You misunderstand that the quotas don't apply to regular employment, just board membership of publicly traded companies. You further misunderstand that gender would not be the only criteria. The quota is for board membership not regular employment. I'm not advocating for that but it has been done in most European industrialized nations with some success. I think it won't work as well in the us actually because people like you with poor comprehension will misunderstand it and think women are being given the job they were trying for even though thats not what's going on.

Your argument doesn't really pass even cursory examination. If women are getting less opportunity for advancement and that's keeping their earnings down, it makes little difference if that denied advancement comes in the form of lack of promotion or lack of pay raises. The apparent fact that women are less likely to self promote is part of a systemic problem, not an explanation that makes it ok for them to have less opportunity and less career success. I don't have any easy solutions but getting people to admit there is a problem is the first step. One possible solution that has been implemented with some success in several European countries is gender quotas on the board membership of publicly traded companies. Most of Europe has either mandatory or voluntary minimums for female board membership, and the boards are the ones that make decisions on CxO positions, and those positions are the ones that make decisions on senior management position…

I'm familiar with the study that came up with that 95% figure. Even if it's accurate, that's still $85k over the median worker's lifetime. However, that 95% number is misleading. Crying is a physiological reaction. It's governed by a few hormones and minerals. Not shedding tears when you're upset doesn't make you strong and independent. It just makes you a person with low levels of the hormone prolactin, or maybe a potassium deficiency.

Link one that you believe refutes the data I linked or you are just talking out of your ass. Also, "here" could mean your town or county or city or state, even if you previously mentioned that you live in the US. We have now established that you claim women in the entire US, on average, do not have fewer accidents per mile driven, fewer DUIs, or fewer speeding tickets like they do in the UK, so show me your supporting evidence for you ur claim.
