That's what makes it so challenging to change it. If you want to go that route, how about we train our girls not to assault or abuse boys and thinking they can get away with it. Maybe if they made a more explicit one like "98% of rapes are committed by men" they would want to cite some sources. While there will be variation in the actual number from study to study based on the population studied, variations in the definition of rape, and correction for underreporting, the tendency is still pretty clear and I've yet to see a study which hasn't found that a majority of rapes are committed by men.
