Yes you can just say it nonchalantly in order to grab her attention like "glad Im Alvie to be on this date with you cuz I got robbed yesterday" (add a smirk/smile) and once you have her attention joke with her saying how you saved the day. Just because they're religous doesn't make them "crazy" or any form of crazy or different. It's not bad for someone to have values like that. So to say that they're a "special" kind of crazy is very judgemental and not how you should treat them just cuz they have certain morals and rules

I honestly would ignore this. If you respond to her with a compliment she will know that whenever she's fishing or feeling down she can go to you for a quick and easy pick-me up. It's not your job to compliment her whenever she says something as simple as this. I personally find it better to just ignore this and divert the conversation somewhere else. If there's one thing I learned from this subreddit it's that no one is ever out of your league. You can get whatever girl you want you just got to be willing to put the work in and stay confident.
