My greatest issue with your comment is the the assumption that humans as a whole are not positive or altruistic, and that the only consideration of women is negative. I would seriously reconsider your statement, as it soundz more like a demonization of women than an attempt to equalize gender. Edit: words and phrasing that were honestly terrible.

Look, it gets a bad wrap, but if the person who gets a sociology degree actually is willing to work, then it's not a job death sentence. There's an absurd number of jobs that need people who have both theoretical and direct experience with racial and class issues that sociologists have in spades. Not to mention they help us understand the current issues and disparities in our society. I'm not surprised she went into sociology. A lot of smart women see how women do get the short end of the stick …
