simply point out sexism.

True. I run at least a mile and a half a day at a 6.0-7.0 speed on a treadmill. Sometimes I'll run up to 3 miles. Every day I do this plus other light cardio and lifting. Running at 7.0 is tough enough to keep up for the mile, how could anyone run faster comfortably the whole time and have that be considered the norm? I'm not in the best shape of anyone ever, but I'm fairly fit I'd say.
