What causes the difference is not the issue. As always the cause is of importance. Hell, they've already stopped research into linking gayness to genetics because that wouldn't be politically correct. You were the one who brought up a potential link, I assumed you had some research on that. Also interesting example on homosexuals. The transgender community seems to appreciate their sexuality/identity being linked to genetics or observed differences in the brain as it justifies transition. As with many other things there are likely both cultural and genetic factors at play here. I once had a graph on the variability of blood levels or something but I can't seem to find it right now. I can't find the original article I am thinking of, but I did find this where x non-inactiviation checksum genes lead to lower cancer rates in women. I know some genes escape X inactivation. I think it's very likely that there is some biological component to males being more variable in spatial intelligence (math) i.e. perhaps some recessive X-linked traits being expressed here? There is some research that challenges this notion as well but it's not very strong in my opinion. I don't think we can extrapolate this finding to all traits though.
