2	How can I improve my dm game? My number one rule for DMing is prep work. Your players can tell when you don’t prep, but they sometimes won’t care. You should also know who you’re DMing for. It may seem harsh, but I never recommend DMing for a group you don’t really like unless you’re some kind of godlike RPer.
