It's alright, I'm trying to come to terms with it

Thanks, you too

All good now, thanks for asking. It just hurts when I see men's suffering invalidated like this.

Cool. Guess I wasn't raped then.

Truth. I almost got stabbed a week ago. Granted, it was almost midnight, but still.

There's a lot of people calling her out on Twitter for this. I'm kinda happy that this is happening.

Wow, it's almost like I said that in the first line

I know that this is not what the article is about, but the law in the UK is surprisingly arse-backwards. Sure, a man can be raped, but the law says it only counts as rape if done by another man. If a woman forces him to penetrate her, it's not rape. The woman doesn't get in trouble, the man does. So yes, we do have sexist rape laws. It drives me fucking insane.

Every day I find more and more reasons to want to disappear. This is another one of them.

Good. I would wish worse upon them, but they don't deserve it.

Solidarity. The same thing happened to me when I was 14. I didn't bother to tell anyone because I didn't think anyone would believe me. The definition of rape in the UK needs to be changed.

Oh no, she was jailed in 2014 too. She's been out for 5 or so years now, and that's if she even served the full sentence.

This happened back in 2014, so I must have been in Sixth Form. It was all over the news though.

It's been a long time since then, but the one phrase that has been burned into my mind after all those years is "it's not the same". Every teacher said some variation of that phrase and hearing it now makes me so angry

Here's the kicker: both.

The most smug, punchable face ever. I remember hearing about this story as it was reported. Tons of people in my school at the time (including teachers) tried to justify it, which fills me with nothing but utter disgust.

Again, to most people, it wouldn't matter what she was doing, he would still get in trouble for "defending himself." Also, there is the matter of fight-or-flight: in the midst of panic, some people don't do either, they just outright freeze. It's all well and good looking back and saying what you would have done in that situation, but it doesn't always work that way.
/r/AntiFeminists22/10/21 06:42 AM

Because even with video proof of him being attacked first, there is a very high likelihood that - in the public eye, at least - he still would have been in the wrong for attacking a woman.

Of course, but at the same time, a lot of people still don't see the problem with it.

Glad to see people in the comments calling it out. This needs to happen more often.

And they've called it what it actually is. Good.

"I am woefully under-qualified to talk about Charlie Watts" Here's a tip: then don't.

We'll adopt a neutral stance when they do. Until then, no deal.

And there it is.

...huh. Yeah, I guess that'll do it.

But we all know it wouldn't be a 3 year sentence for the man. Maybe add an extra 0 to the end of that and you'd get a more believable sentence.

I'm gonna say it again: that doesn't make it any better.

That doesn't make it any better, though.

I almost joined that 86% and I was laughed at when I came forward about it.

Well yeah, because if we try and stand up for ourselves, we'd probably get arrested.

I suppose. And also unlike FDS, MGTOW got quarantined.

I believe MGTOW was kind of like that? I can't be too sure though.

And if you bring up any issues you may have faced, they respond with "yeah, but this conversation isn't about you", which utterly infuriates me.

"Do what you must. I have already won."

"It's a misogynistic hate subreddit." ...right. And what would you classify FDS as?
/r/MensRights22/04/21 07:44 PM

That phrase alone pisses me off something fierce. I'm glad that someone's talking about it.

Haha, like hell it does.
/r/AntiFeminists17/03/21 08:36 PM

Another standard response they have is "this conversation isn't about you". That shit sends me into a blind fucking rage.

And the world at large wonders why "toxic masculinity" and all that other crap exists... God's teeth. This kinda shit makes me wanna just shut off the world for a while, hide in my own bubble and forget about everything.

This makes me so fucking angry. SO FUCKING ANGRY. People are so quick to jump to conclusions with so little fucking evidence or context.

Every time I see someone type like that, I assume they're quoting the title of a mathcore song or a Fall-Out Boy song.
