If you really want to be a scholar then go to a university. Studying at home is fine for general knowledge but there are infinite more benefits you learn when you actually sit with proper scholars and in circles of study, which you cannot get from sitting at home following a syllabus. Again, not hating on anyone trying to learn from home. Circumstances sometimes force it. But if you are serious about wanting to become a scholar, you must make sacrifices and sit with the scholars.
