Assuming he wants to keep his marriage, he should adopt. It's at least doing a good thing for the world. He could create an ethnically diverse family. Agreeing to a sperm bank pregnancy is literal cuckoldry.

They have NO WAY of improving their value - especially if their ugliness lies in a body shape that is not amenable to working out to make better (and that's true for many of them. Don't talk to me about plastic surgery -- it can improve a woman's looks maybe by a point or two at most -- medical science is too primitive to do more.) Wouldn't you be furious at the world if your problem had NO solution? I'm assuming you are excluding people with physical deformities and such, so I will say that ugl…

Well it is currently a topic of debate as to whether such barriers exist. I'm undecided on the issue, and I not convinced by the RP narrative. That said, I saw nothing indicative of a hostile culture towards woman at the university I attended. The point is though, as time goes on, cultural/social barriers will become a less valid excuse and the Feminist hamster media will be forced to confront the "biotroofs" (as they like to call them). Eventually their dogmatic beliefs will have the same statu…

When it comes to math and science, most of the famous discoveries (and recognizable names) come from a time where women were actively prevented from participating. An exceptionally talented few like Curie, and in particular Emmy Noether, were able to make their mark, but it is unfair to generalize about women based on the lack of success in that era. The real test will be the next 100 years as cultural, social, and (hopefully) financial barriers become increasingly removed (leaving only the very…

AWALT Isn't it understood that AWALT doesn't mean literally what it says, but rather it serves as a nice sounding reminder to not forget something important? The reason the US government never gets anything done is because they're bogged down by political correctness, we should learn from the mistakes of those around us. Political correctness puts arbitrary restrictions on what can be discussed. Often this coincides with us being unable to discuss the truth. This really doesn't have anything to …

no one cares how good you jack yourself off. Does anybody really care how good I am at piano? It doesn't make sense to learn something so involved for the few scenarios where some other human can recognize my skill. It's a minor perk at best. I play piano because I enjoy the feel and sound of playing it. There are thousands of other hobbies I could pick that people would care more about, but I don't because I don't care about them. PS: And just the lolz, I might actually be curious about someone…

Some games are genuinely hard to learn. Starcraft or any fighting game (Street Fighter etc.) come to mind. One can't just simply press buttons just as one can't simply press keys to play the piano. That said, the kind of deliberate learning necessary for these games is too much for the vast majority of gamers. They aren't very popular, as a consequence. Games like WoW are pretty much just pressing buttons. That game is a virtual Skinner box. These games shouldn't all be lumped together. Some req…

Would you say the same analysis applies to playing a musical instrument? I've recently replaced video games with learning Piano, which is something I've always wanted to do, but now I expend all this effort practicing and don't really go out. So have I just traded gaming for an even more demanding distraction? Fundamentally, music is more fulfilling than video games. It's more organic. It's much more real than some artificial world created by a bunch of underpaid programmers. But still it's ener…

Who says it's a revenge mentality? It often has that vibe, but it doesn't have to. This article had definite hints of it.

I don't like how refusing to date post-wall sluts is often presented as some sort of revenge. It's incredibly weak and petty to shun them for those reasons alone. The true justification should simply be that these women are low value and have very dishonest and transparent motives, and therefore are undatable. Feeling bitter and resentful strikes me as being somewhat purple pill. A red piller would accept that he was undatable in his 20s and seek to maximize his happiness from here on out.

This dude explains it pretty well. http://plover.net/~bonds/adhominem.html Might be worth a read, if you care enough about the true definition of the logical fallacy ad hominem.
/r/TheRedPill09/02/14 03:42 AM
1

argumentum ad hominem, is a general category of fallacies in which a claim or argument is rejected on the basis of some irrelevant fact about the author of or the person presenting the claim or argument http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ad_hominem It's pretty clear by the definition that mere insults do not qualify as argumentum ad hominem. In this case, the insult is just some baseless accusation that was tacked on to the end of his post. Nowhere is it used as even a minor part of his argument. Ther…
/r/TheRedPill09/02/14 03:33 AM

It's not a nitpick. It's actually crucial to the definition of argumentum ad hominem. To say that it need not be a fallacy is to misunderstand completely. Edit: It's worth noting that I am taking no stance about your position on science. I merely just want to clarify the meaning of ad hominem. This is in no attempt to discredit you.
/r/TheRedPill08/02/14 09:05 PM
-1

I saw it and recognized that it doesn't meet the criteria. It's just a statement of his opinion of you that he makes after revealing his entire argument. In order for it to be an ad hominem his argument would have to be something along the lines of "everyone here knows you are dumb so I'm not listening to a word you say" or something equally fallacious. You should familiarize with the definition. It's not the same thing as personal attack.

The problem is that justification is never given when people use the lock key argument. Even if it is justified it would still be wrong to extrapolate on the properties of locks and keys in order to prove something about men and women (which is what people do in this case). Argument by analogy is fallacious for obvious reasons and therefore shouldn't be encouraged on this subreddit. It just ends up being low hanging fruit for feminists and white knights to grab at to denounce TRP.

/r/TheRedPill09/01/14 09:24 PM

That is a deeply flawed argument. The analogy is nowhere justified. It is just implicitly assumed that women are somehow comparable to locks, and men to keys. The vague physiological resemblance between locks and vaginas is entirely meaningless here and cannot be used to justify the comparison. By using that analogy you are basically assuming your conclusion (and I shouldn't have to explain why that's bad). Its better to just argue directly in the way that the OP does. People who argue by analog…

Something I wonder about is when does a form of entertainment/leisure qualify as meaningful and ambitious, and when is it just an escapist waste of time? Does playing chess count as an escape? What about studying history? Both of those topics can have a small chance of allowing you to amass greater power or status (beat a CEO in chess to impress him, seduce a brainy girl with history knowledge). But they could also potentially help you in no way whatsoever. Now what about playing a strategic vid…

I think people just associate video games with neckbeard losers and don't realize that some videogames can actually be intellectually and socially rewarding. Also women don't really see much value in videogames as a hobby, but RP men aren't supposed to do things just to please women so I don't know what TRP stance on that is. That said, if all you do is play videogames then it's very likely that you will be socially deficient and quite boring in general.

You just have to accept that that's the way they are, and that it's really the men she's been with her entire life that made her fucked up like that, because they either allowed it or encouraged it. I'm a fan of this sub, but I get the feeling that this specific TRP rationalization is the hamster in the room that nobody is addressing. I think there are plenty of bitter STEM 80%er beta males will go head over heels for some post-wall woman the minute she starts giving them attention. As much as TRP despises the "used up party girl who successful locks down a beta provider", we can't start pretending that they are in decline. Hate it all you want, but its a pretty damn successful strategy. TRPers are just too well informed to ever fall for it.
