Who are these women? Where are they? Name names, point us in their direction so we can go more on than just "trust me bro." Also, do you work for the Census Bureau?

Because they (feel they) don't have use for a human partner and have (seemingly) accepted that reality for themselves. These are people comfortably disconnected from (parts of) humanity. I don't think it's that complicated.

I don't know, maybe ask those specific men? If they're the exact same men that do both of those things, then they should be easy to find, no? I'm sure you've got names or some kind of discerning features to tell them apart, yeah? Attraction is not a negotiation and neither are generalizations, apparently.

Most of the Twitch streamers I watch now are women. I spend most of my time there playfully trolling (when they sing/dress/play games terribly) in their chats, making fun of them (a few are from Oklahoma, some are short, one drives a Tesla) thru TTS and traumitizing them with meme songs (ex. "Bi-Racial" by Sean Fury, the Wawa Hoagie song, the McDonald's jingle on a loop, etc.) thru media share. It amuses me and strengthens the communities LOL

Antisocial guy here. I didn't survive in life because I'm like this. I'm like this because I survived. It's what keeps me alive and if it's what keeps me alone? Well, so be it, lady mod and others. Consequences will come for us all, no matter what we do, might as well prep for them. That's simple cause and effect. Save your cutesy "good guy" and "bad guy" labels for fictional stories where morality is objective. Deserve's got nothing to do with it. No one is owed anything. It is what it is.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/04/26 06:12 AM

You're a choice she makes just like all the people she got with were choices during that phase. A different kind of choice, obviously, but a choice nonetheless. It's up to the other person if they accept being said choice and what comes with that. No one is being forced to do anything in the situations we're laying out here. You're not a piece of luggage she picks up at the end of her journey. You're a person who can say yes or no, so act like it. If her past (ex. STDs, kids, exes, projection/tr…

Everyone shows their true self eventually. Me, you, all of us. And that's not exclusively a guy, gal or non-binary pal thing. That's a human thing to frame not just one specific group of people with. Don't get so caught up in and feeling all high and mighty about vetting people (for whatever reason, even if it's safety) that you lose sight that you're liable to be vetted too. The person "in" the friend zone is just as responsible as the person who "put" them there. It's just another version of sunk cost fallacy, in my opinion. That's the cost of talking past and at each other rather than to each other. We hear each other (ex. things we like, don't like) but are we actually listening out for the crux and core of what is being said/meant? I personally don't believe so hence the circlejerk.

Counterpoint: Men, stop allowing yourself to be "gaslit" into therapy. Do it because you want to do it and are willing to give an honest try. Take accountability for and action in your life, whatever it is that you choose to do. Don't get comfortable pointing the finger at others with a blame stick when you could be doing something else more productive with your time on Earth. Whining about other people whining is some clinging to victimhood-type shit.

/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/26 03:45 PM

Thank you for approving of other people's choices, oh great one. The impasse here is you arguing for and believing that the world "should" be a certain way, whereas I am acknowledging ways that it simply is/can be and accepting the nuance of it all. There is living proof of one size not fitting all and, for whatever reason, you've been railing against that. If we're gonna compare either one of us to a person saying the Earth is flat and refusing to hear reason, I think you'd be much more fitting…
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/26 07:39 PM

So, we're at an impasse here. You see disrespect towards others for not towing the family line, I see self-respect in making your own choices.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/26 06:52 PM

For some, sure. But what works and applies for some doesn't inherently do the same for others. Neither path is objectively better than the other and yet there's folks that do it differently from each other just fine. You think it's disrespectful, I don't. Some folks do the traditional thing of keeping their family name, others don't. That's the duality of humanity, that's life sometimes. There is no one "right" way to do it.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/26 06:44 PM

Most or some? Make up your mind, OP.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/26 05:13 PM

Hey, we don't choose our names at birth but are able to change it afterwards if you choose. "Respect" has nothing to do with it, that's how life is sometimes. You say family names aren't accessories and I say that people aren't solely vehicle to slap their family legacy bumper sticks on. The lives we live are our own, no wonder else's whether they're dead or alive. If that's wild then I personally don't wanna be domesticated.

No one can "make" you do anything. And, yeah, communication helps to get clarity so you're making an informed decision on how to move forward, regardless of one's interpretation of what "slow" means. If you don't like the way things are going, you can head out just like she can. That's called free will. 1) If you make a man wait for sex, you don't really like him. He doesn't have genuine sexual value to you It's rather simple: if you "like" a woman enough then you'll "wait" for sex or simply not treat her sexuality like a date on a calendar. Or gasp the two of you will be compatible overall and on the same page in terms of sex, so there's no weird Texas stand-off, guessing game and power imbalance about if whoever puts out first has the "advantage." No one is forced to do anything and to steal …

Instead of letting those people's words "force" you deeper into a hole of despair, self-pity and downright shittiness, perhaps it's better served to highlight the kind of people not worth having in your life. Seems to just simply expose who they are as human beings and tell you all you need to know about them as individuals. That's just plain self-selection LOL Maybe it's more effective as a filter, not as futility? But, unfortunately, some would rather cling onto victimhood than sovereignty.

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past, I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Isolation during COVID was a big reset for me in that respect. Somehow, I magically managed to have a longer lasting social battery than ever before. In terms of (professional) accountability, I'd say her career stateside has dried up and she's been dropped from a few projects in Europe since then. Because the people doing it are doofuses and those being held back, women in this case, constantly call them out on being doofuses. No, I am not accusing you of generalizing. I was conveying how your comment reminds me of times I've seen women seemingly point towards individual men needing to take accountability for things that other men do. There's a parallel. Like poetry, it rhymes.

It entirely depends on what (if anything) took the place of those "missed" experiences. Because those things are a way bigger part of who a person is than what they didn't have or do. If someone looks down on, pities or rejects you in any way for a milestone you "missed" then, good, the trash incompatible takes itself out, no matter how nice and understanding they appear to be.

Like their soul, mental health and/or overall happiness? We're all heading to the grave one way or another and perhaps, to them, your idea of "success" would just be getting them there earlier than they'd like. There is no one singular "right" way to live life, ya know.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/11/25 03:33 PM

So what if that's what (some) women associate it with? Unless you're living your life for them, complete strangers who don't have your best interests at heart in the slightest, it's all fucking moot.

/r/PurplePillDebate02/09/25 07:17 PM

It’s not personal. It doesn't have to be personal to the person making the decision. But, that doesn't mean it isn't to the person on the other/wrong end of that decision. If we go around brandishing the "it ain't personal" tag long enough, I'm sure we'll veer into invalidating people's hurt. And the issue I have is people telling others what they "should" do/act/be when it seems that it's really just to benefit themselves. I can obviously see the argument for dealing with rejection healthily. I assume that's because women aren't inherently assholes? Not saying men are either but come on now.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/08/25 04:31 PM

I assume the nuance comes from that the "toxic" part can be subjective. What's perceived as "good" by some are not by others. And the culture of various time periods play a role in that too, I feel. What was generally accepted at one time might not have been 50 years before or after.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/08/25 01:47 PM
6

See, now this makes sense to me, especially the victimhood part. Like any other characteristic, certain kinds of masculinity are rewarded or poo-pooed by certain kinds of people. It's all situational. Being policed isn't the same thing as being under attack but I obviously believe both are prevalent when it comes to masculinity and probably always has been. It is what it is.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/08/25 01:46 PM

So are we saying "society" simply wants to monolopize/control/police masculinity as a whole and rather demonizes the "wrong" kind of masculinity?

There's definitely a stretch being made and rightfully so, IMO. However, it's still a stretch. Maybe even a blanket generalization, if you will. At the end of the day, that misinterpretation is on the generalizer not the people (who are not a monolith) the generalization is about. It's all relative and being a "good" person doesn't automatically equal being a person someone else will be attracted to. Men can't afford to be like their grandfathers (ex. toxic masculinity, lack of education, etc.) either nowadays and I see that as similar to women not being able to afford being like their grandmothers, albeit on a smaller scale.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/25 01:00 AM

I personally think the toxic masculinity topic is basically people telling others what they should and shouldn't do/be. Trad folks have their traditions and gender roles that they really stick to in terms of what people should be/do. Non-trad folks have things such as toxic masculinity as guidelines for what people should be/do.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/25 12:27 AM

You hear men these days complaining because women aren’t like their grandmothers were, but women aren’t able to be like their grandmothers were. They literally can’t afford to be. I feel similarly about men nowadays not being like their grandfathers as they can't afford to be but obviously at a lower level/stakes.

On one hand I agree that being a virgin doesn't make you a bad person. On the other hand some people just don't wanna go through the motions of "training" someone. But, aren't these two completely different and damn near unrelated things? The first is a judgement upon someone else and the second is someone outting their own values. IMO, the only reason to merge these two together is if you're spewing empty platitudes and trying to soften a blow of rejection.

Or simply just see "good" and "bad" as being subjective/relative and decide not to live your life as an audition/performance for others. Life is not some story where you have to fit yourself into a specific (ex. hero, villain, etc.) role for. There is no one writing a script that we have to follow. Prioritize other things over how you're perceived and you'll be fine, I say. From there, whatever happens happens.

I don't see the issue here. These women get to feel like they're in control. And the men who aren't abusive, if they have any self-respect, aren't bothered because those women are dropping out to make way for women who don't put those restrictions on themselves. The trash incompatible takes itself out, which makes less work for the "good" men that can focus and have a better chance of being directed toward those who actually want them for who they are rather prejudge/fear them for what they are.…

I don't think it's that deep but I do think "no one is owed a relationship/sex" is a shitty and tone-deaf thing to say towards people who have not displayed any kind of entitlement. And that's something I've regular seen around here (and other dating/relationship subreddits) from the usual suspects.

But, even that can only "fix" so much. I doubt women talking it out with and getting support from their girlfriends accomplishes everything it needs to either. Why do you think it can only accomplished through dystopian-esque means? If there can be a more effective method, then why shouldn't we do it? Because we've been trying since the beginning of civilization and, well........................ I'm just happy that it isn't my choice to make about how society is run and how people should act and how things overall should be. Nothing. Unless you wanna start doing some dystopian futuristic mind-control/draconian Big Brother-type shit that sacrifices/threatens liberty to (perhaps) completely eradicate hate, violence, crime, etc. It's not about what we can do, it's about what we're willing to do and how far we're willing to go to get some kind of utopia. Live your own life, try not to put too much importance of the strangers' perception of you as an individual that it's based on a bunch of nothing and be wary of your su…

It honestly depends on whether we are into the guy. And really that's all that matters, above all else. I feel it's regularly overlooked in these kinds of discussions in favor of hyperfocusing on the typical insecurities people have such as sexual experience, looks, wealth, etc. He's a virgin/inexperienced? It's fine if she's into him. He has a chronic illness? It's fine if she's into him. He's broke? It's fine if she's into him. He's not conventionally attractive or confident? It's fine if she'…

We don't have much context about the couple of outside them being in a pic together as fans of Josh Allen's Buffalo Bills, so I'd say harmless joke based on our collective limited knowledge. For all we know, he "loves" Josh Allen more than she does! If the husband is "in" on the joke, I don't see the issue...........?

The most important judge a person can have is themselves. But, that's a concept easier said than done to grasp in the face of being involved in such a connection/reaction based "game" such as dating. How (you think) people perceive you can impact how you perceive yourself, for better and for worse.

No, I want to be genuinely wanted and liked for who and what I am. Life is too short to be playing pretend on that level. The other person isn't a damn lottery ticket, they're not doing me a favor and vice versa. Seeing it that way sounds so counterproductive and disrespectful to one's self. Who in their right mind would want to be around or with someone that thinks/feels/talks that way?

But how many of our precious liberties are we willing to compromise and/or sacrifice in order to accomplish this? Same goes for stopping school shootings, we "can't" just straight up control/force people into not doing it but we also probably shouldn't just throw our hands up and say "welp, there's only so much we can do" either. Do we go full-on Minority Report? Do we just put shock collars or bombs on people's neck to coerce/threaten folks into not doing these things? Or how about mind control…
/r/PurplePillDebate05/09/24 10:13 PM

I find it cringeworthy, the phrase just makes me think (and maybe even say if I'm feeling snippy enough) "Who the fuck died and left you in charge of determining what masculinity is?" To me, "man up" is yet another dressed up insult in the English lexicon. Instantly makes me not take the person who said it seriously.

These men want to be desired so maybe don't mess with that unless you don't care about him and/or the relationship? Choose your words better, keep some things to yourself, comparison is the thief of joy, leave if you don't truly want them. Simple enough? Treat your relationships with care, everyone!

And then it's these emotionally uneducated women who go on to tell men how they should and shouldn't act And, when I really think about it, that's kind what the whole toxic masculinity "debate" is, isn't it?
