I do see your point - I guess I'm just not terribly bothered by it since anyone is free to start a Kickstarter for whatever cause they desire that they are passionate about. I don't expect other people to carry the torch for the things I find important. I agree that the more accurate Kickstarter would be named 'lets stop making one-dimensional video game characters that rely on gender stereotypes", but I'm not sure that has much of a ring to it :D

Personally, I think both sexes are pretty stereotyped in games. I don't see anything intrinsically wrong with her working to change a facet of that. It doesn't seem like there's any real implication being made here that men don't suffer from being stereotyped in games as well.

I understand that logic as well, but the same logic could be applied to many things, like fingerprinting, or taking a polygraph. I still maintain that is should be my choice if I want to hand my DNA over to the state or not.

On the other hand, as a man, I don't think it is really the states job to decide if I want a paternity test done. I should NOT have to submit to a DNA test just because I want to have a child, and neither should my wife.

I don't really disagree with anything you are saying - was more pointing out that if you are specifically criticizing the OP's statements based on lack of evidence, then there are many many other posts that are far more guilty of that. I appreciate this guy's effort to at least try to get a collection of datapoints larger than the typical "I talked to 1 girl and this is what happened".

Yeah, I couldn't speak to how it works as I've not tried it yet myself. I think it might depend very much on how busy the bar is/the general vibe of the place as well as where you sit, but like I said, this was just a post that was on here a while back, I'm not pretending to have anything to back it up yet :)

there was a post up here someplace where a guy was talking about how reading a book up at the bar (not at a table) was great for pulling. It sets a strong frame, makes you look comfy in your own skin and gives people an easy reason to approach.

Great point! I appreciate you bringing this up, and I think you are spot on. It really does depend on the scale I think. There are tons of alternative ways to live that work great on one scale, but not on a larger scale. I don't know, I haven't really looked into it to be honest. That figure does seem high, if that's what you are getting at. On the other hand, if biologically, men where tuned to be hunter/gatherers I can definitely see why we might see more incidents of this in boys, given the relative advantages the ADD mind may have in those situations.
