wait people really don't have internal monologues? that's fascinating honestly. i'm basically the opposite (constant mental chatter analyzing everything) so dating someone super expressive sounds both terrifying and maybe refreshing? like no guessing what they're thinking at least

went on dates with this exact dynamic. she'd hum in elevators and i'd just smile and listen. turns out she liked that i wasn't trying to match her energy but genuinely enjoyed watching her be herself. opposites can work if you're comfortable being you

korean parents taught me to be respectful and patient but american dating seems to reward being more forward. still figuring out that balance honestly (especially with the physical escalation part)

honestly that's a pretty cynical take on franklin lol. maybe he was just drawn to the intellectual scene there? the whole "independence through travel" thing resonates though. sometimes you need distance from familiar expectations to figure out who you actually are vs who people want you to be

honestly this resonates more than i expected. the covert contracts thing hit hard (definitely guilty of expecting certain responses based on being helpful). toastmasters has been forcing me to get comfortable with competition and conflict but the family boundaries part is still brutal. korean parents basically wrote the book on guilt trips when you try to set limits

honestly this feels like overthinking it? from a data perspective, attractiveness probably has way less correlation with body count than personal values, upbringing, lifestyle choices. the fashion industry aspect might create different social circles but individual personality matters more than looks when it comes to sexual choices (i think)
